For your app, allow customer to record miles and fuel before pickup as well. This way customer is not charged extra if the prior records are wrong. For this location, the owner can use additional training. We ordered extra equipment and pads and nothing was available. Without furniture pads, our refrigerator got scratched badly and tv was ruined during the move. Dinning room table was damaged too. The truck was not ready but was in good shape. The dolly in the truck and the bag for pads did not have zip ties which indicated that prior customer used them and I had no way of proving that we did not open/ use them. Luckily, the owner believed us and took the charges off. Also, it took us multiple calls to customer service and 20 extra minutes to open a lockbox to retrieve the key. The locks are very finicky. Overall pickup process with the app took 40 minutes which was way too long.
JOHN DThe way that the charges are explained on the bill is difficult to understand. I am also receiving a text nearly two weeks after the retnal indicating that I need to pay additional Uhaul charges. I am not sure if this is a scam or valid.

SUSHIL AThe truck itself had horrible gas mileage. Fuel economy gauge always was bottomed out no matter how I would drive.
ABDULKARIM EFirst, the truck had 1/4 tank of gas, so we had to get gas before we could even get started. Then, we received only 6 moving blankets when we requested 12. The app kept locking up during check in when trying to take and submit pictures of the vehicle. When I went into the store for help, the guy there ignored me and went outside. I followed him out and asked if he worked there and if he could help me to check it in because the app was locking up. He told me it was already checked in. I assumed I would get a receipt at the end of the check in process, but I never reached the end, so I asked him for a receipt. I also told him that we requested a dozen moving blankets, but only 6 were provided. It took him about 15 minutes of no communication and multiple phone calls to try to figure out how to get a receipt. Then he finally told me someone would email me a receipt. When I received the receipt, I had been charged for 12 AND 6 blankets. So, after all that, I needed to then contact U-Haul directly to get credited for the extra charge. Not a fun experience.
Jonathan EThe truck I rented was not enough so I upgraded the my truck. It was bad very very very bad. Dirty. Not even serviced since long. Break was not even proper. Stirring wheel was hard. Whenever I make turns it was noisy. Worst uhaul experience.

Eric AI gave the measurements of the item I was transporting an hour away. The man that helped me at u-haul rentals assured me it would fit in the vehicle. Drove an hour away to find out it didnt fit. Was forced to rent a second u-haul. Horrible experience.

Sean BDon't have a uhaul place at a sketchy indian food store in a strip mall. Owner of the food store was late to open the store where I waited to get the keys to the uhaul. He did not go over anything with me, including the condition of the truck which was dirty with sand everywhere, peanuts, chips and candy wrappers on the floor and in the sticky cup holders. DId not do any walk around the outside of truck to mark any damage etc. before my use. The only thing he said was to refill the tank to the 1/2 mark and when I started the truck the gas was at 3/8 of a tank. When I returned it in New York, I put $12 more dollars of gas in it and it brought it to over 1/2 tank so I spent more than I should have to refill it. The truck bed was never swept out and there was dirt and sand all over the bed. I swept out someone elses mess. I thought these trucks were to be cleaned before the next person rented it. I told the person at the drop off location in Greece New York about the condition of the truck and the incorrect gas tank quantity at pick up and he seemed to not care at all. Said don't worry about it. Cost me over $400 to carry 2 small pieces of furniture which is absurd. Why doesnt the customer just refill the tank full each time of use so there is no guessing on the refill? Makes no sense to guess at the 1/2 mark. And the gage of guessing the amount is useless. I suggest taking pictures of the truck inside and out to make sure you don't get charged with something the previous renter did or didnt do.

Carlin WClerk said fuel is at 5/8 position. When I drove truck few yards, I realized it was at close to 1/2. It is hard to come back to show him, I left. Uhaul over charged me $20 for early pickup, and $20 for day early after hours drop off. Very unhappy.

Jamie LI will not deal with this U Haul store in the future. Took all the info, drivers license, credit card, etc. but did not receive any paperwork on the way out and none on the return. When I went to return the equipment my records could not be found and the clerk who originally handled the transaction suggested that I had picked it up at some other location. This was only one hour after I had rented the equipment. Very suspicious. I have locked my credit card so no future charges can be made against it.
Richard HI had less gas in the tank than what the initial contract stated. I didn’t get the option to verify the initial mileage and the gas gauge before signing the agreement!
Rabia SWhen we got the truck, it only had a quarter tank of gas, meaning we had to take the truck and go get gas right away. Which delayed moving and took up time from the allotted time we had for the rental. We understand and were fine with having to fill the truck back up with gas at the end of the day, it just delayed the experience because we had to get gas at the beginning and at the end.
Kaitlyn GI dropped the uhaul off at 11:15am the day after pickup. The drop off location did not check me in until 4:00pm. I was charged an extra day and fees, which was $64. When I tried to discuss this with them, they only said it “how is this my fault?’” These people are rip offs and I can promise this isn’t going to stop here. UHaul should be ashamed to allow these kind of people to represent their name. I should not have to fight for my money back when they made the mistake. I would never recommend these people
Josh YI picked up my U-haul trucjk and the gas gauge was at 1/4 full tank. The person said it was at 1/4 full at the register. I returned the truck with the tank just above 1/4 full. The gauge on the truck does not have 1/8s. I was charged for 4 gallons of full. I am not satisfied with overall customer service at this location. When I dropped off the truck I was asked to park the truck and no personal check the truck. The final receipt came 1 day after drop off.
Steven CLook for another place. The owner refuse to provide back our deposit. He just received the keys and let us know to go back 3 hours away to get the deposit. After calling the costumer service line. 25 minutes later. And after me asking him to check on the truck and milage. He did it. He was rude and mad. He was the owner. He wanted to kept the money. Thinking that we were not Americans! And we did not speak English. It took me more then 1 1/2 to get part of the deposit. He did not provide me with a printed receipt. The whole experience was awful. How many customer had to go through the same situation? He just wanted to keep the money.
Victoria SI will never go here again. It's a grocery store. I was an hour late for my pick up, I called said I eas still coming. "Ok" was the answer. Then I'm told that I'm late and I might not get it. I said you have about 8 trucks out there. Instead of getting it for the full 6 hrs he shortened it to four. Ok fair enough, I eas late. But I wish I went to a uhaul store. I didn't sign any paperwork.he didn't take me to the truck. His grocery store phone and personal phones were ringing. He gave me the key. I had to go find the right truck. It was dirty and an old 15ft truck that rattled had no get up and go and was so loud. I tried to fill the gas to "5/8" upon return well it didn't work out well I ended up filling it because the needle didn't show the accurate amount until I started the truck. So I filled it. No receipt when I returned it "I will email it" he was too busy in the store with grocery customers. I received the email only after calling that I didn't get it. "My computer printer was down" he sent a few screen shots from his cell phone. It's just not a professional place. Never again. I'll go to Penske next time.
DEBORAH SWhen dropping off the trailer there was no one available to help take the trailer off the vehicle. We were able to do it, but it was very heavy and difficult.

HOPE FI had a stressful, very poor experience with Uhaul last week. I was told from Uhaul 2 days before my reservation date that I’d have a 20’ truck available. When I got to my pick up location the day and time of reservation, there was no 20’ truck available. I had to use a 15’ truck because I did not have extra time to wait for a 20’ truck to become available - I even called around the area to see if a 20’ truck was available anywhere else. I had contracted a moving company to come at a specific time so I had no wiggle room. Therefore, I had to not only use a 15’ truck, but also ask my family to travel many hours to provide more storage space for the rest of my belongings that wouldn’t fit into the 15’ truck. This obviously was a major inconvenience and resulted in more money being spent on my end. You can improve by standing true to your word if you say you have a specific size truck available.

William BI had made the reservation 2 weeks prior to picking it up because I know uhaul is usually the busiest at the end of the month. The day prior they had to switch my reservation twice and the lady on the phone didn't actually reserve the truck for me they just confirmed the location was okay (it was a 25 minute drive from my location) I then had to call back in and they finally reserved the truck. When we went to pick up the truck the drivers side skirt was bent, a bunch of scratches on the side and a large gash in the driver's tire. Moving is stressful enough, wondering if our tire was gonna blow driving down the road was an added stress we didn't need.
John GGas fee added even though we filled back to where it was. $25 “cleaning fee” added. There was no trash. They asked you leave keys in truck and to leave so they can just charge your card after the fact and you can’t argue.
Sean HI didn't know that I should have checked in electronically and the young man took care of it for me and was very helpful. Turn in was quick and easy.
Earle MI had filled the gas to the same line where i got it , i drove only 36.1 miles and i had filled in more than 4 gallons of gas . i was still charged for 8 gals of gas and gas service fee. That is complete rip off

ANNA SOnline booking shows equipments available during booking but when you go to pick it up, it is NOT there! This leaves customers in last min runaround.
