I recently experienced a major issue with your company which cost me extra money, time out of work to fix it and in needed aggravation . I have still not received a call back from corporate to explain what I am supposed to do. At this point I have lost more than just the $1480.00 overcharge to my business account. If court fees become involved it will then become a MUCH bigger problem Review I would NEVER recommend this location or any other U Haul location to ANYONE EVER AGAIN! I’ve used U Haul trucks for 35 years. We rented a truck , drove it from the pick up location ant Roanoke Alabama and turned it in that same evening at the drop off location in Wadley Alabama that was given to us by the drop off location. This was November 14th. They charged my card the appropriate charge that day. Flash forward to this week: They now show that the truck wasn’t turned in until December 3rd which is untrue. U-Haul lost our truck. U haul then charged my business checking account $1480.00 for the fictitious extra time. NEVER AGAIN! They corrected the overcharge but I am now trying to see how many overdraft fees that this has caused. The location that LOST our truck is Hometown market 49265 Alabama 22 Wadley AL 36276 U haul still hasn’t called me to explain what went wrong. They should compensate us for the time and aggravation of disrupting my business, costing me extra money and for wasting my time to straighten this out. Where is my call back to explain this U haul corporate? Incompetence ! Dont use this place for ANYTHING! Update: John Manning regional director returned my $1289.00 to my business account and paid me $200 for my inconvenience but still hasn’t paid my bank ach fee that the withdrawal caused in my business checking account. Next rental was from hometown furniture in Anniston on 3/31/26 3/31/26 Rented trailer 90 min check out Due to past issue not being properly cleared by John Manning & A national system shut down. John Manning still had my customer information showing that I still owed this money in the u haul system which caused me to be delayed on my pick up. Lost part of my day from a 10 min pick up process that turned into 90 min. When I asked John manning to check on it he said it needed to be updated to show that I did not owe anything and then was rude to me. I have the texts. Angela Goston at the Anniston location was great and non of this was because of her at all. It’s mostly due to John Mannings failure to properly update my name in the system. I NEED SOMEONE FROM CORPORATE TO CONTACT ME. YOU OWE ME COMPENSATION FOR MY WASTED TIME AT THE LOCATION AND FOR ALL THE PHONE TIME THIS IS CAUSING ME. My time is factored at $85 per hour. I’ve lost around 3 hours on this transaction so far. You have my phone number.

This location was in a bad neighborhood,in secluded area with little or no security cameras. There were random people walking very close to me as I attempted to take the photos required during the return process and was very uncomfortable to say the least. After I completed the return process and was told I was being logged out from my account I noticed after the page refresh that I suddenly was signed into someone else's account from Florida whom I have never heard of. I shared none of the same information with this person to have caused any confusion with the account such as a phone number,etc I viewed all their personal and payment information and the cost of their upcoming rental happened to be the exact amount that this drop off location happens to be attempting to overcharge my debit card for extra services of truck rental for 2extra days&2extra days of insurance. I would NEVER recommend going to this place to rent,pick up or even drop off anything. This person is a crook and will expose your private information as well

TINA MGiven I posted the poor quality of the cab during checkin, and was then charged for the same poor quality cab when checking out, there is no way I will return to this location: I must pay for someone else's messy habit. I fought against the charge when checking the vehicle in, and even talked to a professional about the quality of the cab: they left a note of dispute. I was still charged despite submitting photographs of the quality of the cab. Given the entire process was "automated," and the entire process was up to ME as a customer to verify information, the fact I was slapped with a cleaning fee on top of my being honest with the company is as much a slap in the face as anything else. If you visit this location, be prepared to do all the legwork a rep should have done AND be charged extra for doing it.

Craig SI will not rent the 6x12 trailer again. The hydraulic braking system would activate at every bump in the road. When we drove over bridges, the brake would activate at every expansion joint. We drove over the I-10 bridge in Pascagoula MS and it felt like my truck was hitting a hard stop for a fraction of a second. It was so hard hitting, my ABS light come on my dash. I was far from weight capacity and had the cargo evenly distributed.

IGOR EFirst I asked for an Appliance dolly, I was given a utility dolly, The workers I hired had to work to move the fridge, washer, and dryer more than was expected. I don't like to treat people that way, I told them I had the proper equipment booked. The app was somewhat confusing, I Immediately tried to change some details over the phone and the agent was no help at all. A simple change of drop-off location could have saved me half of the trip cost. cost per mileage is ridiculous, there should be an unlimited option when customers are willing to pay. I will be using a competitor for my future needs.

Didn’t get the mileage I was told I’d receive for going out of town to get a truck for a one way move. Will not rent a U-Haul again. Will not recommend U-Haul to anyone as well

We reserved a 15 ft truck and an auto transport. 2 days before - we were told we have a 26ft truck and a tow dolly. WTH?! Apparently reservations mean nothing to UHAUL, to say I am frustrated is an understatement. When we arrived at HomeRoom Furniture, the car dolly was added to our reservation. Way to go UHAUL. I am planning to give my opinion on social media. Absolutely ridiculous
Phillip HClerk couldn't get the other authorized driver registered so I was forced to do all the driving. Interior of truck was not clean. Water in the passenger door handle that got all over the passenger when she shut the door. Cup holders were disgusting. Gas light was on so I had to immediately get to a gas station.

Robin RI wanted to use the app to not have to talk to the person in the store However, when they asked for my references I gave them the information on the app then they kept saying it couldn’t be verified but they never called my references because we were all together and our phones never went off So I went inside and it still took forever and the price on the website was not the price I had to pay I paid almost $100 just to rent the truck for less than 2 hours I’m so over it today and I will never use U-Haul again

He was the only thing that went right with the whole ordeal. U-Haul will not be in my future lol not like they care. But Budget or Penske can take my money. U-Haul has changed. They need more people like at this location, and less like A Kut Above and less like the Traffic Dept
