While renting the uhaul we had trouble with the truck so uhaul made us park until roadside came which was hours later in the middle of the night. Had to rent it another day, that day we had a snow storm so had to rent yet another day. Then the uhaul wouldn't start and they charged another day even though roadside had to tow the truck away. Very poor customer service during our move and everyone pointed fingers at the other about who's responsible for comping us for the extra couple of days we had to pay. Will never use uhaul again, ever!Devin S.

The location I rented from was fantastic they went out of their way to make things right. UHAUL on the other hand was terrible. Booked online in one town reservation for moved to another. Got to that town they didn't have the equipment I reserved. Sent back to my original location I wanted and only had a 15 ft truck. I figured would just make extra trips. Didn't even get parked and the check engine light came on. Talked with a district supervisor. He assured me it was nothing to worry about. That being said Huffman's did a FANTASTIC JOB handling our issues. Definitely am glad this will be the last move for us as I would most definitely look at other options besides UHAUL. You should not be able to book something if it won't be available terrible business practice. Once again THANK YOU to Huffman's for making things get back on trackKeith H.

I was dropping my trailer off in Decatur Alabama and they told me I would get charged $120.00 for a wrong destination fee. I had to go another 20 minutes away and take it to Madison. I don't know where the lady that i rented it from came up with madison, but it was very frustrated and put us an hour behind schedule for a 10 hour drive home.Linda M.

I had to wait while they had computer issues. also, no one called to let me know that I had a trailer it was unconfirmed until I called to find out if they really had one. otherwise, I could have gotten there in the morning, and there not be a trailer there for me? makes it hard to make plans.Philip M.

I made a reservation for a 15 ft truck then got a call from Des Moines to â€œhear about my optionsâ€. No fault of Huffmans, I ended up agreeing to a smaller truck and trailer, thinking the trailer was covered. I needed the space! I got an open trailer instead!! Forecast 100% rain, so I had to buy a tarp, tie-downs, rope...what a mess. On top of that, even selling a set of tables to make room to a passer-by, still didn't get all of my belongings out. One more expensive trip I will have to make AFTER I recover from the hand surgery I am scheduled for this Friday. Everything was supposed to be taken care of this last weekend. Can't even say how much this is stressing me out and how disappointed I am.Sherry D.

I'm so disappointed with all the charges for everything! Then you want to charge a 20$ fee for verification of drop off if it's returned while business is closed! Ridiculous! Charged for a dolly! Ridiculous! .79 per mile, too high. If I need a truck in the future, it more than likely will not be uhaul!karen D.

The vehicle I rented was missing the fan control knob which prohibited me from adjusting the fan speed. The interior floor of the vehicle (driver and passenger side) was dirty.Josh L.

Your check-in procedure is the most old fashioned and long. I could buy a home and rent a car in less time. Get with the time and age. Dealer employees excellent but the hoops you make them jump through for a $32 6X12 rental is ridiculousGary S.
For a $30 transaction the paperwork and process was way overdone. I have bought a car in less time. You need to take a look at this process at the corporate level. Returning was just as laborous. 5 minutes just getting drivers license/credit card photo copied into your system. Corporate....get your act together.Gary S.

You need another way to arrange rentals, doing it online is not efficient especially when you are overbooked and don't have enough trucks to cover them. No one called us until the day before our rental and we had family coming from out of state to help us move, we almost didn't find a truck in time to accommodate everyone. The customer service people at 1800 uhaul gave me some bad information. The woman , Gina,I talked to at the iowa service center was rude, demanding, and condescending. Very poor customer service! The truck I used only got 5.9 mpg. Not gas saving! $1000 in gas!david F.

Need a hoist (even a manual one) on the trailer to lift up the car on it. When you need a car trailer, it is generally because your car is broken down.. so....frederic S.
I rented a car hauler.. Loading and unloading the vehicle was the easiest of any trailer i have ever used...But towing it (loaded or unloaded) down the road it felt like I was dragging a trailer of lead with no wheels. Overall very satisfied.Richard G.
