We waited for 20 min with an employee because he was unsure what to do. His boss came out and replied that they had to go do a pickup and can't help us, and to call uhaul phone number. By the time we figured out how to get set up, we lost 35 min from the 4 hours I reserved. Horrible customer service!Athan S.

Trailer appears to have lots of use and miles. While it is functional, there are a number of Pop rivets missing on the door end. Overall the unit was clean.Martin H.

The place was closed so I had to use the app to gain entry and get the keys. Never again. It was an awful experience. SIX TIMES I had to upload a photo of me and front/back of my license. Twice I had to call customer service. I was there at 3:50 to pick up the truck at 4 and I didnt drive away until 4:45.Barbara O.

Operators of this uhaul location were less than professional and caused undue distress during our move. When we arrived, my family with 3 children walked into a smoke filled office with dogs barking everywhere only to find that the rented dolly we ordered in order to move our large furniture was not available...the office manager (I'm assuming) began yelling at the other workers on front of my husband and I (we sent the kids outside because of the incredible amount of second hand smoke) belittling them for forgetting to pickup the dolly from another location. The office manager offered for us to come back the next day to pick up our uhaul and dolly and we could receive a reimbursement for $40. We agreed to get our equipment the next day and yet never received the $40 reimbursement. When we were given the contract, it indicated that the uhaul we were renting had a full tank of gas and we needed to return it filled. When we finally got into the uhaul, it had less than a half tank of gas. Thank goodness I took a picture of the gauges so the problem could be rectified, because they also tried to cheat us out of mileage. The contract they gave us was 30 miles off on the odometer! I showed the picture of the actual odometer reading when we dropped our uhaul off back home in Salem Oregon. I would absolutely NOT recommend using JJ's Towing @ 19706 Grand Mound Way SW Rochester, WA 98579 THANKFULLY the uhaul drop off was incredibly smooth and the gentleman who helped us was able to undo all of the mistakes that the original location made. He was kind and professional, exactly what we would expect from uhaul.Pamela G.

I was disappointed that they had no blankets. I had to drove 1 hr round trip to get the truck cuz I was told no trucks at the place I made reservation. When I drove to uhaul that I had made reservations at to get blankets their were 6 trucks available. They had no accessories.mari S.

Excellent service from the company! Uhaul booked the reservation at the location which would have been normally closed. It could have turned out really bad, but a staff member happened to be going to the location and found me sitting there. The staff helping me quickly looked up my reservation and was wonderful! She even took the time to call and price check the charges. It was greatly appreciated. Things couldn't have worked out better and I would recommend them.Kammi B.

The person renting me the truck and car hauler trailer had me connect the trailer to the truck, connect the wiring, connect the safety chains, and check the trailer lights & turn signals. After I asked her for help she refused citing U-Haul policy. When I asked why she said that it created liability for U-Haul and was against the law for her to do connect the trailer. Against the law? How odd. Furthermore, I was to do the walk around by myself, noting any truck damage and tell her about any additional damage not on the report. At the very least training of staff and owner is warranted. As a bolster to her refusal to help she related a story about an older woman who came in for either a trailer or car carrier and was given no help connecting the trailer, but handed a flyer on how to connect the trailer. There was absolutely NO PROBLEM with the staff attitude. She was cheerful and helpful with what she purported to be her role. The problems are with what she was required to do. About the rental yard. No signage pointing down a long alley bordered by chain link fencing with a bend in the middle to where JJ's Towing is located. It had to be pointed out to me by a local who knew where JJ's Towing is located. The trucks are not even visible from the street. I didn't see any signage for JJ's Towing OR U-Haul.jeff H.

Carolyn was very congenial and courteous. She truly did go the mile when I called her to ask questions re: the uhall rental. She is one of the few people that lately would get an A+ in my book when it comes to customer service. Bravo, Carolyn!! She was truly a joy to work with and I sincerely do mean that. The Hair Studio on Highland Ave location was great! However, the Mobile Highway location changed my pickup location three times, and I ultimately had to find another truck on my own. The place they finally sent me to, the Shell Station located at 6025 Atlanta Highway in Montgomery, was abysmal. The clerk there was the rudest man I have ever dealt with, and I decided to do absolutely no business with him. As a result, I spent the better part of an hour finding another truck after I had made a reservation two weeks in advance. So much for good customer service...I doubt I'll ever use U-haul again because of that one individual. I'd rather pay more and be treated courteously. And what about that $50 satisfaction promise?? Ha ha...what a joke.Guinn T.

I had to hook up the car carrier myself. The tail lights did not work. Brake and turn signal did, but unfortunately I finished in the dark with no tail lights. :(RICHARD M.

First of all we rented a dolly on your website to for our move. Not only did we not get a dolly but my calls weren't returned when I contacted them when I found out there was no dolly in the back of the truck. So we had to drag everything from the house to the truck. 2nd...I didn't pay attention to the amount of gas that was in the truck or what was written on the contract. When I turned the truck in in Lexington, your employee pointed out that there should be over a quarter of a tank in the truck. My wife and me know for sure that there was less that a quarter of a tank. Now I have a $66 gas bill on top of the $510 bill for renting the truck. I guess it serves me right for not paying attention, but I'll be taking my business elsewhere from now on. Along with at least a few more people in my family who we'll be telling of our experience with U-haul.SHANE W.
This was located in a hair cut studio. The person who issued me my trailer sat at tiny desk and chair with a personal laptop computer. Had I known that it would be shady like this, I would have taken my business to another U Haul, or gone to a different carrier all together. Highly recommend you re evaluate if this is how you want U Haul sites to be.MIKE J.

The entire process was terrible. I requested to pick up a truck in my town. Upon receiving the email confirmation of my order I realized they booked me for a town 20 miles away. On top of that I was told I couldn't pick the truck up until 10 am. I had already arranged for the movers to begin at 8:30, which was the time I was originally supposed to pick up the truck in my town upon making reservations. I was told by the Montgomery regional office that I could pick the truck up at 9, which was not relayed to independent uhaul rep. She arrived around 10. The truck gas gauge was wrong, the paperwork stated the truck had 1/4 tank. The truck was sitting on empty when I left. I had to spend another 30 minutes getting them to update the paperwork to reflect the gas gauge sitting on empty. IMPORTANT: The pick up location was in one of the most dangerous areas of Montgomery, AL. Me and my family did not feel safe at all. Overall: I am very dissatisified with the inital part of the process. I would not recommend using U-Haul in the Montgomery area. I am moving again in 2-3 months and will have a hard chosing U-haul again. All things need to change about your performance in the Montgomery, AL area. The rep on the phone was less than helpful. She was rude and clearly didn't care about us as the customer.MICHAEL V.
Supply at lease four independent tie down straps for the vehilce trailer. The two only front tire straps are woefully inadequate for tying down any vehicle. The "built in" tire straps are pretty useless as well. We had to purchase $150's worth of straps to safely tie down our vehilce, and that would be true for any vehicle.MILO M.
The cargo trailer had black grease/oil inside of it. This black grease ended up on my sofa & I couldn't get it all out. My humble advice is that if someone hauls things that requires motor oil, please have them clean it out of the trailer upon returning it.STARLA S.

Ensure that the truck has been cleaned. The truck I rented was dirty and the cargo space was full of dirty. It was my understanding that the mileage was unlimted but in fact was only 182 miles. Mileage from Montgomery to Georgia was in excess of 150 miles leaving very little mileage for loading and off loading at destination. The gasoline tank was a little over half full. I will never rent a truck from this location.LAWRENCE C.

There was no drop-box as previously indicated. Personnel was supposed to be on-site at noon but was not. My account was charged at pick-up and at drop-off. This was supposed to have been corrected.....but I have still been over-charged AND I AM NOT HAPPY ABOUT THAT AT ALL.JUDI C.
