I reserved my truck two weeks in advance. Trying to be thorough I asked the customer service if there was any thing that I needed to do or have to make sure that there would be no problems. I was told no and that all essential information was able to be checked online. Then on the day of my rental I called again and asked the same question. I was told the same thing. I then asked what time my local office, that had my truck would be closing. The agent checked online and told me they would close at 7:30 pm. When I went to the office I went early at 4:30 even though my rental was at 5:00 pm. I was immediately told that I was "lucky" because they were about to close. Irritated by that response I mentioned that I had spoken just that day with customer service to confirm when this particular office closes. Your employee said and I quote. "oh head office has no idea whats going on." I told him but they said you close at 7:30 pm. He told me and again I quote "we make our own hours here, its a holiday! We have places to be too." If your offices are allowed to close anytime they want then there's no point in displaying hours on your website. If I had shown up for when my rental was booked, I would not have been able to pick up my rental. Every part of my move would have been screwed up. My suggestion is that you create a piece of software that allows for real time information about each locations hours. And that it be updated daily so that your customer service center is relaying accurate information. Secondly I was not told by anyone that I would need data on my phone to even pick up the truck. Due to the fact that they now ask you to follow a link they send you, (while physically in the office), to photograph your identification. I mentioned I didn't have data, and was the told "while I wont be able to give you the truck then." Customer service needs to relay that information to the customer. Or each office needs to have a customer Wifi signal available in the event the customer does not have data. It does not make sense that I can physically be in the office with a valid credit card, licence and reservation. But I can't pick up my rental because I didn't have data on my phone. Luckily my brother had data so I was able to proceed. I was extremely irritated with the customer service I received. I have used your service many times in the past, but I will not be doing so again. I will also recommend to others to try a different service as well. I'm a pretty laid back guy and when it comes to repulsive customer service, I just to try to get through it. What's the point of feeding into the immaturity? You most likely will never see them again, so a response to their disgusting behavior is never warranted, let alone an online review. Get in, get out, right? I've moved a lot in the last few years and I've used U-haul every time. Usually it's pretty painless, sometimes it takes longer than expected, but overall, you can't go wrong for the price. But man, this U-haul dealer is hands down the worst U-haul dealer in all of North America. If you don't like to be ridiculed or belittled (who does?) do not rent from here, trust me. The entire process I was treated like a child. At first I was confused, I didn't understand why he was being condescending, I gave him no reason, but after a few minutes I realized that's just who he is. I'll deal with it. Get in, get out, right? After 5 minutes of going through the process, we reached a section of the paperwork I didn't quite understand. Perhaps it was the lack of sleep from packing, but for some reason, for a split second, I was confused. I needed a simple clarification. A simple clarification for my tired brain to help make it to the next step. That's all. So I mentioned I was confused. His response, 'Did you read?' I nodded and said yes. 'Just read it,' he says while laying back in his chair, arms crossed behind his head. The paperwork had me stumped, now I'm even more confused. I let him know for the third time that I had read it. He decides to double down on his behavior, laughs and sings, 'If you reeeead, you will succeeeeeed!' NOW I'm seriously confused. I stood there dumbfounded as I watched him swivel back and forth in his chair. All I wanted was the smallest of clarification. If I would have known he was so smug, I wouldn't have bothered asking. Like every U-haul customer, you just want to get the formalities out of the way so you can start what you already know is going to be a long day. Get in, get out, right? The story above is just one of many examples this U-haul authorized employee helped make my 'moving day' a little less stressful. There were other moments, but the singing one takes the cake. In the end, I made it through his unpleasant conduct without acknowledging his professionalism and got the truck out of there!

There was nobody to receive us when we returned the vehicle half an hour before the agreed-upon time, so we gave the keys to an attendant in the car wash who said that he worked for the mini mart that rents out the UHaul trucks. We were worried that we would be charged for not bringing the truck back on time because we did not give the keys directly back to the person who gave them to us.

It was clean however the blankets, I rented 3 bundles of 6 yet only received 17 blankets, of which only bundle was wrapped. One bundle was half wrapped/ripped open. And another bundle wasnt wrapped at all. Also began by blocking my entrance to the store then was overly picky with renting the vehicle due to my initial response when he blocked the door. When I originally booked on the west side of city I would have preferred a west side pick up not slightly northwest of the city center.

While the vehicle was in good working condition given that there is a car wash on site I might have expected it would have been washed. Having said that it is November and the end of the month so understood.

The ease of picking up and dropping off the truck was amazing! No line up, no hassles, and no confusions like past experiences with other main u-haul branch. Customer service is excellent. The truck is in good condition. The price is fair and we were able to move our stuff in no time.

We did not select this location- had selected a different location but were re-routed twice to the K Mini Mart. Despite them not having it noted that we could drop off there, they made it work so we didn't have to go somewhere else

Staff was efficient. However during my 3 hour drive the parking brake light and dinger was going off on the dash board. The parking brake was not on as we check. The sound continued for the full 3 hour drive. It is the same noise as when you leave your car door open and it dings so you will close it. If you have ever been in a uhaul this noise is very loud. After three hours of constant dinging in our ears we arrived at our destination with headaches and still a full uhaul to unpack and set up. In addition I have been on the phone to try and talk to someone about our trip and have been hung up on after waiting 10 mins. Very poor service.

The agent was angry at me because I asked them about the empty gas tank in the truck they gave me. They were so angry that they threatened to not rent me the truck. The manager (I guess) came in and without any questions asked starting lambasting me because his employer was angry at me. He said he won't rent me the truck. I had to plead with them and apologized for just asking a question. They eventually gave me the truck. They claimed that the truck was on 1/4 gas tank, but it was actually empty. The most disappointing aspect was when the manager brought up my race. He specifically said "you're only doing this because you're black and his employee is black". This really disturbed me. Thank you.

was charged extra for being late. we had been called by U-haul staff to return the rental to a certain location, when we were on the road to drop the vehicle off at another location. when we rented the unit, we had not been told we had to drop off the truck at any specific location, and we told her that we would drop it off at the one that was closest to us. so we had to turn around and drive to the other location that was calling us repeatedly to return the truck to their location. This happened at peak rush hour for that day and the return was delayed because we went to another location! if we had not been interrupted by pushy U-haul staff, the vehicle's return would have been right on time! But they insisted it was OUR fault because they had that truck reserved for someone else! I've never been aware that there was an absolute deadline the truck must be returned by. what if I couldn't get the truck fully unloaded? I was under the impression that we had the truck as long as we needed it and we pay for the time it was in our use? why then was there phone calls telling me they had the truck reserved for someone else!?!? Do your staff make reservations on vehicles they THINK will be returned to their location!? this is truly poor business practice, and to be charged for mere minutes that we were late when it was their fault in the first place?

We dropped the U-Haul off after hours. There’s no signs telling you where to park in their very tiny, very cramped, full parking lot. We spent 20 mins finding the key drop off box and making sure the key went in because it was dropping the key. The following morning I checked my charges to see a cleaning fee of $30! I was shocked because there was a sign saying skip the cleaning charge and do it yourself and I thoroughly swept and cleaned the U-Haul. I would think a follow call would be in order to confirm what charges they are going to make to ensure they are proper because in this situation it was not and it seemed like they were charging just to do so.
