We picked up keys early but went back for truck once husband was home from work since he was driving. They close at 4pm. When my husband started the truck - check engine light was on. We drove to our house - less than 2 miles away and loaded. When my husband moved it to the street for the night - check engine light was still on. We called the place when it was open and the husband relayed the message to his wife. We received a text with whom to call if it breaks down. The steering wheel had to be turned to ten o’clock position to drive straight. My husband shared a picture with the U-Haul place we dropped off at. This is the 2nd weekend in a row that we had to either pull or drive something that wasn’t safe. U-Haul - take care of your equipment. As indicated from the husband on the phone, this is his wife’s part of the business.
TRENT SThe employee said the lights worked but the lights didn’t work and we had to drive 150 miles without lights on a highway. We had to take another vehicle to stay behind our vehicle that we towed the U-Haul for safety purposes. When we got to the U-Haul location for drop off, the individual tested, removed a section of wire and replaced and lights worked. He showed us where the wire was bad.
KRISTINE SThere is no way traveling 140 miles (there and back) plus another approximately 15 miles, and yes we kept the truck an extra day cost $589. But that is what we were charged. Not happy with UHAUL at all.
HERBERT WFor one the person that rented us the U-Haul was very incompetent about her job. We had a total of 5 calls and not only had I already drove almost an hour, she had assured me I could have rented what I needed, made it a big deal over a rental that she was not sure if it would even work. Her immediate job, didn’t seem to care. Than she over charged me after on the phone she agreed on a price. Worst location and service!!! When we came to drop off the dolly, no one was around to make sure it got checked it. There were a few gentleman with U-Haul shirts but they all said it was not their job to check in the items that came in! All in all, what incompetent employees, shitty service!
Jose SThis is not my job to tell someone how to run a business properly. Well, make sure the equipment is in working order.. I left out to load a vehicle on trailer and a tire was flat. Then, a strap was mounted incorrectly and needs to be disassembled. Because of the twist it would unbind itself and rub the trailers inner fender as well. Not to mention had to drive 30 minutes out of the way because the local uhaul only rented to locals and then….pay almost $200 for a car dolley!! I paid less to use an enclosed trailer from Nash like for days.
Chris IThese guys went above and beyond with our rental. Upon pickup we were having an issue with the lights on the trailer - they were willing and eager to help resolve it. Then when my wife went to return the trailer, they backed it up for her. She had gotten a flat along the way and they even put the spare on for her, no questions asked. We truly have never experienced such quality service when renting a U-Haul and are excited to use this location again in the future.
