RICHARD CThe truck ran fine however the interior was quite dirty when we picked it up. There was some type of pet food all over the floor and the inside of the windows had a film of residue on them. Pick-up process was a bit chaotic as there were several people waiting to pick up trucks when the facility opened at 10AM. However, when it was our turn for service the personnel was friendly.
SHELLY VKB Autos has a very good process for picking and dropping off the auto transport trailers. I checked in before I arrived and was on my way very quickly. When I returned the trailer drop off took less than five minutes. I have used this location several times and have always had a good experience.

Walker Pi followed their instructions and placed the trailer in the back when returned after hours. 2 days later i went to rent a trailer again and it said i still had previous trailer rented. I called uhaul 800 number and they said they called the location and the guy said he would call them back. an hour later, i drove down to the location and they acted like they didn't get the call from Uhaul... very odd. I explained the issue, they went out and saw the trailer there, and then corrected the error. The next day i rented a trailer again and asked for a discount due to the complications they caused. he said he'd try to help me out. but when I returned it on-time, he again said hed try to help out.. but NOTHING came for the inconvenience. i don't understand how they could make it so complicated and keep on making promises they dont keep
Glenn BVery difficult to figure out where to return. Also, I was pulling a trailer and had no idea where to leave it. I got stuck in a one way drive trying to turn around with a trailer for ten minutes before a guy came out and told me to just leave it.

Shawntel GKB Autos is not the closest location to my house. I always rent from them when possible because the staff there is excellent. I have no suggestions on how to improve this location because everytime I have used them (at least 3 or 4 times) the experience has been great.

Ronald SI had to go to this location for a truck after a reservation at another location didn’t have my truck. Very disgusted with U-Haul at this point. I wasted two hours running around looking for the second truck. U-Haul call center. Employees were rude and one actually hung up on me. I’ll look at other companies first move forward.
TIMOTHY AAwful. Still waiting on a call from customer service. Needed to get a 26 ft truck at 7 am, planned to do mobile pick up, turns out the location doesn’t do that but the app says you can. Wasn’t able to pick up truck until 9, had to tell movers to come later bc of that. Also it was a 20ft truck and not a 26. Causing us to not be able to pack our whole house and use the movers for that. Movers left after 4 hours and we still have several things in our home that needs movers to move them so we are now hiring other people. This experience was a nightmare.

ELI GThey never want to give you a receipt. And I told them I wanted a printed receipt because I didn't get one another time and they tried to say that I didn't turn the U-Haul in that Saturday when I did and they tried to get a extra day payment.

Jay SI would suggest some maintenance on the appliance dolly. There was only one left when I picked up the truck. It was missing the strap to secure the appliance and one of the stair assist tracks was missing the belt over the mini wheels so you could not use the equipment properly. Check in and drop off was fast and easy and staff was friendly.
Kathy TLocation: The person at the pickup location was slow and didn't communicate well, but was nice enough and told me there was no paperwork that I'd be emailed the contract. Uhaul.com: What I was very displeased with was that the equipment was a 40 minute drive away even though I reserved to pickup and drop off equipment at the location 7 minutes from my house. When getting the confirmation call, and I asked about getting it at the location I reserved with I was told that "maybe they didn't have any, and oh yeah there's a note here that this is why". Ok so i drive the 40 minutes there arrive at 12:00, talk with the person there, am told the contract will be emailed, drive 40 minutes home, then about 20 minutes later the contract is emailed. 3 days later it's time to return the trailer. I check the paperwork and it says that the return location is with the contract. The contract only shows "location" of where I picked it up, no return location even though with my reservation the location was Gone Country in Denver, NC. I go to Gone Country but they haven't opened, I call your 800 number and the person on the other end is pleasant but insistent that I have to return it to the pickup location even though that's not what I selected on my reservation. So he offers to connect me to customer service, I explain to the lady on the line there, after being on hold for 10 minutes, the situation. She says yeah, it's in the contract. I explain that no, actually the contract just says "location" not "return location". She says well if you had concerns you should have looked at your contract, I explain again that the contract arrived 1hr after pickup. She says well you should have raised your concern during the confirmation call, again I state that I did and asked them to double check on availability at the location closer to me. She again repeats "you should have checked your contract" we go through that cycle one more time, then she says well on the website when you made the reservation it says that. I asked "says what?" she clarifies, that it says that we can change the location if we need to based on equipment availability. I say I understand that, and picked the equipment 40 minutes away from me because that was all that was apparently available, but at no time was I told that the drop off location was changed. There was no empathy, no attempt to do anything, no concern that I'm having to spend 90 minutes of my time missing work on a monday morning because of this change and lack of notification from uhaul. She says I should have changed the reservation to a one-way, before picking up the trailer, I re-state that there was no indication that this had been changed, she repeats that it's in the contract, i repeat that I didn't get the contract until 1hr after pickup. She then says "yes, and we apologized for that", "when was that apology?" I asked. She said that her telling me "we apologized for that" was an apology for the inconvenience of changing the pickup location. I said "ok, thanks for that and have a good day" she stayed on the line for another 20 seconds without saying a word then hung up. So in summary, what can you do for the next customer: 1. honor the reservation pickup location, actually have the equipement there 2. don't change the drop off location without informing the customer 3. if changes are necessary, have the customer sign off on them before pickup 4. have customer service reps who have at least a minimal amount of empathy for the situations you all are putting customers into 5. have customer service reps that note down what went wrong and give some indication that they are going to do something about it, maybe note a software issue in the system that could have informed and prevented some of these problems. Maybe something about requiring customer acknowledgement, something. I have the distinct sense that no f$%^s were given here and that the implication is that it's my fault I don't understand internal uhaul policies, systems limitations, and contracts before having given the chance to read them.

When I pointed it out to him on the app and paperwork he begin to argue with me. The contract had to be voided and redone only after I told him off. Worst experience ever. I felt disrespected. There are other companies I can use for truck rental.
