So the guy lives behind his shop in a camper. He said he sent me an email with a code for the key so he didn't have to come into the shop because he had a late night at the red wings game (insert eye roll emoji) ....... I still have not received that email . He had , no joke, rolled out of bed and came in the shop to get me the key and fill out the paperwork. so weird. The truck was clean , but it drove terrible, anything over 40 and it shook like the front end was going to fall off it. Could use some break work as well. I have used U-Haul 4 or 5 times . And this is the worst experience i've ever had , it's nothing terrible but just not professional. If needed I will use U-haul again but will absolutely NOT use this location . CREEPY !

We reserved a 15 ft and recess 26 ft. It was a little intimidating to drive such a large vehicle, but we managed. Please credit me back the $10 for the furniture pads that you forgot to include with the truck.

When I showed up around 12:40 to pick up the truck at the Brockport location using the online checkin, I was met with a “your reservation has expired, please call [so-and-so]”, so I did and got a voice mail. I approached the office and was met with a locked door, even though the rep who’d called me on Friday assured me they would be open until 2pm, which is what a sign on the door also confirmed. A woman inside - without letting me in - said to someone else “there’s someone here” and then I waited a few minutes before the door was unlocked. The man behind the counter knew I was coming, but told me he was about to leave for the day since I had mobile check in. I explained that I was told they’d be open until 2pm, somehow my reservation was now expired, and he went through the steps I’d done previously to set me up with a rental. I don’t think the 20 miles the rep who called me Friday promised me were carried over to the new reservation.

Uhaul itself was disappointing. I bought the insurance and it did not cover the mail box I hit. Why did I even pay for it?

The uhaul required almost the foot to the floor to gain any speed with the back empty. Maybe the truck needs a transmission check too? Otherwise the uhaul did exactly what I needed it to reliably, 9/10 would recommend and would use again.

Did not explain things about truck, just took money and handed keys. Did not make truck available when we needed it. macedon- Worker was very helpful in explaining how to attach trailer and car and making sure it was safe. However, we made our reservations 2 weeks in advance and Uhaul forced us to drive 45 miles both ways to pick up the trailer. This cost us time, gas, and mileage on the truck. If you make a reservation, they should have the equipment where and when you need it. You're the paying customer!

I have a general comment that gets less than 1 star. I reserved this Trailer approximately 5 weeks prior to my move in hopes to pick up in Kingston NY - 2 days prior to my move, I received a Text saying my pickup was Albany NY and when I called, the pickup point had now moved to Williamstown MA - I thought it was a JOKE! almost 2 hours from my house - your reservation system is not good and I am deeply disappointed in my experience this time with UHaul. I had to move so I sucked it up and drove over 2 hours to pickup. I hope to see some changes in the reservation system.

Please give a hard copy receipt when you drop off. No paper work was exchanged. Your customer should have some sort proff that rental was dropped off.

We had to ask the man at the return counter to go outside and inspect the truck while we were still there. He then told us that we went over in our miles and he was going to charge my credit card. At the time we picked the truck up we were told we had 330 miles, the man at the return said we only had 250. He refused to look into where the discrepancy was. I don’t feel that I should have been charged the extra $12, but we were far too tired to fight about it.

The app did not work for pick-up or drop-off. I called the main number and was on hold FOREVER. I had to wait until the shop opened one hour later to pick up the vehicle. The shop attendant was super nice and the vehicle was in good shape. When it came time to drop off, the app would not let me enter any information. This made me uneasy, because I wasn't sure if I was going to be penalized.

This location incorrectly recorded the mileage on the truck. I have complained to no avail. They are outfitted with GPS which would prove my point but they got their money so why bother. I am a trucker so I always record mileage. They transposed a number which cost me a more than double what it should have and no one will make this right. I would never rent another U-haul. They charged me for the insurance even though I declined it. Poor business and no resolution. Steer clear!!

Disappointed 5x8' enclosed trailer was not available for pick-up for me after almost a month reserved before needed. I found one, by accident, at another U-Haul facility close by. Luckily it wasn't being used. Would have been nice to notified ahead of time by someone there was difficulty locating trailer I wanted.

Pick up location was fine, owner was not there due to family emergency but neither was anyone else so. The hitch was so rusted that the only way to lock it down was to have another person move the receiver side to side while another turns the locking nut.

After paying $174 and returning the truck with several gallons of extra gas the company actually charged me for one single excess mile for 40 cents. If youre going to hold the customer to the exact amount and not one mile more then you owe me about $10 for the extra gas i put in. Sorry but I'll never be renting from uhaul again. Enjoy your 40 cents.

Give accurate estimates on rentals. I was given a set price for my trailer rental and was billed a totally different amount.

I did not get what I reserved months before I needed it (5x8 enclosed trailer). The only trailer available was a 4x8 which would not fit a queen size box spring. So it could not be moved and I need to purchase another one. You can reserve whatever you want but it does not mean it will be available.

The guys were unprofessional. We had to drive to walmart to get an adapter to plug in the lights. He did not have the correct location for the dropoff hence making our drop off a horrible experience. Made numerous calls to U-haul and waited on hold longer than I spoke with a real person. You really need to up your game with customer service.

I was confused when returning on a Sunday. I did not know there was a lock box and locked the keys in the ignition. I called Monday morning and the guy said he had to call a locksmith to get into the truck. I said, you are also an automotive place, do you mean to tell me you do not have a slim jim to get into the truck? No answer. I did make a mistake but I also think the guy lied to me about the lock smith. Mine was an honest mistake, still, over all the rental was good and I would use U Haul again.

The location was unmarked,there was an open beer can on the shelf as you walk into the door, the cab of the truck was filthy. Normally when I rent a uhaul I opt out of the dolly but there is still one zip tied to the inside of the truck as a just in case that can be billed after the fact. That was not the case with this one which was very inconvenient seeing as this turn out to be one of the times it would have been nice to have. I don't think I will ever be renting from this location again and if it comes down to be having to drive to Holley or greece to get a uhaul then I would prefer the extra $30 in mileage than renting from this location again.

Why don’t your trailers have dolly wheels. The gentleman was gracious enough to hook me up. But when I dropped it later that night I had to unhook it myself. Very disappointing. I am also upset you folks felt the need to take $1.00 out of my account. I will most likely not due business with UHaul again. JT Auto was helpful though.

I needed to transport a lawnmower. I called JT Auto a few days before to find out what equipment he had with a ramp. He made a suggestion & that's what I rented. It worked out perfectly. JT Auto was very professional & a pleasure to work with.

When I reserved the truck I said I did not want the insurance but I see on my bill I was billed the 14 for the insurance. Only reason I didnt give it a excellent. I didnt notice the charge until the next day when I looked at my email receipt
