The truck was up to park, but they don't sell any of the equipment that's listed on the Uhaul site. No pads, no tape, no nothing, just a Truck. You'd think they'd have sparce offerings, but there are no other offerings.

Jeffrey MThe person who handled our transaction was unprofessional. He would make me wait, while he attended to other customers, even they came in the line later. The vehicle was filthy and smelled of cigarettes. We asked him about it and his reply was someone had just dropped the vehicle off. We asked him to explain the charges and he replied your receipt has been emailed. I would say Henry was very unprofessional. I will not get another vehicle from there again

Gordon HThe gentleman I picked the truck up from was not polite but that was the least of the issues. I spent $125 to fill up the truck the night before I was moving. Less than 25 miles later, the fuel tank dropped below 3/4 tank. I was hoping it was a fluke but it happened again after I spent another $100. The check engine light was on and it smelt like fuel. I called U-Haul to let them know and the girl did offer to have someone meet me for roadside assistance but I told her the truck was packed full so I needed to hope I made it to my destination safely. I have requested a Regional Manager call me. I know uHauls aren’t gas friendly but a total of almost $300 on fuel is outrageous and I think something is wrong with the truck. Recommended the return site not loan it out until checked
Stacey SI rented the truck as one way from La Mesa to El Cajon and it was refused at the El Cajon location. I did not receive support to correct the matter and had to pay extra miles and gas to return it to the original location I rented it from which was a total waste of gas and money. Next time I’ll use Home Depot for better customer service. Staff were not helpful from online services, telephone or at counter of rental and drop off locations. Miserable expetience

Joseph JI had a very frustrating experience renting this truck. The person helping me was completely unhelpful—he simply handed me the keys and told me to follow the instructions on the app. When I asked questions, he just repeated that everything I needed was in the app and never even showed me which truck was mine. On top of that, the fuel gauge was faulty. When I went to return the truck, I tried to add enough gas to bring it back to the same level—just above 1/4 of a tank—but the gauge wouldn’t move past 1/4, no matter how many times I stopped, restarted the engine, and added more fuel. Suddenly, after putting in about 14 gallons, the gauge jumped above the halfway mark. Because of this, I ended up paying for far more fuel than I actually used—at least an extra $40. It felt as though this issue might be deliberate or, at the very least, a known problem that wasn’t fixed. Either way, it’s unacceptable. Between the lack of proper customer service and the faulty truck gauge, I definitely would not recommend renting here again.

Mike SVehicle was empty with open fuel cap when received, HOWEVER Customer Representative was excellent in responding to my concerns. 10/10 for efficient and effective follow-up and resolution. Equipment was a bit old (over 100k miles) but everything worked as expected. I paid what I expected and the whole collection and return was seamless using the mobile APP.

WILLIAM MThe turn in process is redundant and tedious. Not having the ability to turn it it when being in person is absolutely insane. I hated every part of the turn in process. After a long day of moving the last thing I want to do is have to deal with an app when I'm already in person.
Chris MTruck requires some mechanical work. Ordered a dolly and not available… u haul should not offer as an option if the item is not available and do maintenance checks in vehicles.
Paula ETHe truck was dirty. The floor mats had a lot of dirt. THe electronic experience was terrible. THe staff trying to check me out were good, but we struggled. I rent a lot of U-Hual trucks. It usually goes well. Self Checkout never works for me, but the reservation system usually works for me.
WILLIAM MThe woman was very nice and helpful. The back of the truck, however, was very dirty; appeared that drywall was hauled in it and wasn't at all cleaned. Other than that, the truck worked well. Thank you!
Jonathan MPricing is worthless. Website said $60 and I ended up paying $120. I drove 15 miles. Did not utilize the insurance I purchased. And used less than 1/8 of a tank of gas. I wouldn’t recommend U-HAUL even if it’s the only place available. I booked it because it was price friendly, but somehow paid twice as much as what I thought I would and was told I would. Just another company trying to squeeze every penny they can out of you.

Gary EUhaul renters are second class citizens. Pushed aside for those purchasing gasoline. The left front turn signal bulb is burnt out (not working). I didn't have the opportunity to tell the clerk, because I was rushed through. My brother had recommended this location to me. He has had positive experiences in the past. I am not writing off this location, I may have just arrived on a bad day.

CHELSEA HInside of UHaul was filthy, wreaked of cigarettes, and tank had 1/4 of a tank of gas but I had to fill it up to a half a tank upon return.
Roy WWhen I picked up the truck, there was no gas and I had to spend $20. When I got home with the truck and put boxes in it, it said that the tire was low on air so I had to get out my air compressor and fill the tire. I returned the truck the same day within a few hours and it said it had low air again. The gas tank had a quarter tank when I returned it. I returned the equipment early, but was contacted the next day saying I never returned the equipment by the same person that accepted the equipment the day before. He also told me my card was declined and I called my bank with him on the line and my bank told me that there are no declines and that the charge was completed the day before. It was a very stressful situation and it should not have been that way at all during the stressful move. I will not rent a U-Haul from this location again.
