I simply dropped the truck off. No one was there. However, the instructions to drop off the truck were clear as I had phoned the person the day I was to drop off the truck. I had phoned to explain that the highway between Prince Rupert and Terrace has a freezing rain warning and people were advised not to travel unless it was essential. The response was that I would be charged an extra day. I responded by saying that I had paid for the U-Haul truck insurance and I didn't think it was in the company's best interest if I drove the truck, given the road conditions. If I went off the road due to the icy road conditions, it would mean that the company would lose the truck for at least a week or more depending on the extent of the damage. And I might be seriously hurt or killed. (BTW, the next day, I counted one car in the ditch on its roof, and RCMP accident tape on an another piece of road where someone had gone down 30 - 40 feet). There also seemed to be a disconnect about where I was going to travel. I had said when I rented the vehicle that I needed to go to Prince Rupert to unload it. I was then asked if I could return the truck to Terrace. I said I could as my car was parked at the Terrace/Kitimat Airport. After dropping off the truck in Terrace (the next day when the weather had warmed up) I received a invoice stating that I was being billed for $222 for excess mileage. The amount of the mileage was the distance from Terrace to Prince Rupert and then back to Terrace. I contacted U-Haul and chatted with "Michigan" Tammy who, after listening to my story, checked with her boss and then advised me that they would credit my account for the excess milage charge. So, all in all, I would have to say that this was not a great U-Haul experience. Certainly not what I had gotten used to expecting. I have rented trucks and trailers several times. The saving grace was "Michigan" Tammy who managed to sort it out.

I rented a enclosed small trailer. About halfway through my trip a tire on the trailer blew. It was 3 am on the side of the highway. After many confusing conversations with uhaul, the amazing guy from Kal tire got us back on the road at 830 am. Yup that's right, we sat on the side of the highway for 5 hrs!! Not at all impressed.

You have to change that third party dealer from Terrace BC. That dealer has zero knowledge over business.

Customer service at this location was rude over the phone, swore, then hung up on me. All due to his in ability to schedule. He gave us a truck a day earlier then we needed it then demanded the truck back for 3pm the next day when we took possession of the house in the late morning, on top of that we ordered a 26’ truck and we’re given a 15’ so multiple trips were needed and still didn’t get the move done. When I dropped off the truck there were two other groups of people there waiting for one truck. This reservation system seems to be broken. It seems to just be a first come first serve. The next time we move we will probably look for another truck rental company after dealing with this.

The gentleman who I talked to was great to deal with. I had given the truck up 1 day earlier then scheduled, to help out a nother customer that was in need. The gentleman explained the other person's situation this location as well really tries to help the customers.

Great return of vehicle. No issues with the return, except they were not told that it was coming. UHAUL: I rushed to get the truck unloaded because the email said another family was awaiting it. To find out I did not have to injure myself getting it offloaded so quickly.

While on the highway to my destination I unfortunately I had to figure out that not only were my truck tires almost bald but they were not studded in the middle of the winter and when I bought it up to the pick up company they said they hadn't even looked at the truck

when trying to extend rental ian was to busy to talk .when asked about renting unit longer he said every thing will be fine then the shit show began .truck had no lights tires were not meant for snow. and couldn't get the help or answers we needed.

My rental was not available to me on date and time booked. Ian told me there are no guarantees and this is the way they have been running the business for 50 years. I was not contacted to be notified the previous rental had not been returned so I would not be getting my booking. I received the vehicle 20 hours later. Customers should be notified immediately of any changes. The vehicle was received with only 1/4 tank of fuel. Not enough to reach my destination. Vehicles should be rented out with a full tank, like typical car rentals. Central customer service rep Sukh was very helpful to compensate for the late service.

The location was the wrong location... I was to pick it up in prince Rupert...... the Terrace location was helpful but my complaints are all with the Prince Rupert area! My experience with your company was very poor. I have used your company for my first move so I had no hesitation to use it again. But my second experience was horrible. They gave me the wrong size truck on what I originally ordered they told me that it was to be delivered to my town, but we had to drive 2 hour to get a diffrent truck, and with me and my husband being disabled and not having a vehicle. Was not a great thing we spent as much trying to get the moving truck so we could move.... as on the truck! So no I'm not happy with your services but your the only moving service around here so when we move again I will have no choice to use the service again. But will never recommend this company to anyone.... ever! The man that helped us in Terrace was wonderful. And the man in Vanderhoof was even better. But your company has to make a lot of changes if there going to keep clients.

The seatbelt height adjustment (drivers) did not adjust making it an uncomfortable drive. Also renting a vehicle from Kelowna to Kitimat ( then return it back to Terrace) the allotted mileage should account for the trip back to Terrace for drop off

I book the truck for four days cause i didnt have many people to help but people pulled together and i got it all done in two days but i got charged for how many days i booked the truck for not how many days i used it 😡

I received a call ten minutes prior to my pick up time and was told that they did not have a truck for me. I explained that I received a confirmation email that there would be a truck. After begging the man on the phone he gave me a truck. He stated that my confirmation email was a mistake and he would delay the other customer who was booked so I could move our household.

I was royally screwed by Uhaul. Tupical I rented a trailer from Watson Lake for $399.00 Then 2 days before found out that they didn't have any. As we were moving 2 day later was able to get a trailer though Terrace. No one told me the charge was going to be $4400.00. WHAT CRAP SERVICE!!! I will buy a trailer before I ever rent from this crap company ever again

Ian did not know how to attach tow Dolly. If we left it to him our car would have detached from Dolly. We were downsized in truck size and had to get rid of a lot of our stuff. To top it all off, the pick up location was not where it said it was going to be and we had to pay for extra days to ensure we received a truck and find someone to pick up in Terrace, we lived on Haida Gwaii. Our daughters car was stolen off of Dolly in Prince George.

When you say I have a truck on a certain day, dont say maybe in 3 days! When one is moving from 1 house to another timing is crucial. Maybe explain to customers how to use manual gears to avoid the screaming automatic on downhills. My tach reached 4000+ RPM.
