I reserved a U-Haul at Westmount in Woodstock and when I want to pick it up it was not there. I had to travel around Woodstock find to find a truck. JP variety did not have what I needed. I had to rent a pickup truck and make more trips

Cabs need to be disinfected before rentals, I felt like I needed to shower in sanitizer after climbing in, steering wheel, door handle, interior door pull were all sticky. There was no trash or anything in the cab, but nothing had been CLEANED in quite a while, not acceptable during a pandemic. Also, the furniture blankets that I reserved were no available to me as the dealer had zero on hand.

I have a conflict with what was charged on my bill and sent an email in and yet to see any response. I was not given a bill when I returned the U-Haul. I received a bill by email only and there's a conflict

The counter employess did not wear MASKS!!!- which I have reported to the police and upon my return of the vehicle a female- employee - who told me to "GO PARK THE TRUCK ( no please , no could your very demanding" in another space AND " Was SITTING on the check in counter!! and had 2 female friends - UNMASKED- socializing in very close proximity to each other on chairs behind the counter - a male counter person- intervened finally( he had checked me in upon pickup of the vehicle)_ I have overfilled the truck with gas asked for a credit - they told me " Not our problem- Contact UHaul!! I have contacted the local authorities- I have rented from your firm many times- but never AGAIN! - The POLICE department will be visiting the site and the Local Government Health Department- to invoke the "COVID-19" Fining and CLOSURE of their firm. I would like a telephone call to my cell- The retailer is TJ Variety- 232 Norwich Ave. Woodstock ON Canada- I require a call- you should have all information and how I get the credit owed to me. I am absolutely disappointed in my experience with Uhaul. This experience with your company took an already difficult situation and made it worse. The incompetence and poor customer service relations at both the Stratford and Woodstock locations were unacceptable, and the scheduling of a vehicle was outrageous. I am not being compensated enough for my unsatisfaction with this whole experience. It disgusts me, and I would not recommend using Uhaul at all.

My problem isn't so much this specific location it's the fact I had rented a truck for yesterday (Saturday) and even called and confirmed it Thursday and everything was all set. Then Friday afternoon I get a phone call stating there is no truck available for me and if I can travel to Ingersoll to pick up a truck Saturday morning. I said yes that is fine it was all confirmed AGAIN then in the next half hour I get another call from Ingersoll saying that they don't have a truck available for Saturday. So I call U-Haul again and ask if there is anything available, there was one we could use that day (Friday) from 630-1030 (it was already after 5 at this point) needless to say it was a horrible experience and I know my family and friends wouldn't recommend at all either.

with covid-19 I think the inside of the vehicles should be cleaned thoroughly. It was dusty and dirty inside which told me it was not cleaned before we took it out. It made me nervous thinking that the person before us could have left virus behind. Other then that, service was impeccable.

I booked the uhual for a 24 hour period. When i arrived to pick up rental, i was told i could only have it for 8 hours. The agent almost didnt want to give me the rental. Why would i get booked for 8 hours when i booked it for 24 hours??? Extremely frustrating. Andrew Brzezicki 519-212-4383

pick up time should be adjustable at the location not with Uhual representative as this it's a very time consuming waiting on the phone to talk to representative .over all its a very good experience . estimated cost and actual cost should be done at location as this cause customer to be wondering how much their bill will be .

The Woodstock outlet was fine and not at fault. The U-Haul web site however is extremely misleading. We booked a van for pick up and drop off from the Ingersoll location. Everything on the web site indicated that van was available for the date and at a time we could make work from the Ingersoll depot. However, the booking site did not warn or indicate that a van would never be available to rent from Ingersoll ever. We learned that they do not have a van 24 hrs + after we'd booked and arrangements were made with the seniors residence and others to facilitate moving furniture into a seniors residence. During COVID-19 you must be aware how difficult that is to organize for the restrictions seniors homes need to take. The result is we had to pay additional mileage 30 km to and from Woodstock for a move that was totally within Ingersoll move but did not need the large 20 or 22 foot truck available in Ingersoll. They didn't even have a pick up truck which would have also been sufficient. The total mileage would have at best amounted to 7 km total from Ingersoll depot, doing the move and return and not 37 km which we were billed for. I will be much more cautious and not overly keen to use or recommend U-Haul in future. Again none of this was the fault of the Woodstock outlet who were courteous and as helpful as they could be. The van was in good condition and the move was completed. One other item. The rental equipment should have full gas tanks. Having to guess and top up the tank to what it was at the start of the rental after our brief drive is crazy. Topping up to full is much easier to do.

The A/C in truck did not work and the gas gauge on the truck was less than on the paperwork and I was charged for returning the truck with actually more gas in the truck than what it had when I used it. If this is how Uhaul is going to treat a customer who has been using this service for our moves, THIS MOVE WITH UHAUL WAS MY LAST.....WILL NEVER USE IHAUL AGAIN SND WILL MOT RECOMMEND TO OTHERS.

They were not really ready for the rental. The pick up truck which I rented to tow a trailer didn't have the lock pin for the hitch receiver to stay on. As a professional truck driver , I circle check everything I drive. For a vechicle with only 10,000 kms on it, it had almost no windshield washer fluid In the tank and more surprisingly was the fact that the oil level in the engine was way below the marks on the dipstick. It barely registered on the dipstick. There was dirt on the floor that was there from previous rentals on both sides. In an era of Covid 19, that is somewhat concerning. The truck did do what I needed it to do, after securing all the necessary parts. The rental place was ok, but wouldn't rate them as good. Still wondering about the blankets left in the back of an open box. Must be a really safe location not to have had those stolen before I got there. And no I didn't need or use them. The truck itself was good on fuel, only $11 for almost 50 km. of towing. That actually was a pleasant surprise.

The dealer for uhaul- JP Variety we're very unreasonable to deal with. I parked beside another uhaul truck and was advised I should move it to another spot after unhooking. The spot that he pointed to was not safe or reasonable to park based on the positioning of cars and the lot size. I parked it beside another uhaul vehicle... so I wasn't sure what the problem was dismissed by saying they would not accept it. And that it wasn't his problem I didn't return the trailer. I had to call uhaul myself to close the deal and send pics of the trailer as it sat in the parking lot. Horrible experience-not by uhaul but by the people who run JP Variety , Woodstock on

The U-Haul person on the phone who's name was Ben was awesome! I had talked with him in the morning about my reservation and he told me that there was the dolly I wanted at JP variety and to go and pick it up at the time I requested. This is the only reason my score is so low When I got to the variety store I saw the dolly there which is perfect went inside showed them my confirmation and after about 10 mins wait the guy behind the counter said sorry I can't let you rent it. I was a bit worried and I immediately got on the phone to u-haul again and thank god I got Ben. He said no worries sir I'll have you on your way in 5 mins. Which he did! My problem is with the JP variety store who looked and acted like they didn't have a clue what was going on. I would recommend Mabye changing that place as a u-haul yard! But thanks again to Ben! My son was very happy that we were able to pick up his first car!!! If you had a catagory for the person actually working for u-haul i would have gave him a excellent score

Service was ok, but when opened the truck it was so dirty and smells terrible, not sure what was there, Uhaul should stress on cleanliness to ensure safety for everyone, I pay a lot for the service but lately standards are dropping, sorry but this is my honest opinion

Get some new tires on your trucks. Not safe!!! Very disappointed with u haul again! You should be giving me a refund with for putting me into unsafe conditions. Spent an hour trying to get the truck out of a driveway!

the woodstock facility was fine --i am more concerned about the corporate service --there was not adequate availability is stratford--you advertise 19.99 for the day--made me drive 50 km to pick up my truck -charge me for gas and mileage and i had to deliver it back to woodstock--someone should have brought the truck to stratford--my bill came to over one hundred dollars and i used the truck for 4 hours includibg driving back and forth from woodstock -- i should report you to the better business bureau --what a scam

it took a half hour trying to get the uhaul with mobile app because the website said I could pick up normally at 8am to get there and find out they didnt open til 830. customer care phone number was no help. we asked for 6hrs it still tracked as if we had it for 8am which we didnt it was a very irritating morning.

The pickup and drop off locations are not the things that need improving. As a UHaul customer who has used your trucks many times, a better way of showing what kind of truck is available, where and for how long would by far the best improvement. Think of when you're trying to book a flight somewhere and the way a site like kayak can show you the different options in a grid form ON THE SAME PAGE to make it easier to see what difference changing the dates or the departure & arrival airports can make. The other thing that needs to change is reserving the right to confirm the previous evening that your equipment is available. We didn't run into a problem with that this time round, but last time we did. Thankfully all those games of Tetris must have paid off and we crammed our belongings in the smaller truck.

So disappointed. I reserved a dolly with my truck. I had a bedroom set to move, matress included. Truck was filthy! Leaves, dirt and cigarette butts and no dolly. I was given a cart which was no good to us and we still had to pay for it??

There were 2 very different experiences I had with this location; a positive experience at pickup and negative at drop-off. At pickup, the gentlemen who signed the truck out to me was friendly and outgoing. He instructed me that, when I bring the truck back, to park in the lot across the road as it is not used on weekends and would be easy to put the truck in. I was also told it wouldn't be an issue to drop the truck off at their location, rather then a different location closer to my home (I was leaving my car there overnight). At drop-off, I was scolded by a different employee for parking the truck where I was instructed to. This employee also told me she could not accept the truck return as it was not in her system. I was instructed to call the reservation line, where a polite individual on the phone straightened things out. The employee I was handing the keys to, told me still that she could not accept the truck return, even with the rep at the reservation office on speaker saying to us both that it was okay to return the truck there, and that she just had to refresh her screen. At this point I was told to move out of the way as she had to serve other customers (buying cigarettes). I ended up walking out, leaving the key on the desk. I will continue to use UHaul, but will not be back to this location.

Found a baby mouse inside of a condom located on the front seat. Had to remove it. Also found around 200 cigarettes smoked and butted out in the glove box. Also please remind them to remove the pornographic calendar from the truck, my 6 year old son saw it. Otherwise it was a great experience thanks

It would be nice if you could pick up the vehicle earlier than 8:30 on a Saturday but other than that it was just fine. Still think the vehicles should have windshield scrapers in the winter.

When I picked up the truck, I had requested a specific location to drop off in Toronto, 207 Weston Road, and the man that was dispatching the truck to me said that it was fine. Later after I had finished moving and had returned the truck, I was checking my emails only to discover that I was suppose to drop the truck off at 5 Defries Street. Worried I would face a fee for dropping it off at the wrong location, I tried calling numerous different numbers including this location, the 207 Weston Road location, the Defries location (which has gone out of business according to their voice mail machine), the uhaul call center, and whatever 1-800-270-2794 is. It took me an hour of calling around, and waiting on hold to get someone who was able to adjust my contract and assure me that it was an easy fix. This location in particular was quite arrogant when I called him. He had told me that I can leave the truck where ever I wanted and that it didn't matter. If that is the case then why not tell me this or give me a return location to begin with?
