Was a diiscrepency on the gas gauge. I had put $82 dollars in to fill the tank up from what looked like 3/8 of a tank. I drove from Youngstown,, OH to Johnstown, OH(Columbus) I checked the gas gauge when I returned the truck, looked the same as when I picked it up. The gentleman at Ace Hardware, Tate, who was very nice, told me I owed $51. I was shocked. I ended up taking the truck , which wasn’t do back til Saturday, and this was on a Thursday, and put $30 of gas in, which put the gauge over half full, more than enough. Tate said I would be refunded the difference, but couldn’t tell me how much, yet he could tell me how much I owed initially So , the problem was, I couldn’t tell the difference between 5/16 and 3/16. Maybe it’s more computerized than before, but I never had an issue before, in all the years I’ve been using U haul. .

Staff also very friendly and run out of an ACE Hardware, so very clean.
CHERYL WThe truck was terribly outdated and did not drive well
PAM MThis Ace recently opened and used this visit as a training tool for their employees. It went very well. We had some questions concerning liability coverages and related charges and they took the time to seek out the answers allowing themselves to learn in the process. My only complaint would be that the vehicle could have had the cab cleaned a bit better. The gum wrappers and goldfish crackers could have been cleaned up easily. I swept it out before I returned it.
MARK EMost horrendous experience of my life!!! Ace Hardware of Johnstown has no right to rent U-Haul’s! They have NO IDEA what they are doing. Sooo many mistakes. So much wasted time!!
MEAGAN KUnfortunately, the size truck I wanted was not available so I was given a larger truck. Costs were supposed to be about the same but the gas mileage on the larger truck worked out to about 2.25 miles/gallon. Big surprise. I'll have to be more cautious next time.
