We had a horrible experience renting this vehicle. When we arrived to our first location the owners of the storage facility said they've never even rented anything other than pick-ups. Then, U-Haul sent us to another location (a feed store about 12 miles away) and they said they've never rented U-Haul vehicles, at all. Finally, we ended up at this location (Kody Food Mart) after driving around Ocala to two (2) other locations. Everything was booked online and the experience was not a good one.

First I rented online for 8am, received email confirming all the details with instructions to follow when I went to location to pick up with my mobile phone because location will not be open till 10am. The day before I receive a call that this location does not offer mobile pick up, to either pick up somewhere else (was going to cost me more money becase of the miles) or cancel. I got to location at 10am and the person arrived at 10:20am

Gainseville Fla would not allow one way rentals. Had to drive 1 hour to pick up a much larger than required unit. Frustrating.

The attendant was very slow and more concerned with servicing the customers in the gas station than assisting me. It took about 20 minutes for him to complete the paperwork even though i did the online check in. After complete, he said I can go around back and pick it up. He did not assist. The area where the trailer was parked was not a good area. When I lifted the trailer to hook it up a man (that had been living in it) stumbled out of the back of the trailer. He was intoxicated and confused. There was trash front he man left in the trailer and it smelled awful. I left in a hurry and had to clean and wash it out when I got home. I was not happy with the conditions at all, especially with a pregnant wife in the car with me.

We dropped off 7/2 at 10pm as he was closing, we watched him leave, so we had to come back the next morning, since due date was 7/3 at 8 am. He was not there and the worker would not check us in because she did not know how. She called him, he said we had to take the trailer and truck apart and around back or he would refuse to check us in. We should have just left it parked blocking his business, but we did not, we parked where he asked. If he's going to accept uhaul he needs to train his workers. His bullshit caused us a lot of time and hassle.

I arrived a few minutes early to find nobody there to help OR speak English!!! It took OVER AN HOUR for someone to arrive-and then despite I had done express check in-it still took forever! I’ve used uhaul b4 & never had problems like this-it’s a convient store-they insisted on waiting on other people despite the fact I had been there waiting! This place needs to loose their UHAUL privileges!!

1. have someone IN the store that knows how to complete the transaction. Thankfully, Wendy, from the rental site, was able to help. 2. back of truck was not locked up... there was a person sleeping in it.. had to tell him to leave. NOT a good day for a rental, I guess.

Reservation set for wrong weekend. Had to travel across town to get a truck. Truck wasn't cleaned out, cab or box. Tires out of balance on truck. Original reservation was at another uhaul location on 441 and US27.

Owner assured vehicle was rented for 24: hours. Returned it within time frame, lost $100 deposit, lost over estimated mileagevand charged a $25 late fee on vehicle. Pretty much a con job all around. Would never use this vendor again.

my pickup location was changed. the trailer I ordered was not there, the trailer that I was given was dirty potato chips on the floor, and no one to help hook up the trailer check the lights or check for damage.

U-haul should reimburse customers for unused gas put in the vehicle. I put more gas than was needed for my trip and essentially gave it away to you for free. I was a whole quarter of a tank or about $20 worth. I couldn't find any "handy" information on mileage for this vehicle. It was not listed on any of the stickers that were on the vehicle or in the paperwork I was given.

This wasn't even my original pick up location. I reserved it for another location and the person never showed up so my reservation got transferred to this location. He took over an hour to show up and he didn't know what he was doing and had to call in for help. he didn't do the check in process properly as he didn't do the "walk around" to see if there was any damage to the truck BEFORE I checked it out. I didn't think of it until after I was almost at my destination and plus it's not my job as the customer to remember all of the check out procedures. Horrible experience. And I wanted a 20ft truck and they gave me a 26ft truck which vibrated very badly when I drove it. I drove other trucks before and they never shook like this.

I have rented Uhaul trucks several times in the past. This truck had a shorter ramp than others of a 24' or 26' truck. I measured it. It was only 8' long. I don't believe this was not the proper size for this size of truck. At the end of the day we were even more worn out and tired because of the sharp incline. Also, why bother with the pre-check before arriving if all the information still has to be entered into the system? Had to wait for this and the clerk helping us was the only one at the convience store. So it took over 30 minutes to get everything done so we could leave. I did everything I could to make it simple and easy. We have moved several times over 30 years. This truck rental was the worst experience for the money. I could have gone to another dealer in town, paid more for mileage, used more of my time to get there, but I decided to go to the closest dealer.

honestly this was the worst place ever if i could i would get my money back. the guy was very rude and u couldn't understand him. put his other customers before me. trust me i sat 45 mins. before i could get the trailer. now for the return much more hell. the person didnt know what the hell she was doing sat for an hour this time than said forget this and walked out. she still has my receipt. i will put this on there web sight if they have one. i hope you can fire this business from your dealings with u hall........ never again.

Close you uhaul location ay Kody quickie mart. The people that work there do not consider uhaul a priority and your customers are suffering. They made it very clear to me that uhaul is secondary and they will stop a uhaul transaction in order to handle gas staton business. I witnessed a customer leave after being told they might have to wait 1 or 2 hours if the gas station is busy!

Reservation made by another agent, for 12:00 PM. We were told to go to actual UHaul store to confirm time actually needed (8:00 AM). Which we did. My husband physically drove to UHaul store after we called the given phone number 19 X within 2 hours. Although reservation was made by another agent we confirmed in person we needed vehicle for 8:00AM. We drove to the site at approximately 5 PM they day before. We were told by Nick, the owner of UHaul facility they opened at 7:15. We confirmed we needed an 8:00 pick up and told NO problem. We arrived at 8:09 AM and told that Nick dosent get in until 1200 zpM and that was the time our res was for. Completely unacceptable service. We will NOT use U Haul for the remainder of our services moving South. On the positive not Joe and his assist Alden from the Englewood service were so completely professional and amazing that we will recommend Any services they provide.

We went to pick our rented trailer at the reserved time of 8:30 am and was told that the person in charge of the rentals would not be in until 10:30. This time difference put our ENTIRE move off schedule. We HAVE to be in Texas by Sunday and we are now forced to change that schedule. We will NEVER use uHaul again!!!

The truck was dirty, and the windshield was full of bug splats The whole process of getting the truck took way too long even though he had all of the info needed. I would not rent from this place again. We might try a different rental co next time We rented 2 trks in May a 20ft in Ohio and the 10 in Silver Springs and this was the worst experience of all. If someone has a reservation, make sure there is someone there who knows what to do and can perform transaction. Not only when picking up, but dropoff also. Gas station owner was very rude and had no idea what to do. Had to wait almost an hour for another dealer to come from another store to give us the truck. Ian at Baseline location was great!

Truck had large amounts of grafitti all over it, since it was a brand new truck that was certainly shameful. Also the people renting the vehicle took an inordinate amount of time to process the transaction, even though I had filled in the online check in form ahead of time.

The operator at this location was about a half an hour late getting there past the pick up time I had confirmed and didn't understand how to do the express check out he started from scratch I had filled out everything online and the crew I had loading for me had to wait to start while I had to pay them for an extra hour of time for 2 men due to the delay
