Small and lacking the bells/whistles of other U-haul sites, Jaxons came through for me. Parksley is about 30 minutes south of my start point (Chincoteague, VA). But, they had the equipment I needed. Friendly and helpful, Jaxons staff did an excellent job for Uhaul and me.

Your U HAUL Internet reservation system shows all vehicle reserved, in reality most vehicles sit idle especially during this long weekend holiday! You are losing business, do something about it. I new proprietor and I was able to secure vehicle on the phone!

The rental truck had a cracked windshield (mostly on the passanger side) and as a result the wiper blades were worn out. I drove the 250 miles in mostly rain and it made the drive more stressful. Something as minor as wiper blades, but I am sure the various agents don't want to bother because the windshield needs replaced. SO REPLACE THE WINDSHIELD AND WIPERS! Also, no furniture pads were available at the pick-up location. The agent did call another location and they were out also. We were refunded to our card, but haven't seen the transaction as yet. I mentioned this in a "Contact Us" email and referenced the Master Order #.

I did not physically see or walk in to this location as this was our drop off location; we simply parked the truck and dropped the keys in the after-hours drop box. I spoke with a gentleman on the phone in advance and he was incredibly helpful though.

I was kept waiting for 45 minutes as it seems that the only individual capable of processing my rental decided to "go to lunch" at 2:00 event though I had phoned hours in advance to advise them that I would pick the rental up at 2:00. Odd time to go to lunch, and keep a customer waiting like that. Then when he did finally show up, he was unfamiliar with the u-haul software, and had to reenter all of the info I had provided online for my "express checkout". Seems pointless on my part to enter credit card, mailing address, license number, etc. just to have the individual re-enter all of this data. I'm sure it was right in front of him, but that he did not know it. Additionally, uhaul made me drive all the way to Parksley, 25 miles each way, because they did not have a truck rental available in my area ( I saw one on the way down 2 miles from my location that they apparently overlooked) charging me .69 / mile due to uhaul sending me all that distance out of my way. That's $33.50 added to my bill for no reason! Additionall;y, last time I rented from uhaul, they provided so many miles per day of rental and you paid for anything over that. Very disappointed with my uhaul experience

Not concerned about oil light sensor on. Seemed bothered with my concern over the light. Took over an hour before I could leave the shop. 30 miles from my residence, very inconvenient for me when trucks were available 9 miles away in Snow Hill, MD.

The box of the truck was not clean. There was dirt inside and I had to sweep it out before being able to load. Recommend checking and cleaning the truck.

Unfortunately, the size of the vehicle was "substituted" at the last minute to a significantly larger truck (we were notified by email, but it was too late to make other arrangements). We were forced to rent a vehicle that was too large for our needs, and it was nearly too big to fit down our driveway where we needed to load it (tree-lined, with limited turning space). It worked out, but we will certainly think twice about how this process actually turned out for our next move.

I like being able to rent your truck but after the main cost of renting, having to pay for gas and still having to pay .76 cents a mile and having to pay for truck insurance and having to pay tax and all...you really cleaned out my bank account. If people are filling up the tank before they bring it back, why still pay .76cents a mile when your already charging a rate for the truck? Why cant it just be one flat rate? For example= pay a flat rate for the truck to rent, buy small insurance,you fill the tank before you come back and that is that . I was really upset at how much I was charged overall.. The adds make it sound like your getting a deal but I'm not sure of that, there are a few things I think U-Haul needs to tweak.

Nothing was as promised, what was there the night before was not in am. The moving help that was hired on 14 aug. cancelled themselves on sept.1. The manager told me it was not his fault, I told him if not you ,who?

The truck I was given, for a cross country move, had no business in service other than local AND, further had no business towing an auto transport and car! The auto transport had seen better days and a failed latch on a ramp caused my car to fall off on the way up the transport. The strap holding the car also failed along my route and wrapped itself around my car axle, the car moving forward on the ramp. Going up hills in Hill Country, 104 degree heat was almost the last straw for this rig. Thank goodness this is over! I will NEVER use U Haul again!
