I booked online. When I arrived, the attendant knew nothing about how to check me in and did nothing to help me other than to say I had to check in online. Finally he put me in touch with the area U-Haul manager, who argued with the attendant, telling him he had to use his computer. Finally the attendant put me on the phone with U-Haul and they checked me in. The 6x12 trailer had a tail light out. I attempted to extend an extra day online and was informed the trailer was not available to keep. I returned on time and checked in on the app. Much easier than having to deal with the station attendant, although when I went in to get a drink he complained more about his training and U-Haul. The location is 1 mile from my house where I moved out. I pass it multiple times a day. The trailer never moved for 2 days after I left it. I could have had it and paid for an extra day. Sorry U-Haul.

Awful! Clearly they had no idea we had rented the equipment. They also had no way to look up the reservation, payment, or model rented. I had to call in to pay while I was at the quick shop. Then, after all the horrible experiences, they gave no instruction on how to hook up, check for safety or make sure we had the right trailer or it was hooked up correctly. I felt bad for the worker. Clearly this location has no business being a U-HAUL vendor/location. They didn’t train or prepare their workers. I didn’t feel safe leaving the location!!!! Later that day, I received a phone call from U-Haul asking if I was going to pick up the trailer as I was driving with it hooked up. Due to the inability of the location I picked up the trailer at to check in that the trailer was picked up, corporate was unaware of the accurate situation. Please make changes with locations that aren’t interested in safely or accurately accessing rentals. I believe that I shouldn’t even be required to pay for this rental due to the unsafe and disjointed customer service! Please contact me. Heather Ozment 618-917-5024
