This was an after hours drop off. Luck for me the owner was there and told me where to drop off the truck. Nothing was denoted on the online drop off instructions or by the owner about the equipment I returned so I left it in the back of the truck. Disappointed it wasn't secured.Marvin B.

Kelley was very polite and professional. However, the van was dirty inside and smelled like a cattle truck. The seats had dog hair all over them. I felt like I needed to shower and change clothes when I got home.James F.

we made an online appointment to pick up a 5x8 trailer, there was no one on site the day of the appointment but the web site said it open 2 hours earlier we waited for 15 minutes calling the dealership phone number several times finally called the toll-free U-Haul number and waiting for customer service they were able to get ahold of lot owner and said he would be right there. He is a nice guy and apologized for the miscommunication. then after getting the contract in order, we went outside, and he helped us hook up the trailer to our vehicle he said all was good and lights where in working order, so we left. later I checked the running lights and turn signals and brake lights for my own piece of mind, but they were not working properly we checked for loose connection but determined it was just burnt-out light bulbs we had almost 600 miles to pull this trailer and no time to take it back. We are very disappointed and not sure if the need arises, we will go backMark B.

Be helpful, honest and upfront with charges especially if customer is paying for a full day for which he/she is unaware. Especially when the business representative is aware this is a new experience for their customer,,,the customer is asking questions, etc...it is appropriate and important to look at and listen to the customer who obviously doesn't understand all that is involved. For the business rep to reply to customer concerns with answers like, " I'll look at it" "or I'll fix it when... " does not help the customer to know what the answer will be in the long run. It is more personal when a business representative stops looking at their phone or computer while helping their customer. It is important that the business representative answer their phone and return telephone calls they can see that have been made to their phone even though their mailbox remains full and the business representative is fully aware their mailbox is full. Also, it is important for the business representative to know the pricing and honestly disclose all for which the customer will be charged. These are tough times for everyone especially for an older customer on a limited income. Yes, the customer is responsible for learning all they can about what is involved, but it is also the responsibility of the business representative to pay attention so they can answer the customer to ensure the customer is getting the best possible service. Paraphrasing a saying known to many in the business world: A customer doesn't care how much the business representative knows until the customer knows the business representative cares about the customer and their well-being.Margaret C.

Had a problem with the gas readings. When we picked up vehicle, the gas gauge was barely showing above 1/4 tank of gas. After driving 51 miles we returned vehicle after filling tank across street with3.5 gals gas. That brought the gas gauge to midway between 1/4 & 1/2 tank full. Measurably more than when we picked up vehicle. When I received final billing via email, there was an additional charge of almost $7.00 for gas. We should not have been charged for that. As indicated above. We replaced the gas used plus additional Amy to ensure this did not happen. Check your gauges. Will look for other rentals on my next use.Wayne B.

The tires were bald oil light was on and the guy knew all that I will not go to that place ever again let alone I was over charged also I reserved a 10 footer and went to pick it up and they had none so they sent me to a second place and they didn't have one either so they ended up giving me a 15 footer which was the worse uhaul I ever drive and I reserved 3 weeks in advance. In my opinion that place needs shut down. Very unhappy and will go else where when I need a moving truckJack M.

I had taken the time to properly reserve a 10 foot vehicle online. Once at the pick up location, i was told that the shortest vehicle available was a 20' and 26' vehicle. There was a 15 foot vehicle parked on the lot at my arrival however, I was told that the young female customer without a reservation in front of me had just rented the 15 foot vehicle. Why go through the reservation process, when a "walk in customer" has preference over the lot? The much larger vehicle issued to me had large orange food crumbs on the passenger seat, in the floor boards, in the cup holders and dash pockets. The interior was sticky and disgusting. Evidently this vehicle had not been cleaned in some time. My wife and I washed everything down with clorox wipes prior to our usage of the vehicle. I absolutely did not reserve or ask for the "furniture pads" that were in the rear of the truck when it was issued to me. However, I was charged for them. My guess it that the previous occupants were too lazy to fold the pads, and the Uhaul representative that issued the vehicle to me was too lazy to remove them, therefore I was charged for them? With my son in college I find myself having to rely on rental moving vehicles in order to move in and out of dorm/apartments yearly. Until now, my experiences with Uhaul has been excellent. My pick up time was 2PM. I arrived at 1:50PM and found a note on the door that the owner was gone to lunch. I waited until just past 3PM for him to show up. I had seriously considered calling the 800 number to see if there was another location to pick up the trailer. When he arrived he was not apologetic for making me wait and seemed to be in no big hurry to take care of me. I understand that U-Haul is not his primary business, but I went with his location because it was a guaranteed reservation. That guarantee should include being on time.Dwight B.

We were told we were going to be charged $165 for a 4 day rental. Terry (The owner) started he wouldn't charge us for Sunday because he was closed. He also said that the dolly and blankets on the truck stayed with the truck at all times so even if we didn't need them they stay with the truck. We were charged almost $500! We were charged for insurance which was never discussed. We were charged ridiculous gas mileage even though we only drove 70 miles and the gas needle barely changed. We called the 1800 uhaul number and was told they would submit an incident and we'd hear from a manager in 3 days. It's been a week and we haven't heard from anymore regarding our concerns.ANDREA M.

Horrible!! Supposedly they were open until 5:00 pm. I showed up at 2:30 pm and the sign on the door said OPEN but nobody was around. I waited for 30 minutes, tried calling their number, tried calling U-haul but was informed it would be a 20 minute wait. I finally left and wend to a computer. Tried messaging U-haul -- didn't even get a response. After multiple attempts, I finally drove around and found another U-haul location that was open. The man there informed me that I would be charged extra if I left the car hauler with him. He said I should be OK if I just leave the hauler at the location that wasn't open so that's what I ended up doing. It worked out because I received a receipt the next day but how would they ever know I returned it if someone would have come by and stolen it. As of now - three days later, nobody has returned my calls or given me any explanation. HORRIBLE customer service by both U-Haul and the individual location. Unbelievable !!!Theodore S.

While the location and owner were incredibly helpful, the auto-relocation UHaul is doing when trucks/lots aren't available is unacceptable. The woman in line behind me couldn't get the truck she needed and she (like myself) had to drive 30 miles outside of where she lived to get a truck. There needs to be a more straightforward way to let people know where they need to be rather than just texting them a new address the day they need to pick up their vehicles.William W.
