When I made my reservation online, I requested the trailer, a hand truck and 10 each boxes. When I arrived the trailer was great, I was told I had to purchase boxes directly from their storage facility and there was no hand truck available. So now I am being shipped 10 each boxes and an adapter plug which I have no idea why?

I complained and asked to speak to the owner on more then one occasion due to the fact my storage unit was robbed as well as several others in the same building by someone that worked there. They climbed over from unit to unit from the bacl entrance. He is a slum lord do not rent from David mc graw..

I called the 800 # and was told someone would call me back, after waiting for an hour and a half, nobody had called me back. I call the 800# back to let them know that I had left the trailer and left the contract in the drop box. Very poor customer service.

Cathy W.When you call the location of drop off you should actually get an employee that works at the location of drop off not the 1 800 UHAUL. Thursday July 28 2022 we called the 1800 UHAUL number and made a one way reservation for Saturday July 30 2022 for a 26' from Youngsville La 70592 to Natchitoches LA 71457. We were told closest place to pick up was Cajun Hardware Kaplan LA at 10 am. Moving. Under contract. Closing. New owners. Time sensitive. We drove several hours to location. Location turned off. Blocked. No longer taking UHAUL customers. We called UHAUL for several hours. At times using multiple phones. 1 800 UHAUL. Traffic #. Supervisor phone numbers. Etc. Left on excessive holds. Calls dropped. Transferred. Traffic # consistently after giving details of your situation we're told you've reached New Orleans let me transfer you to Baton Rouge. More excessive holding. Baton Rouge would answer let me transfer you back to Louisiana. Then here goes the final transfer. Excessively excessive. Music and repeated voice eventually stops. Then just nothing. In outer space. Customer service…. Now that transfer was even a bigger joke. One employee. One after five hours of relentless calling emailing and chatting only one employee tried to help. She actually explained things and where we need to be and what we need to do. She apologized so many times for everyone at UHAUL failure. Customer never picked up. Ever. Consistently heard over and over the pre recorded message that this number could not help with truck reservations or cancellations. To hang up and call another number. Emails were never responded to. Chatting took forever and only one responded only to tell us to call the traffic number. The New Orleans/Baton Rouge/Louisiana number. Extremely upset angry deflated disappointed etc. Took off work. Very short window. Time sensitive. Expensive. And a total waste of precious time and money. Zero accomplished. To date we still have not heard one word from UHAUL. Not one. Nothing. Zip. This experience I rate you a negative. Zero. Our experiences with the Kaliste Saloom branch in Lafayette LA and Hwy 89 in Youngsville LA in person on site is exempt from this complaint. No issues. Ever. Multiple business transactions starting April 2022 to current.
Brian R.My Situation was unique. I had a house fire July 5th, my family was in temporary housing until July 31st while the house was being prepared. Well this was very costly. I had hoped to be out of temporary housing before the 31st. Well they finished enough repair for us to move back in a day before the 31st. Well I needed a U-hall that day. I seen a lot of trucks I said thank God, all to find out I didn't reserved one. The tech told me he didn't have a truck available they were all booked never said let take your number, if something comes open I will call. Or check back at such time. The only way I ended up with the truck was persistence. I called and went back 30 minutes before it closed. I know my emergency was his. Just show a little more concern and kindness.

She was as helpful but I assume made none of the decisions as to address my concerns. I was told the unit was climate controlled, however the area I rented was much hotter than I expected. I asked about the temperature and was told the ac would be fixed/adjusted. 3 months later when we picked up my daughters stuff, the moister caused several items to be damaged including her tv and rug. Her tv stuck to the bottom of the cement due to sweating issues due to lack of moister control. Her rug also stuck to the cement and was covered in mold. Several of the boxes had wet bottoms causing some of her clothing to contain mold. So over all, not a good outcome and a costly mistake that I will not repeat.
