KATHRYN MEquipment have technical issues. During towing a trailer was observed extensive tire thread wear due to bad bearing hub condition and tires temperature was hi.

MARK DThe trailer we rented was fairly clean and in decent shape for the age of the unit. It would however have been better if the unit was maintianed by Uhaul better. The rear loading door was difficult to close because the hinges were worn out and you had to lift the door significantly in order to close the dooe properly and even then, because of the codition of the hinges the door did not seal properly and dust and rain was able to penetrate into the unit requiring us to cover all the items inside the trailer unit so as not to get our items covered in dust and rain..
Keith BFirst of all this was not the location I chose. I was obligated by U-Haul to cancel my farewell plans and pick up the trailer a day before that I should. I drove 200 km to pick up the trailer. They offered me a “discount “ as a compensation however I had to pay for gas so there was no compensation at all. Once I got there there was no body to help me or instruct me about how to hook up the trailer. I cried my eyes out and begged for help. Only then I got help from the manager that was not at the store. They didn’t have the furniture dolly.
Jady BThere is no signage that says hiway groceteria on the building so I had no idea if it was actually the right place to return to. The return instructions are so vague.

SASCHA KHiway Groceteria was excellent and the trailer is amazing. I was very unhappy though with a U Haul employee calling me just minutes after I reserved a trailer, only to tell me that the trailer may not be available for the time I reserved it for. I asked if anyone had reserved that same trailer between my call to reserve and my pickup time, and she said "no". So I could not understand why U Haul operates this way. It was the worst customer service call I have had from a company and it made me quite upset. I said to her "you don't seem to understand what it means to reserve something". She just wanted to argue.
DON MThe trailer I picked up was in a very muddy field. I have a 4-wheel drive so that was not a problem. The problem was slogging through the mud in my running shoes. After I pulled the trailer out of the mud I realized it had a flat tire! This is something that should have been checked prior to me picking it up.

JOHAN HHeadlights were an issue as the brights were directing lights outward on tree tops instead of lower where needed. Pretty much used only the dims which oncoming traffic kept recognizing as brights.
Rita PI made one way booking and U-Haul confirmed it but on the pick-up day customer service representative at counter said you have to return it to same place. It was just one vehicle available which left no Choice to me, had to agree on when that said, and I ended up paying two way transport. Prior to that, U-Hauls customer care representative made the situation worse by cancelling the booked appointment but then lady on the counter made U-Haul fresh booking on the spot. Worse experience.

Wilfred KI wasn’t happy that no one called to tell me they had upgraded the size of the trailer I rented. Although it was within weight restrictions for my vehicle I didn’t feel comfortable pulling the trailer as it was a lot for my vehicle especially when loaded it made me uncomfortable. I have pulled many trailers before and it just made me uncomfortable with being so close to the maximum weight. I had rented an open trailer with the ramp on the back feeling much more comfortable with pulling it with my vehicle. Winkler mb staff were great .

Matt WHad to drive 5 hours to PU when notified the morning of pick up. No one was able to show operation of car dolly, truck was 5’ bigger than reserved and they didn’t allow enough km’s to travel. Short about 20% and found defective equipment. No communication, they have zero recourse as they say take it or leave it attitudes
Ronald AThe truck was disgusting, there was food all over the cab. The back was so dirty my wife had to go get a broom and sweep it out. There was some blue liquid spilt in the back.

IRVIN PDriver door did not work. Showed up at 8:30 to find out Depit only opened at 10:00. Tried to use app to check it out. Could not find out how to do it. That part was frustrating on moving day but overall the 15’ truck was very handy to move.
Mary FStaff at the Hiway Groceteria were friendly enough but inexperienced. Thet did not know anything about the uhaul trailer and sent me out for a cross canada tour with a bald tire and no spare. Thankfully the tire did not blow , which could have caused a serious accident. Also when it rained the uhaul trailer leaked water all over our clothes. The trailer was an older model which should have been taken off the road. In the future i will have to think twice before renting uhaul.

Greg AOverall experience with the Uhaul was very bad. I didn't face any issue at Winler Location except for cleanliness of the truck. however, I booked the truck in person at 1675 Inkster blvd and staff at the location has no professionalism when dealing with the customers especially when it comes to solving problems.
Ramandeep SWell I paid for a 26 ft but switch to a 15-ft and I did not get my refund back I put in the gas that I was approved and they charged me the extra for being late 20 minutes and on top of that I had to pay a $15 late charge fee which cost me $130 in total I am not very happy with the service that they gave me and I find that this is very unprofessional
Cameron KWe have U-haul point in our town,but had to pick up and even drop off in other town. If you have no car in needed location it is your problem,not mine. I also paid for 2 ways to my town myself. And they gave me wrong truck))) I paid for 15" they gave 12". I didn't get it in time. So the worst Rental in ever
Sergey BHorrible experience. We booked a uhaul rental truck as we were moving cities. A day before our booking, they told us they only had a smaller truck available. Major inconvenience for us as we needed to take everything in one trip and we had hired movers to help us. Then on the day of, after we loaded up the uhaul, the tire popped 10 minutes into our drive. This was around 4:30pm. We contacted roadside assistance. They said they would send someone to repair the tire. No one came. Hours went by. My husband was stranded in the uhaul truck alone without food, water, very limited reception, and no access to a bathroom for almost 8 hours. 8 hours!! After waiting on the phone for 30 minutes wait time each time, they kept reassuring us someone was on the way but no one arrived. No solution was provided to us. We were completely neglected and disregarded. We ended up finding a tow trucker around 11:30pm ourselves and begged uhaul to pay for the tow to get my husband home, as no other solution was being provided. In the end, he didnt make it home until around 2am. An entire day wasted. And in the end uhaul threw it back at us that they paid for an expensive tow (around $800) and that it makes up for the time we spent in the truck. No apology was given. We had to chase down uhaul representatives for compensation as our calls and emails were all being ingnored. Unbelievable. NEVER using uhaul or recommending to anyone. Also we dont believe the uhaul was inspected prior to giving it to us, as none of the staff I spoke to after the fact could confirm that it was checked.

Adam MThe truck was very unstable condition. The break was noisy and has to be pushed very hard unless not working. I was impressed we made the moving possible because of the condition of the truck. The staff at the location was super good though.
Changku LNo problems. Found it interesting that we were charged $0.24 for 0.6 miles over allowed mileage. Seems a little ridiculous for the overage.
