The location was the best part of this experience. My U-Haul died when I was on a time crunch and when I called in a panic they answered quickly and provided assistance. The U-Haul truck however, was horrible. The inside dash was extremely dirty, and it died when I had a whole party of people helping me move at the new location. I had to wait around 2.5 hours until I was able to move in. The tow truck needed to pick it up from my old location and tow it to my new, by the time it got there it was dark and rainy. This move was already a very stressful time and having the truck die was a big inconvenience.

ALLEN SWhen returning trailer no employee or personal contact available on a Sunday. We would have appreciated knowing this information before returning trailer. (It did take 2 days to get notification that trailer was returned.) We would use this drop off site again, no problem with the location.

MORGAN SEverything went well. However, I think the MI charge is rediculous. My $19.99 rental with MI charge plus gas ended up costing me $44.11. You are already getting $19.99 for rent of a truck I only went 18 miles with and put gas back in. The MI charge seems like a rip-off!
AUDREY BOur truck had mechanical issues at pickup. We spent 3 hours running around trying to resolve. Before getting a new truck. Ratchet straps on trailer were not long enough. We had to put our own straps on.
SHELLY SThe app needs a lot of work. The UX is not good!! I had to repeatedly sign back in, it wasn't clear how to get through the additional contact screen, I couldn't return the truck properly because the app was down etc.

Gary KEverything at Koertens worked fine, with the minor exception of the combination lock on the key box (during early morning pickup), which required multiple attempts to open with the correct combination. Maybe a little lubrication would help, I'm not sure. I jiggled the dials until the clasp finally opened with some difficulty. The workers at Koertens (I met them at drop off) were very friendly, prompt, and helpful. What I am intensely dissatisfied with is the UHaul app. It failed me both times I tried to use it, once for the driver's license barcode scanner and once for repeated "GPS Location error" even though I was parked in front of the UHaul sign, adjacent to the truck I would rent. I called their 800 number, and the UHaul rep coached me to abandon the app and use a browser to access the UHaul website, and that strategy worked. So even UHaul knows their app doesn't work, yet they insist customers use it to pick up or drop off trucks after hours. I hope I don't have to use that app again.

Madeline WI currently have a dispute for the charges, I drove the truck 34 miles and put 2.25 gallons of gas in the truck and when I checked it back in I got a 13.50 gas charge. I have no idea what my bill is because the app shows no history for the last rental and I have no idea what the outcome of the dispute was/is yet. Also, the wiper blade on the truck was broken and the windshield full of bugs. I tried using the wipers and it was hard to drive for a bit until the windshield cleared up a bit.
JEREMY TPerson at pick up set up my drop off as "Not sure yet" so I'd be allowed to pick a drop off whenever I wanted. 2 hours later while I was at a funeral (since I didn't get to move when I wanted becuase of Uhaul errors prior) they automatically update the drop off to this location. Thankfully it wasn't too far from where I moved and was easy to find and drop the truck off.
Nathan KThe U-Haul was initially reserved for the wrong date so I had to call and correct that. It also took about 20 minutes to complete the online check-in this morning because a built in pop-up during the check in process made it so that I couldn't scan the back of my driver's license. Then I took a picture of it manually 4-6 times and it would not register the picture. Setting me back for a business obligation.

Annette KMy only issue with my return is that my rental wasn’t checked in for a few days after I returned. For this reason I wasn’t sure if UHaul would charge me extra days or not. They didn’t, so it all worked out well but until I had that receipt I wasn’t sure if it would be an issue.

Mouachi TUpdate your system so that it can be more compatible with all cell phone types. I had to enter the same exact information more than 6 times in order to get it to go through. That was a joke, if I did need the truck so desperately I would have just canceled my reservation and gone a different rental company.

Veronica HThe person helping me at the drop off location was not authorized to correct the mileage error from the pick up location. There was a difference of 700 miles that could have potentially been charged to my credit card. My options were to either wait for as long as an hour to see if she could get someone to change the mileage in the system, or leave without a receipt. I opted to leave as I was on a limited time schedule. It was not feasible to wait that long. Throughout this whole truck rental fiasco there was one system failure, or human error, after the other from pick up locations and times, to drop off miles and proof of fuel levels. I took it up on myself to take pictures for proof as I suspected that there might be these kinds of issues. If Uhaul insists on being completely electronic and paperless...figure out how to make it work so the customer isn't inconvenienced. I did a lot of the work myself but your customer service reps got paid...I didn't! After this experience, I hope it's a long time before I need to rent a truck again.

Parker JI had to pick the trailer up at The Truckshop USA on Hoover and Ken was very difficult to work with and had extrememly poor customer service. Shauna at Kortens had the unit transfered to them and personally came over to hook it up. From the beggining she went the extra mile(s)!
