Rented same trailer type on 4-5 occasions recently from Mountain View, CA without issue. On this occasion everything appeared to be OK, however it was 10pm by the time we finished loading for our 60 mile return home. While the brake lights and turn signals worked, the tail lights were initially intermittent, but after a few miles became non- existent. I tired to purchase some emergency lights, but being 10-11pm Sunday night, none of the gas stations I tried had anything. It was late and I eventually had to make the decision to drive with no illumination !!!. No tail lights, no side marker lights, nothing. The journey was mostly freeway & highway so almost zero stop/start with traffic. I did report this issue when returning the trailer.

RICHARD WLocation itself was fine, but I booked a truck at the Monterey U-Haul location weeks in advance and was told the day before my reservation that I had to drive an hour (two hours roundtrip) out of my way to a different location. I understand that this sometimes happens but it feels like a ridiculous system considering the added price of gas (almost $100 to refill) and the additional logistics and time needed. Very disappointing for this to be how this reservation went, especially since I booked my truck weeks earlier. U-Haul should have an employee bring a truck to the reserved location rather than spring it on the customer at the last second, absolutely ridiculous.

As a first timer, it took me more than 10 mins to figure out where the drop box. They should put the drop box near the entrance where we park the vehicles for return.
