I booked a 26' truck. When I arrived at 830am found out the truck wasn't returned. I took the day off work to move so I was forced to use a 10' truck and take multiple trips, and was harder because of no ramp on the truck. It was a guaranteed rental booking ahead of time so this is in expectable and I was offered nothing for my inconvenience except a sorry. I'm not satisfied with the your service and will not recommend or use your company in the future. Using a smaller truck and multiple trips wasted more time trying to move.Kevin H.

Appliance dolly requested but not provided, still charged for it. When rental was returned, clerk would not issue final receipt. Promised to email receipt. Had to phone twice before receiving my final receipt via email. J&P Variety is a cramped location for Uhaul. Situated on a busy 4 lane road without a turning lane. Hard to get into and out without planning. This was not my first choice for a pickup/dropoff location in our community. My first choice was overruled by a phone call from headquarters. Not my first Uhaul rental. Past experiences were much better.George S.

Clerk wasn't wearing mask when I entered. When I questioned he stated he just hot there vs apologizing. We weren't allowed to leave our car there so had to take it somewhere else which added mileage. The gas was at an unusual level to determine refill so we returned it over. Oil change needed light was on. Floor of truck bed was not clean and we were putting a mattress in it. Upon return the main clerk was more interested in selling a bong to a customer than helping us. The clerk we had was uncertain of the process and the other clerk came to finish eventually.Glynis-Marie D.

Location service was great. But, trying to actually rent through U-haul was a nightmare. First attempt to rent was a failure, at the last minute they changed my rental to a vehicle that would not work for my needs. Second attempt, the vehicle was reserved so .. just to be safe, I called the pick up location before heading out, my vehicle was not available. Rescheduled with pick up location. (Bypassed uhaul and it worked out great). Wasted over 3 hours on the phone with uhaul. (Even got transferred to their New Mexico division). Not a good experience.JOSEPHDENIS M.

Over all happy with u haul again. I would however have the truck we used checked out. Transmission seemed to be slipping and wasn't shifting properly all the time. I could idle truck down to help it shift but you may not always have someone rent it that would know to do thatROBERTJAMES K.

If you are booking a truck from this location be prepared to leave your own car at home or have somebody drop you off. They will not allow you yo park your vehicle at their premises stating the reason that its not safe to park. Make it safe, for a better business, why put customers in trouble?SHERWIN P.
My fiance and I were disappointed with our service. We made a reservation about a month prior to pickup a 20 foot truck in Cambridge for our moving day, which is where we were living at the time. The day before moving day, we get notified that our truck was not available anywhere in Cambridge and the nearest one was located in Woodstock, which is where we were moving to actually. We said that we needed to pickup in Cambridge, but there was nothing else near us available, so we had no choice but to drive all the way out to Woodstock first, just to pickup the truck, drive it back to Cambridge, then drive back to Woodstock. Also while we were on our way that morning to Woodstock to get the truck, we get another call informing us that the 20 foot truck we requested was not gonna be ready, and all they had was only a 15 foot truck! So now we're stuck with a smaller truck that didn't hold all our large items sadly. But we knew that if we were to take a second trip to move more stuff, we'd easily be charged another $100 for mileage. So we ended up having a family member help us move the rest of our large items with his pickup truck. Our moving experience could of been better.KAREN R.

Passenger side wiper was broke. A used water bottle left in truck. So obviously not cleaned. Windshield tape was on and windshield rattled while driving. I clearly told the store I did not want insurance and they tried charging me for it. The store owner argued with me about this. Very poor customer service.Shari B.

I reserved a U-Haul at Westmount in Woodstock and when I want to pick it up it was not there. I had to travel around Woodstock find to find a truck. JP variety did not have what I needed. I had to rent a pickup truck and make more tripsDANIELKENNETH D W.

Cabs need to be disinfected before rentals, I felt like I needed to shower in sanitizer after climbing in, steering wheel, door handle, interior door pull were all sticky. There was no trash or anything in the cab, but nothing had been CLEANED in quite a while, not acceptable during a pandemic. Also, the furniture blankets that I reserved were no available to me as the dealer had zero on hand.ALANS C.

The counter employess did not wear MASKS!!!- which I have reported to the police and upon my return of the vehicle a female- employee - who told me to "GO PARK THE TRUCK ( no please , no could your very demanding" in another space AND " Was SITTING on the check in counter!! and had 2 female friends - UNMASKED- socializing in very close proximity to each other on chairs behind the counter - a male counter person- intervened finally( he had checked me in upon pickup of the vehicle)_ I have overfilled the truck with gas asked for a credit - they told me " Not our problem- Contact UHaul!! I have contacted the local authorities- I have rented from your firm many times- but never AGAIN! - The POLICE department will be visiting the site and the Local Government Health Department- to invoke the "COVID-19" Fining and CLOSURE of their firm. I would like a telephone call to my cell- The retailer is TJ Variety- 232 Norwich Ave. Woodstock ON Canada- I require a call- you should have all information and how I get the credit owed to me. I am absolutely disappointed in my experience with Uhaul. This experience with your company took an already difficult situation and made it worse. The incompetence and poor customer service relations at both the Stratford and Woodstock locations were unacceptable, and the scheduling of a vehicle was outrageous. I am not being compensated enough for my unsatisfaction with this whole experience. It disgusts me, and I would not recommend using Uhaul at all.PAULR N.

My problem isn't so much this specific location it's the fact I had rented a truck for yesterday (Saturday) and even called and confirmed it Thursday and everything was all set. Then Friday afternoon I get a phone call stating there is no truck available for me and if I can travel to Ingersoll to pick up a truck Saturday morning. I said yes that is fine it was all confirmed AGAIN then in the next half hour I get another call from Ingersoll saying that they don't have a truck available for Saturday. So I call U-Haul again and ask if there is anything available, there was one we could use that day (Friday) from 630-1030 (it was already after 5 at this point) needless to say it was a horrible experience and I know my family and friends wouldn't recommend at all either.AMBERMARIE E.
