The Uhaul online experience was terrible. After attempting check in several times I resorted to check in at the pick up location. Online kept telling me to enter a valid province name... how many ways can I write ON or Ontario? At pickup I received a text asking me to verify the vehicle but the license plate upload failed 3 times so I ignored the request.

I came to this location AFTER being very disappointed at another location. I was told originally I could not get a 10 foot truck in this location so they moved me to another location. I asked the new location if they would be open New Year's day and he guaranteed they were. Lie #1. Wasn't open. Then they didn't even have the truck available I had ordered. The person the day before decided not to bother bringing it back. So my move could have been derailed. The original location said he lost my phone # to call and tell me. Lie #2. Initially he said he should have called me to tell me. He had to come from about 1 hour away to bring me a key for a bigger truck they had on site. I was on a schedule and didn't feel I had to sit around waiting for them to show up. I cancelled that truck and went to Kings and rented the van they had available. Moving forward, if I have to pick up at the location that wasn't there for me, I will probably go elsewhere. I was very disappointed in this situation and will think twice renting from Uhaul again. There should be at least a steep penalty for not bringing back the truck on time.

When I unlocked the door both seats were covered in white or Grey cat or dog hair. I'm allergic & I spent the day sneezing & eyes running. Van was not clean - prices quoted on website went up from quote on site - not a satisfied customer at all.

drop-off was quick and easy. Guy at desk mentioned that the lot was over capacity and that Uhaul scheduled a drop off at this location even though they were over capacity. He ended up taking the vehicle but similar to the pickup location getting moved it felt disorganized.

Return my deposit,because Kings Convienice in Kingsville ripped me off. They knew it was a 2 way trip and lied on the application. They charged me for 17 hours even though they new it was going to 5 hour's or less. He put his own name and phone number as the renter's instead of mine. He charged me for 60 kls when I only used 29kls I made sure to return it with more gas than I used. He won't return my calls . He used my credit card to scam me for my deposit. I have to go file a police report because that's the only way to get my deposit back on my credit card. Unless head office is going to take care of this scammer and make him return my deposit. I believe this is why he wouldn't take cash and insisted a credit card so he could rip me off.

Coming in from Chatham to pickup the truck in Windsor I was not informed until I got there that they changed my pickup location to Kingsville. In the past I have received a text about changes to pickup location ahead of time. This was extremely disappointing and time consuming

Only problem is I was billed twice for the rental of the truck...I used my debit card at the store to pay for the rental and was also charged the same amount on my visa card so I expect a refund of 99.15 that was charged to my visa since you double billed me on the same rental.

Starting with a full tank of gas is preferred because I guessed wrong about how much fuel to get it back to 5/8 full and probably put in an extra $25 worth of fuel.

Didn't drop the truck of there. Dropped off at Discount Marine in Kingsville. I had talked to the owner there previously and he's a good guy. I would recommend Discount Marine.

RE: Contract # 20891943 : When I booked a vehicle on-line, it indicated there was one available at the local dealer. A day or two later, a guy named Adam called and said sorry I would have to go to the next town to get it. He said I would be compensated for the extra kms I would drive ( about 25) to get it. On April 28 or 29, I called u-haul (226-315-1088) and spoke to a guy in Windsor. I asked him if this info was in the file so the vendor would be aware. He said no, but to compensate for the extra distance and time put on me for the on-line mistake, he would make the km rate .49 instead of .69. Sat am when I went to get the vehicle - a cargo van, the store clerk said the van had been overbooked and wasn't available. This is not the kind of stress someone needs on a move date, when myself and 3 others have planned to move things. My helpers were coming from 45 mins away. The clerk re-read and saw that my trip was noted as one way and I told her it was 2 way and I would be bringing the van back. In the meantime, every customer that came in got served so I was waiting about half an hour to eventually get keys and leave. In the end, I was grateful that the move went without a problem and the van was returned without issue. U Haul is a great service that so many people depend on. It was disappointing to have the on-line booking be unreliable, and TWO discussions with U Haul employees be empty promises. Why lie to a customer? It just damages the businesses credibility. What it seems is U Haul is ok with saying appeasing things to someone before hand, knowing they are not going to follow through and that most people will be too busy to follow up on a promise that was unfulfilled. Yes, the amount of rebate is only around $20. The point is, customer service. Don't say it if you're not going to do it.

The cabin of the uhaul stunk of smoke. The cabin was full of mud all over the seats and floor. The storage of the truck was not clean at all. Mud and dirt all over the floor and moms attic. Also found atelast 10 wood nails and screws in the storage cabin. Lady at this location was great. Very friendly.

Storage area dirty and muddy. Seal on drivers side door broken, very loud and windy. Interior space not clean. Mirror on passenger side not able to be adjusted.

Took forever to return the truck. Finally told me everything was good and I could go. I returned it early, with more gas and very clean. A day later I get a bill for extra mileage. Other reviews on this guy are accurate. Do the right thing...find someone else.

The problem was not so much with the location that I picked up the truck. The problem is that when I went to move I had to get a smaller truck because the larger trucks were not available I had to rent two trailers in addition to the truck because the larger truck was unavailable and I had to make two trips nine hours there and back twice to make the move instead of once. On the second trip U-Haul gladly charged me twice the price for the truck that they initially did. This is the same 15 foot truck that I rented previously. I complained about it and it went to the complaints department who is supposed to get back to me about it and guess what they never did. U-Haul has the benefit of being almost the only place to rent a truck and therefore can treat their customers poorly. My name is Larry Johnson my phone number is 519-560-0327. The truck that I did pick up in Kingsville had dirty blankets and pillows in it it was left disgustingly dirty inside and out.

U-haul has given me hardest time for moving. I had received non-rentable u-haul in which Air Condition is not working and has engine heating issue. Why would you gave this truck when you guys were aware that I had to drive 400+ kms. I drove from Kingsville to Windsor to Etobicoke. Horrible driving experience, Air conditioner didn’t work for entire time and outside temperature It was boiling hot. Exhausting driving entire road because we had to let windows open for 100 km/hr speed for almost 4.5 hour driving. Called to customer care to request for help, they told to call road assistance. Called road assistance and they didn’t pick up the call and after tiring efforts drove non-rentable U-haul truck in 35 c degree hot temperatures. This is not what I expected when I have paid for $370 for 24 hour service. U-haul has used me to get their non rentable truck from Windsor to Etobicoke so that they can fix the truck, I wish they would have cared for customer first then earning more money.

The clerk was puzzled at an additional $31 fuel charge slapped on my account for no reason (I refuelled as requested before returning it) but he couldn't reverse the fee. I would still like that money refunded.

Reserving the trailer was a difficult process due to the online system reporting the trailer as not available though it was on site, with no other reservations. The staff tried, but the rental required repeated returns to the store to complete the process.

ITs nt Tina fault or kings fault but I waited over an hour in an because uhaul system wasn’t working properly . I rented a 15 foot received a 10 foot and arrived 945 as I was told would be ready by then and didn’t get out of there until 11:00am . Uhaul System not workin computer . Uhaul help line phoned and no help at all. She phoned two different numbers and no one would help her or us . A secondary employee was called in to help me and I finally got my pick up .

It’s a convenient location for county residents close to Kingsville. I will certainly rent from them again. Staff were friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. The truck was ready when I arrived and it only took a few minutes to process the paperwork and I was on my way.

My reservation wasn’t on file. The regional uhaul manager called me the next day asking me if I had returned the truck which I had the day before. He then told me that for some reason neither system was showing up a reservation and makes it look like the truck the stolen. Then he told me I needed to pay an extra $5.65 environmental fee (which I had already paid online) in order to close out the account and if it isn’t paid I would be sent to collections. Which makes no sense because he just told me he couldn’t see a confirmed reservation. When asked if he was going to reimburse me the 5.65 he was hesitant and proceeded to tell me “it’s only $5”. When telling him that isn’t the point this is the company’s problem not mine because the truck has been paid for, returned, and refueled and asked him for the company to pay for it he said he couldn’t. I highly do not recommend uhaul or paying online.

your mileage rate is simply, not attractive. n my opinion, some of us pay for abusive drivers, as they drive like is the end of the world. Damage to the outer structure is another indication. Too many drawbacks to now factor into using your service. I found that I can hire a driver/helper for 300 /day inclisive of 100 km. The convenience store lady was cordial, even though she was minding the cash register and accepting a dairy shipment, so it took 30 minutes to complete the return. My Son rented U Haul the same day in Etobicke, He was blatantly lied to by the rep and had to scramble to find a truck in Scarborough. 2.5 hrs late, lost his window time for the condo elevator. U Haul ineptitude is obvious, just offering a credit for free kms, didnt make a dent in the chaos created by...your representatives. True Story.Maybe Enterprise should buy you?
