WENDE BThe sign on the windows state no smoking in the cab but there was cigarette ashes in thd cup holder, the dash was dirty and the floormats were muddy.
MICHAEL WThey knew I was traveling to Lexington and at no point was told that there was a mileage limit and that if I went over I’d be charged. If I had been told no issue but wasn’t. Now that I went over like 1 mile I owed under 1$ and I left a message on the return app stating I didn’t think that was far and never received a email or communication about that concern. They just charge my card a $1.56 which I’m sure covers their charge for using a Credit Card. From this point on I’ll exhaust all effort to use other Rental companies other than U-Haul in the future
ADAM RThere was no issue either the “final” pick up or drop off. However, what happened before was a pain and needs to be fixed by corporate. My initial contact was with KCS Lazer who cares more about his lazer service than renting uhauls. He could never give me a straight answer about actually getting the correct trailer. The day before pickup he told me he couldn’t get it at his location and said it would be available at a second location. Heartland Liquidation. A cheap second hand shop and U-Haul agent. I get a call from Heartland from an Allison asking if I was picking up the trailer. I said yes and drove to the location. There was NO trailer there. I asked Allison why she called and she couldn’t explain. After 15 minutes of phone calls a trailer was finally located 15 miles away. There has to be a better way to run a business. These “agents” who are not true agents are ruining the U-Haul name.

Michael DEasy drop off procedures and friendly staff.
Jacob CGot there and equipment had a flat tire. They changed the tire. Drove 450miles and the had to have tire replaced 15 miles from my destination. Had to wait over an hr for the service. Which added more time wasted to my day. They got the trailer supposedly connected to my truck but when I got home 10 miles or so from location and started to put my car on trailer it lifted completely off the hitch. I had to reconnect trailer properly.
Barney BOnline check in and checkout was chaotic. I had my appointment changed twice, by uhaul. I did an online check it, and spent over 45 mins attempting to get a working link with help chat- I talked to three different people that gave me three different directions. I finally get the key and drive off, (11:15 am). Around 5pm the next day, my mother and my ex husband called saying uhaul was looking for me. Come to find out, my contract never activated and I was driving with 100 percent liability. Uhaul decided to make a far reach on an old account and call whoever they could to "get a hold of me". This includes calling my ex husband which stirred a whole pot of personal shit that added to my stress --all because Uhaul messed up. Uhaul waited until the END Of BUsiness day the next day to attempt any outreach.. They also told me "they have been trying to call me all day", which 1. Is bullshit 2. They called me, and one hour later I called all my missed called and answered my text because. Because for that hour I was BUSY moving stuff( ya know, the whole reason I rented a truck) I was told uhaul couldn't find my number and used my old account. So riddle me this, how was uhaul able to call me TWICE the day before to let me know they didn't have my size truck and will upgrade me with no charge? The rep made sure to tell me I have a comprehension issue on. Which is a gem of a joke as he attempted to double charge me due to his inability to pay attention to detail and I get the ol' "oh I double charged you". It's very bold to talk to customers as if you have it all together and still prove my point of the continual screw up with me receiving the apology. I wasted significant amount of time on the phone with support over two days, only to still have my billing overcharged and incorrect and making sure to make me feel like I'm a criminal. Thank goodness Lowes and other competitors have started moving truck rents. Uhaul was old school true, once upon a time, but now it's a corporate nickel and dime scam. I did everything I was supposed to as an end user of the app and customer. Instead, every step along the way, the app and customer service let me down, insulted me, wasted my time, and stole my money. Also, the right equipment wasn't available. I ordered and paid for a dolly- tere was no dolly the day of pickup. That was on a Sunday and the third party business was closed- add that to the inconvenience and hassle. I also was charged a random additional $65 from the drop off location with NO information on what that was regarding. I dropped the truck off , cleaned, and gas back to how I received it AND I had to physically go into the building and speak to the front desk because the app, of course, was glitching and could not check out. The owner of this shop even told me that uhaul was dealing with parts of apps outage the last couple days. I asked if I needed to take pictures or sign anything, and this drop of location told me "no it's all good". Of course I didn't trust that, so I took pictures of everything and have it saved, in the event uhaul pulled some more off the wall shit- and of course, uhaul showed up with their ass all out, yet again.
April MI was very pleased how they were friendly and helpful very knowledgeable and it didn’t take but maybe 5 minutes and I was out the door and in my Uhaul
