I use this location when ever possible

Al hDon’t charge the customer two different prices. When I talked with someone in customer service she told me my final payment would be 140.03 then I get a notification that I’m being charged 185. Why an extra 45 dollars? I would not use U-Haul again. It’s unacceptable and inconvenient. I originally booked a van at a different location. I go to pick they tell me it had to be returned by 9 am the next day. I’m like that’s not you going to work by my event being at 3. So come to find out the double booked a van. I’m like this so inconvenient and I had to call around to see if I could find another van.

Ernest FCalled the return center and learned that the vehicle could be turned in after topping off fuel and sweeping out the cab and cargo area. Using the drop slot on the office door to deposit the keys after hours facilitated travel plans to get to the airport on time.

Robert BLady at desk was very kind Truck had sand and small debris in cab but just assumed for an eastern shore rental truck that was normal. Ended up getting charged a cleaning fee in AR because of all the debris that was not cleaned prior to pick-up. Could only provide us with 12 moving blankets even though we requested 24. We made it work. Truck was great. Perfect for our needs. Wish the truck would have a camera on the back for hooking up the trailer, hard to manage if alone. Appreciated the plugs for GPS, phone. LED headlights would be a nice feature for brighter night time driving.

Bob MThe Bennett foods are friendly and knowledgeable. Processing was quick, which was very important to me as I was under a time crunch to get the truck loaded. Truck Windows were down and it was wet inside from the rain. Truck was not clean. Trash and leaves in the back. Trash behind the seats.

MARLIN MEverything was as expected. The van was exactly what we needed for our move. Fortunately we didn’t have a lot of miles to cover, but the inside of the windshield needed a good cleaning.

Jeremy BUhaul was listed as having a full tank of gas - it was not full, slightly under. Uhaul was FILTHY. Cigarette ashes everywhere and smelt of cigarette smoke terribly. Spilt coffee or soda on passenger side. Inside had be cleaned by us before packing and leaving on our trip. Back of uhaul needed swept before we could load it. Equipment was outdated and made for a VERY uncomfortable ride / trip. Our destination changed last minute making the trip MUCH shorter mileage wise. Customer support was contacted re: the complaints and trip change, nothing was done, no discount, credit or refund offered. We will be looking at other options for our return and any future trips.
Jen SHow am I quoted at roughly $50 and and pay $125? I drove less than ten miles and charged for 50 miles. Cleaning fee? I selected an insurance plan and was charged for the max? What’s going on here? I won’t use this location again. Thank you
Matthew KTruck mileage was high - 125,000 miles and the truck shows the wear and tear and the wheel alignment was off. All of the customer service folks were excellent.
Thomas Gdrop off was great however they tried to charge me for dolly's which I indicated when I picked up that I wasn't getting so had I not brought this to the attention of usuals main office I would of been charge more money
RYAN ROk so I rented a 15ft box an a car trailer not only did the car trailer brakes get stuck on but the truck also had a battery issue or alternator fry leading to me haveing to have road side come out for both items then roadside had an attitude because I was aggravated that the truck was not starting. I have used uhaul solid at least 3 times a year almost every year for like 10yrs this was by far the worst experience I had but I hope they fix these issues I will return

Theodore pI had a bad experience, but don’t blame the Uhaul location above where I finally got a trailer.. Here’s my experience. I made a reservation for a 4x8 trailer at another local dealer in Dagsboro, DE. When I got there at 11:30 no one was in the office. I called the phone number on the door. No one answered. I got a message telling me to leave a message, but after the beep, another message said the mailbox was full. I then called UHaul. They directed me to another dealer 30 minutes away who had a 5x8 trailer. When I got there they were open and had the 5x8 trailer, but it was buried in snow and ice! We had 10” of snow last week. They had plowed their parking lot, but piled snow in front of the only 5x8 trailer they had. There was one older lady working there. She was very nice but said she was not able to shovel the snow. She said if I wanted the trailer I would have to dig it out myself. She gave me a shovel like you use to dig a hole. I went to work. The tang was complete buried. A half hour later I had it dug out. She then brought me a push broom. There was 5-6” of snow on the roof that I had to brush off myself before I could go out on the road. I then hooked the trailer up myself. Again, she was very nice, but said they were not expecting my last minute reservation. Guys…you can do much better than this. If you have a “Wall of shame” at the corporate headquarters, print out my comment and post it there. To answer your “What can we do to improve for the next customer?” question, my answer is: Everything. Again, my Poor rating is not against the location above. The root cause of this ordeal today was the location where I first made a reservation that was closed when I arrived. The alternative second location had no notice I was coming and could not help it that the trailer was buried in snow and ice. Despite what happened today, I will rent from UHaul in the future.
