Check-in was pleasant. However, initially the truck had only an 1/8 of a tank of fuel. They did add fuel to a 1/4 of tank but I had to wait.

I rented an auto transport trailer. Everything went smooth with the pickup at about noon but once it got dark I realized the tail lights did not work. I was over an hour from my destination so I had to stop and purchase magnetic lights for the back of the trailer that cost me $77. When I made it home to return the U-Haul the dealer was closed so I attempted to use the o line 24 hour drop off service. It would not let me upload the photo to complete the transaction and cost me extra time to contact customer service. I hope I don't have to use U-Haul ever again.

No drop box for the keys..... there was a sign to slide the keys under the door which took several minutes & then was called asking where the key was. They were very accomadating to call me back informing me all the equipment was checked in and the key was located.

The truck I rented had the check engine light on . I informed the agent about it before leaving with the truck. Was scared all through my journey hoping that I don't get stranded.

Pick up at 9am, no one there. Another employee working there, but not for UHaul helped us with inadequate computer. 9:30 finally on the road. Had an additional $10 added to bill that was unexplained because checking out and in could not be completed while I was there.

This location was unable to pull up any information by computer and I had to speak directly to Uhaul by phone. At least they were nice, but unprepared to do business properly. The lady never left her chair.

I tried to drop off at a Birmingham location and they told me there would be a charge for that so I decided to go ahead and take it to Anniston to drop it off. There was one lady running the furniture store and I had to lift the 6X12 trailer off the hitch myself and having 3 herniated discs in my back was not a good thing. The fact that I have rented with U-Haul many times in the past and was denied the chance to drop the trailer off .9 miles from my home in Birmingham was so upsetting. The people at this location made it a point to tell me, many times, that "furniture sales is their first priority." If fact, during our rental transaction, the lady left us to go help the one customer that came in the furniture store, then proceeded to tell us AGAIN that her manager says her priority is the furniture store, that U-haul is just a side thing. We made a mistake and declined insurance initially but before moving the truck, we went back in to have the insurance added, which she didn't know how to do. She called "traffic" and I left my husband there and went to the location where I felt more comfortable with the knowledge of the employees for help. Eventually the first transaction was voided by traffic and a new one was done with insurance. My debit card is showing both transactions pending so I'm hoping to see the initial one fall off. This location should not be dealing in U-hauls with the secondary attitude. I am a paying customer as well.

The location wasn't bad but unfortunately they had to deal with the U-haul web site. I had checked in on line but still took nearly 30 minutes to pick up my truck due to the horrible web site continually stalling. The employee had to call the customer service person and had me talk to them in order to re-verify my information. I will never use U-haul again due to the horrible web site experience.
