Better Customer Service at J & J food mart. The cashier had a horrible attitude and I don't have to deal with that when I can use another company. They make the U-haul customers wait while continuing to allow customer for their store to go first per the owners request. I have not had any problems with U-haul but after moving all day and night and this happening will make me use another company. My truck wasn't cleaned. They don't make sure they are cleaned just check the mileage and gas. Hopefully service isn't needed because I will be going somewhere elseDaphne D.

The truck was dirty, with less that half a tank of gas. I ordered a dolly, which was not in it. I was directed to another Uhaul office to get one. When I received my final bill, I had been charged for furniture pads that I did not order or receive. When I disputed the $20 charge for that, I was told an adjustment would be made, but then the $20 plus $3 (for something unknown as of yet) were charged to my card! I am preparing to call the service number. The last 2 times I've tried, the wait was 59 minutes. Don't ask to be put in line for a call back, because I've done that, and the call back never came. Overall, not much more could have been wrong with this experience.Camille L.

I never got my appliance dolly, I paid an extra $20 for the appliance dolly and they only had furniture dollies. This is the 2nd time at this location that they do not have my additional equipment so I don't know why offer it if you can not provide it.Lizbeth V.

The employees were great, but process took longer than expected. Truck clean but poor running condition. Did not feel comfortable that lights were working even minimally and engine needed an overhaul. But I repeat, employees were great.Alex C.

Truck had problems with driver's side door. It wouldn't close properly, so there was a constant noise seeping in. If I would have been going long distance, I would have turned it back in for another.Elnoria H.
I really can't rate this place because I only dropped it off and was upset with the run around that I received from uhaul because they did not give me a drop off location. I found out later to bring it to this place Since it was a one way drop off, I left the key with my grandson because I live in Durham. He had to drive to this location and walk back to the previous location so I don't think he paid much attention to the appearance.VANESSA P.

Terrible experience start to finish: J&J is a convenience store, J&J did not have the equipment I reserved, the attendant could not tell me if the truck had been sanitized b/c "she did not check it in", covid or no covid the truck was filthy and gross, I had to sanitize the truck myself, the AC worked 40% of the time (87 degree day), drivers side windshield wiper was worn out...etchardt B.

Make sure the trucks are clean and swept out before renting to customers. There was literally dirt, trash, parts to a bed and what appeared to be a used adult diaper. Absolutely disgusting! Although the lady inside was extremely apologetic and sweet, it should have NEVER happened.Kimberly P.

I reserved a truck and dolly on line and when I went to pick up the truck they didn't have a dolly which I really needed. I called uhaul to speak with someone directly to reserve a dolly elsewhere. They were very helpful in reserving just the dolly. When I got to the location they said they didn't rent out just dollies without a truck. Then they said there is a $60 deposit for a $7 dolly. Then they couldn't find my reservation. Finally they found the reservation and allowed me to rent the dolly without the deposit. So at the end it turned good it was just a lot of wasted valuable time getting there.Jennifer T.

Allowed me to reserve before location opened using mobile app. Then mobile pickup was not available. Another location gave me a filthy truck (not the van I reserved) that smelled like weed. Then I was charged .69 per mile not .39 as original contract stated.Rob I.

As usual the equipment reserved online was not available when I arrived to pick it up. When I arrived at the location I was told that they do not carry appliance dollies at that location and I would have to go to another location to get one. I called the other location and was told that there was one there so I drove to that location only to find out that they never had one to give me. There is no committment to fulfilling the customers reservation no matter where you rent from. You always have to get a different size truck than what you want or you can't get a dolly or some other thing that you have reserved.John R.

The truck was rather dated and difficult to drive. The floor mats were muddy and there was a discernible odor of cigarette smoke. However and overall, it was an above-average experience and the store personnel was very helpful and friendlyUCHENNA V.

The employees of J & J Food Mart were very helpful and friendly. The mobile app is not user friendly and very frustrating for pick up so I didnt even attempt to try it for return. The app is ok for reservations but that's it.ROBYN K.

Truck had a gas mileage of about 1.5mpg. I drove six miles (including to the gas station) and put in 4 gallons to return it as full as I had gotten it. Drove with a very light load, and, no, I didnÂ´t have the hand brake on... Scandalous!Ulrich E.
