The lady who checked us in was friendly. The disappointment and frustration came when we were told there was only a half tank of gas. VERY frustrating that we had to fill up before we could even get on the road. Upon getting to the gas station, there was no gas cap. Had the dealer filled the tank before checking it out, they would have seen there was no gas cap. Oh well. The biggest issue was there was so much dead bug splatter on the windshield, that with the sun glare it was quite dangerous. The back was immaculate. It was nice to have a newer truck. I noticed the floor did not get nearly as hot as the older trucks. I've rented from U-Haul many times and will continue to for ease, but having a full tank and clean windshield would be helpful.

Overall, the experience was not too bad. We got from point A to point B just fine. Even though we had to go an extra 50 miles to get the truck, the people have been very couteous to deal with.

I said my starting location was North Platte and it gave me option to pick up in Ogallala and drop off in Ogallala and only set up one way trip. Should not give option if it’s not going to give you correct mileage for trip for round trip. Horrible experience.

Donald SLocation was fine, did a good job. The uhaul reservation system itself overall is terrible. We made the reservation almost 2 weeks in advance only to be told they didn’t even have equipment at the location for us just 4 days before pickup. We were moving and would have been sol if equipment couldn’t make it. Shouldn’t allow people to make reservations at locations for equipment they don’t even have.

MELISSA WFirst, it was VERY difficult to find. I live in the area & tried to follow the address. Ended up traveling 15 minutes only to see another U-Haul place that I went in to ask. Secondly, I stood chatting with the owner & she never once said a word about my rental. Was there a receipt? Did I need to sign anything? Was she going to look at the truck? I finally asked & she said nope, your done. Well, apparently I went over a few miles so I found a charge of $13+ on my card. It would have been nice to have a few extra miles in consideration of where I was traveling to. Middle of nowhere Nebraska. My original starting point was 10 miles from the only U-Haul & my home is in Lewellen but the only drop off is in Ogallala. The miles given must have been down to nearly exact. Anyway, I would have liked to know that ahead of time. What if I didn't have the funds?? This U-Haul drop off is very hard to find.
ADRIAN NThe running lights on the truck were not working because the previous driver turn the switch off. The owner of J. Dawg embroidery shop was very efficient, courteous and knowledgeable. She provided excellent service I appreciate her professionalism.

Jimmie KWe were NOT told about the extra charges, we were NOT told about the $100 deposit. It took over 20 minutes for her to fill out the information. The sign said 19.95 and she told us 29.95
