The owner of the variety store was sweeping the floor upon arrival with nobody else in the store. I indicated that I was there to pick up a truck reservation. He told me they would be with me shortly and he continued to sweep the floor until I later asked if someone else was coming. Finally he came to the counter. The pickup process to way too long and I had rented a dolly which was not provided. They said, only if there is one in the truck, which there wasn't. Also, U Haul needs to change the fuel policy and have it so all vehicles are brought back full. This is the way every rental car company does it and it doesn't have you leaving and having to fuel up as soon as you get the vehicle if the tank is low!

This end was a little smoother, but I did get a milage overage charge when I was told I wouldn't get any because of the change in pick up location.

Dropped off on Sunday when location was open, the app failed to load properly for equipment drop off and I asked for assistance from location. They did not offer help, app said someone would call from Uhaul, as a result left hoping the app would at least acknowledge that I dropped it off when I pressed the return equipment button. Ended up being charged an extra day because of this.

It’d be really helpful if trucks were equipped with cruise control. Mileage overage fees ought not to include miles driven to collect the truck when the closest franchise doesn’t have the vehicle needed. I was doing you a favour by relocating it. I think I’ll submit an invoice for that service.

Uhaul should do more reminders of dropping off times and location on texting on the phone

The truck was dirty out side inside the cab on passenger side and inside the box. The gas cap was broken and the windshield wipers do not work. Also the front end shakes when braking. The shop owners where friendly and accommodating.

I dropped the van off after hours on February 17, 10:15ish, and followed the instructions in the contract to call Uhail when I saw that there was no drop box, and was asked to drop the key in the Canada post mailbox in front of the convenience store. I got a call from the owner of the franchise next day, telling me off for dropping the key in the mailbox. She wouldn't even allow me give an explanation. She continued to yell and insult; her words "anyone with common sense would know not to..." that was the last straw; I stopped her and told her she needed to learn to listen. That was when I was able to explain that I called Uhaul when we couldn't find a drop box, and we were given instructions to place the key in the mailbox. It's been a harrowing experience resolving the key issue. I got an email from the area field manager informing me the key issue isn't resolved... This location had no visible Uhaul signage. We drove around in the business complex a few times until we saw another parked Uhaul truck, parked beside it and then had to walk around in -15 temperature looking for the store. Turns out to be a convenience store with a small Uhal sign on the door.

Personnel at drop off location told me they were not allowed to have trailers there. Not sure why Uhaul told me to leave the trailer there.
