MARLIN MEverything was as expected. The van was exactly what we needed for our move. Fortunately we didn’t have a lot of miles to cover, but the inside of the windshield needed a good cleaning.

Jeremy BUhaul was listed as having a full tank of gas - it was not full, slightly under. Uhaul was FILTHY. Cigarette ashes everywhere and smelt of cigarette smoke terribly. Spilt coffee or soda on passenger side. Inside had be cleaned by us before packing and leaving on our trip. Back of uhaul needed swept before we could load it. Equipment was outdated and made for a VERY uncomfortable ride / trip. Our destination changed last minute making the trip MUCH shorter mileage wise. Customer support was contacted re: the complaints and trip change, nothing was done, no discount, credit or refund offered. We will be looking at other options for our return and any future trips.
Jen SHow am I quoted at roughly $50 and and pay $125? I drove less than ten miles and charged for 50 miles. Cleaning fee? I selected an insurance plan and was charged for the max? What’s going on here? I won’t use this location again. Thank you
Matthew KTruck mileage was high - 125,000 miles and the truck shows the wear and tear and the wheel alignment was off. All of the customer service folks were excellent.
Thomas Gdrop off was great however they tried to charge me for dolly's which I indicated when I picked up that I wasn't getting so had I not brought this to the attention of usuals main office I would of been charge more money
RYAN ROk so I rented a 15ft box an a car trailer not only did the car trailer brakes get stuck on but the truck also had a battery issue or alternator fry leading to me haveing to have road side come out for both items then roadside had an attitude because I was aggravated that the truck was not starting. I have used uhaul solid at least 3 times a year almost every year for like 10yrs this was by far the worst experience I had but I hope they fix these issues I will return

Theodore pI had a bad experience, but don’t blame the Uhaul location above where I finally got a trailer.. Here’s my experience. I made a reservation for a 4x8 trailer at another local dealer in Dagsboro, DE. When I got there at 11:30 no one was in the office. I called the phone number on the door. No one answered. I got a message telling me to leave a message, but after the beep, another message said the mailbox was full. I then called UHaul. They directed me to another dealer 30 minutes away who had a 5x8 trailer. When I got there they were open and had the 5x8 trailer, but it was buried in snow and ice! We had 10” of snow last week. They had plowed their parking lot, but piled snow in front of the only 5x8 trailer they had. There was one older lady working there. She was very nice but said she was not able to shovel the snow. She said if I wanted the trailer I would have to dig it out myself. She gave me a shovel like you use to dig a hole. I went to work. The tang was complete buried. A half hour later I had it dug out. She then brought me a push broom. There was 5-6” of snow on the roof that I had to brush off myself before I could go out on the road. I then hooked the trailer up myself. Again, she was very nice, but said they were not expecting my last minute reservation. Guys…you can do much better than this. If you have a “Wall of shame” at the corporate headquarters, print out my comment and post it there. To answer your “What can we do to improve for the next customer?” question, my answer is: Everything. Again, my Poor rating is not against the location above. The root cause of this ordeal today was the location where I first made a reservation that was closed when I arrived. The alternative second location had no notice I was coming and could not help it that the trailer was buried in snow and ice. Despite what happened today, I will rent from UHaul in the future. Brian PLet me know where to put the key before I get started with the return. The app told me to put the key in the slot so I did then after uploading photos it told me to put in the lock box #1 but I had already put it in a side door slot. That was not very clear

Charles YThe truck was left with almost no gas, I had to stop and get fuel before I even got to load anything onto the truck, when I called in, they said they would update it because it was reported the truck had 1/4 gas, it did not, the needle was almost at the E. I took a picture of it, I still have it. When I got there to pick up the truck, I couldn't even locate where the lock boxes were for about 8 minutes, then finally my son saw them on the telephone pole by the road...... The app said my key was in Lock Box 3, and Lock Box 3 was the only box that wasn't open, #1 and #2 had already been opened by other people. However, the 4 letters the app said, which was MOAT, did not work. I kept trying and trying for about 15 minutes, and just as I was ready to call uHaul, a guy comes out of the business (that had the closed sign in the window, and lights off), tells me that the key isn't in Lock Box 3, it's in a different log, located on the back of the truck. Apparently he locked the key in the back of the truck. But the app still said Lock Box 3. So I wasted time trying to locate the lock boxes, then wasted even more time trying to open a lock box that didn't contain the key, then we tried the MOAT on that lock, and even he couldn't get that lock open. He had to go get a tool to open the lock. The truck was NOT clean. There were water bottles and soda bottles in the cabin, hidden under the seat and in between the seats, and the back of that truck was so dirty, so much dirt and debris, I had to sweep it out. Everytime I would stop at a red light or stop sign, the OIL gauge would drop all the way down, then when accelerating again, it would go off, but continue to flash. Damn thing probably needs some oil. This was the third uHaul truck I rented this year, and all three times there were issues with the app. First time in July of 2024, Android wasn't working that particular day on the uHaul network is what I was told when I called in, that I had to use an iphone.......so like what do you do if you don't have an iphone then? I had to drive back home to retrieve my work phone which just so happen to be Apple. Then drive back and I was able to complete my truck pickup, but it was almost over an hour later. Second time when I got a truck for my son, the app kept saying the truck was not available at the pickup spot we chose, but when we called the store, they assured us it was there. It was there, but then the owner of that gas station had trouble with the uHaul app and couldn't complete the booking, it took him almost 30 minutes on the phone with uHaul to make it work. I love the lower rental prices that uHaul offers, but I really despise the app.
DONALD VWhen the location that is closer does not have the equipment on hand that you offer, you should make every effort to get to it to them. I had to drive 20 miles away to get the trailer I needed & then return it there, when the storage facility I was using is also a u haul agent but didn’t have it available. & I could not leave it there. I used up over 1/2 a day & 40 miles when I could have been done in an hour & driven less than 10 miles. The agents at both locations were very pleasant & helpful.

Chris CAgain, for U-Haul in general, if a reservation is made at a specific location don't switch it to another location that is several towns away the day before drop off. The drop-off location was about 20 miles away.

Patricia WUnfortunately they were closed when I dropped off the truck but there was plenty of parking for the truck. Only note I would give is they should put a sign up showing where the keys are to be dropped. All there was was a mail slot.

First u haul expierence for renting equipment. Overall Latrobe location was very pleasant and knowledgeable to deal with while Delaware location was very sub par

Timothy IUsed the 24/7 App option and was able to pick up my rental before 6:30AM. This was a major win as I was able to get a jump on my day and accomplish more than I had planned too.
Frank DMy Uhaul experience with the vendor side has always been great. My problem is with the online side of Uhaul. The online side is constantly changing the pickup side of things, most likely using it's AI routing and not considering how that affects me. This last rental I had to go to my original rental location to pickup furniture pads, then drive further away to pickup the 26' truck. The location of the truck not only extended the miles I drove the truck, but also had me returning the truck to a location on a two way traffic road that is bumper to bumper traffic that moves about 5 mph coming from a Beach Resort on a Sunday afternoon! The only thing that has me looking for other options for my rental needs is the Uhaul online part!!!

Robert WThere was no guidance at all from the location or from UHaul about where the keys were located. Three cars were lined up in the parking lot trying to figure it out. Ultimately, we learned that we needed a code to open the back of the truck to find the keys! Would have been great to know that ahead of time. VERY POOR INSTRUCTIONS. Also, since the location was closed, there was no easy way to verify my identity using my phone. I don't generally carry two forms of ID and NO ONE MENTIONED THAT WHEN I CONFIRMED THE RESERVATION THE DAY BEFORE. WTF people. Also, the van was filthy and the gas guage indicated 5/8ths tank, NOT 3/4ths. I was charged for 2 additional gallons of gas! Really?!?
