The woman working alone the day we came to pick up our truck was completely overworked and was not equipped to manage the amount of clients that arrived that morning. I used the online checkin to help move things along quickly but when I went to find my truck it was taken by someone else minutes before I could walk to the vehicle. One truck had a dead battery and was blocking the other truck that the staff member issued to us. I had requested drop clothes in my online order but this location did not provide them and I was not informed until I got the truck. Upon returning the truck the parking area was blocked by the broken truck and one that had just been returned. The woman working that day could not drive so I had to move the other working vehicle to eventually park mine. These inconveniences add up at the end of a long moving day. Getting our truck took an hour into our day and returning the truck was also more of a headache then needed. If this location can better organize the access to their vehicles I think everyone would be much happier.

I was not provide with the dollies or furniture pads I asked for. I was refunded for the missing equipment but without the dollies loading the truck was difficult and due to the missing furniture pads some of my furniture was damaged in transit and now needs to be replaced.

I booked a 10' truck with a duly .I went to the location the teller was so rude. She said I don't have duly! But if you give me cash I can give you one!!!!I told her I booked this truck with duly and you have to give me one .I didn't have cash on me just 5dollars , I asked her to give me the duly I will promise to give her $2 when I bring back the truck.she refused it and forced me to go to an ATM in the gas station!I paid 2extra dollars to get cash from ATM!!! This location will destroy your reputation.Because before me there was another customer who was very upset .

bad experience not worth the money to rent from them . it comes out cheaper and WAY LESS HASSLE to rent from a real company, the Van was not that clean . charge was not accurate , still trying to get a receipt . and dont bother calling the 800 number no one picks up .

Provide the equipment that the renter has rented. Made a reservation and when I showed up they did not have what I rented. Why did you rent me something you dont have? Very poor customer service, suggested I go to another location to try to get the equipment I reserved at this location. Will never use this location again.

None of the equipment that I reserved was left in the truck. Had to make an extra trip to home Depot and pay more then expected. The self serve process takes long and noone is available to help as they are closed on Sundays.

I booked a dolly and furniture pads along with my cargo van rental. I was not told that these items were not in stock at this location until I came to pick up the cargo van. It would have been helpful to know beforehand, since I ended up having to call multiple other locations to figure out where I could get a dolly, which delayed my trip and resulted in me having to drive a longer distance to get that equipment.

the vehicle was clean but it smelled really bad. Overall, despite all the bad reviews I have read, I have had a pleasant experience. The customer service was nice too.

The van was very dirty, I could not even see out the windows and had to buy windshield washer fluid. Then when I returned it I was charged to have it cleaned.

First, dont change the drop location without informing. I received a new drop location after reaching the drop location. Then the store was closed till 9am which was supposed to open at 8am. Upon calling the support numbers there was no answer from the merchant. Using the mobile app during drop off was a nightmare. I'm an engineer and I have never seen a poor mobile app than Uhaul which requires pictures and location information to process but doesn't ask for permission from the user and google to access the information it needs. I'm an engineer with a good hold on technology and it took me 30 mins to figure all this out. An elderly person would find it very very difficult to navigate your app. My experience was pathetic.

No space for parking personal vehicle and the trucks need to be cleaned out prior to renting it other customers. There were newspapers and boxes left inside of the truck.

Convenient location, but a bit hard to find and difficult to figure out where to park. Location is under renovation, so a bit uninviting in that regard, but may be improved when done. Clerk was helpful.

I booked at one location near my house at 9 am. I get there, they tell me the internet is down and they don't have my reservation anyways. Find out it's been transferred to a different location further away and changed to 9:3. Get to that location just after 9:30 to find out they don't open until 10am. When they finally open, the guy there starts badgering me with questions, and when I show him that the reservation has been changed to his location, says he's never seen an email like that before. Afterwards he asks if I drove there, which I did, then said there is no parking and I will have to find somewhere to park. Overall a terrible experience and I will not use U-Haul again.

As a new customer I was unaware that I was to be at site to return my rental and answer questions after hours. I had already dropped the keys off in the box and went home, when I realized the notification so I went back to get it done limited by not having the actual keys required for certain photo requests. Letting 1st time or always users to know this procedure at time of rental would be a big help. Other than that it was an easy experience and will use/recommend again

It was VERY hard to communicate with a representative when we were having issues with the 24/7 share service online. When I finally did get through to someone they were helpful and responsive up until I asked how to remove the SafeMove charge before accepting the terms. Then suddenly they wouldn't answer and I had to move forward as I was already behind schedule. I would not recommend using the online pickup option.

The online registration after having done that earlier seems repetitive and cumbersome when you just need to get the keys and leave.

It is not signed at all and the parking lot is behind the building. What's more is the parking lot is poorly maintained with trash and rotting food all over the place

Myself and my friend went to pick up the van but the van actually stuck on the ice I tryed to take out from the ice but we couldn't so we call for help the person who took our reservation came out and tryed to help out. Even though he couldn't we had to wait almost two hours to get the van at last we gave up and went back home and tryed another location . I just wanted to let you know that when we go to pick up the van we are not experienced back wheel driver we just normal drivers who drive can for day today life . The shop keepers tried his best to take out the van from the ice we appreciate that . But he was telling like we did something wrong that's why the van got stuck . We also tryed our best on that freezing cold even though I fell doesn walking around the van to help out the staff. If the van is stuck on the ice they should have posted 0 availability .

Take the time to show the person renting the vehicle the proper way to reset the car in person. I ended up paying more than I should have because of that.

They do not provide accessories like furniture dolly or moving blankets even though the online portal reserved suck equipment. The area out back was not well lite and muddy. No place to leave my vehicle while using the truck. Note: the staff receptionist was polite and efficient.

It's not like last time when I rented.last time they have charged me 20 dollar as cleaning charge I don't know why they have changed me. It was my first experience with U hall I thought it's part of billing process later on I came to know that it's not unless and until we really left the vehicle dirty

I wanted to pick up at 9 am via Mobile Pick Up and there was another truck parked on my rental truck, so I had to wait until 10 am, they didnt have the dolly which I wanted to rent and they did not prepare

They have charged me for gas even though I filled it up the way they gave it to me. Parking at the back while dropping off, it was completely dark with no lights. Hard to find the key box.

The owner was very nice but the pick up experience was a bit disorganized. I needed a truck for a 9 am pick up but they didn't open until 10. When they opened up our reservation he could not find the deal that I had booked and charged me a day rate plus mileage. It translated into a very expensive fee as I was driving out of town. Luckily, when we checked in at a UHaul location in Kingston, Rob got everything sorted out. He was able to see our original booking (not sure why the Keele location could not) and change our contract back to the original rate. Rob was amazing and instilled us with confidence in UHaul. It seems like the Keele location could benefit from some training about the website. Overall I would recommend UHaul but it seems like the service level varied depending on your location.

the truck i was supposed to get was not available but no body told me until i was in the shop and the only thing they did was to tell me to call customer service. they could not inform uhaul that the truck will be under maintenance so i could prepare in advance, the reservation was made for 3 pm, the confirmation was that the truck will be ready by 11 am and i try to pick up the truck at 3:30 pm so there is 4 hours and half to inform me that the truck will be not available.

The is only one sign way up on the building to identify it as a uHaul location. There was no one inside when I arrived and used the app to sign out and dropped the key in a locked mailbox/dropbox at the companies front door. I was leaving and a woman from the store comes out to say I cant park there. I said I dropped the keys in your mailbox and If you open it, I will move the truck. She didnt have the key to open it so she told me never mind and I could go. The moral of this story is the location needs proper signage.

No exterior U-Haul signage. Impossible to see location from the street. Drop-off is in a dinky alleyway behind mixed commercial/residential buildings (cannot see from street). Only personnel on site was for a pay-day loans company. Almost no space to drop off vehicle.

The truck sounded horrible. Like it was going to explode while accelerating. You guys should maintain your trucks better. The location was difficult to find. The parking was horrific. Back alley, and reversing between a pickup and another truck with a 20 foot vehicle was extremely difficult and could be difficult for some drivers. Will not use that specific location again. I hope this helps. I also got charged for insurance even when I declined.

Windscreen was cracked, rear left turn signal was not working. I was not informed of the windshield at delivery time. There was a sticker on the glass indicating that this damaged was already noted, so there is absolutely no reason why it could not have been replaced before putting the vehicle back into service. Also turn signals are required by law, each and every light should be checked by the agent when preparing the vehicle for delivery.

Requesting four dollies and receiving none was very inconvenient. After my pickup reservation was confirmed to be too late in the day, I was offered the choice to pickup the night before free of charge which was more convenient.
