My experience at the Kincardine location was absolutely terrible. My pickup was scheduled for 8:00am, the owner did not show up until 8:30am and was very unapologetic. The U-Haul was covered in a foot or more of snow and a huge berm was infront of the truck. The owner looked at me and said “I probly can’t get it out…not really my problem”. I did not leave the location until almost 9:30am, I had movers at my house for 8:30am. Very bad business, the U-Haul should be ready to go for the pickup time. I will never recommend the Kincardine location to anyone. I have used U-Haul before and had very good service but the kincardine location should be shut down or given to someone who cares about people. The owner would not speak to me when I dropped it off, all did was wave his hand at me to leave. Terrible experience.

It would be nice if the store owner didn't try to make me sound like a liar about the fuel in the truck when returning the truck with the exact same fuel level that it had when I picked it up. Also would be nice if they spoke proper English.

I rented a 4x8 trailer. The trailer was clean, but both tire pressures were very low. I usually don't check, but decided to check while I was checking my cars pressure before a long trip. One tire was at 28psi and the other at 32psi, less than half of the trailer nameplate 65psi cold setting.

The staff were friendly and eager to rent the equipment but they had absolutely no idea what they were doing. The whole experience was so totally confusing. The only reason I continue to use this location is because it is the only dealer within 50 km.

The person working was very apologetic, as he was standing in for somebody and had never handled a rental before. It went back and fall with a person on the phone the whole incident took a very long time 30 to 45 min I felt bad for this poor guy he was not trained and in my opinion should not have been left alone without training, then I had to ask a person from the neighbouring hotel to help me hitch the trailer onto my truck as it was very heavy. The person working in the store did come out and verity it was hooked up correctly. I would not use this location again.

The previous renter did not fill the gas up to 3/4 full. When I noticed, I had already driven away so we had to put extra full in it. We were not happy about that. Otherwise truck was good.

I ordered a 10 ft truck a month and a half ago was told I pick up in goderich which was 10 mins from where I was the day before I callled to confirm truck and was told I have to go to Kincardine to pick up a 15 ft because that’s all that’s available that was an hour drive each way plus mileage and not what I ordered what is the point of booking a truck if you don’t follow through . Was told by the manager in Kincardine to put the gas to 1/4 even though it was less I should have gotten a better deal they knocked 20 bucks off not happy with the whole experience would not recommend

My reserved trailer was not available when I arrived however the gentleman that owned the store was very helpful and attempted to contact the customer who did not return the trailer. And ended up offering me a different trailer. Not ideal but It worked.

Don't change the location for the pick up 1 day before. It was very frustrating to drive 2 h away from my house just because you can't be a serious company. It is the second time you do this to us. And it will be the last one. We won't return to you guys and I will tell everyone your very poor performance as a company. It can't be possible that the reservation doesn't guarantee the truck. Very very disappointing service

I ordered a 15ft truck and they didn't have one so upgraded me to a 26ft Truck which was great but i didn't get a break on fuel mileage,very costly !!!

I know it is just a gas station but the attendant didn’t seem to know much about the process. He was the only employee there at the time and was semi-busy with other customers. I ended up doing the return of the truck myself completely online which was super slick.

Horrific experience. I made this reservation 3 weeks ago and the day before the move my pickup location was changed which added an extra hour. The truck was dirty in the back and had garbage in the front. Then the gas light turned on immediately. Also, I received a message that my drop off location was abruptly changed adding more stress to the move. I don’t understand why I booked this 3 weeks ago if everything got changed last minute. Unless I receive some sort of compensation I will never use this service again as I have another move planned in 8 months.

We'll, it's funny. My husband doesn't care for country music, and said his whole trip, that was all he got on the radio. Me I am a fan of country music, so I couldn't help laugh at the fact. The truck came from Arizona, that said the tires on the truck, don't do well here in December weather, that as a dealer should be considered a safety issue. Overall, we would recommend U-Haul.

interiror of truck box was dirty and the two fellows who managed the place were not sociable at all nor accommodating at all. They were very interested in grabbing my money but not much else. They made uhaul look poorly in my eyes

There were live cockroaches scurrying around in the moms attic of the truck, and it was filthy. I had an awful experience with the owner of this location and he was apathetic and refused to help me out until I called U-Haul and got a different truck. I had a moving company on the clock and this guy made me waste an hour and a half and hundreds of dollars as a result, and he was difficult and rude the entire way. Never using U-Haul again if I don’t get compensated fairly.

Rented a large truck several months ago to go to the same location and had it for 2 days. Had a small truck this time and went to the same location same distance, had the truck for 3 hours and was charged more than the first rental. Questionable!!!!!!!!!! Annoyed!!!!!!!

I could have used help hitching and unhitching. I rented the biggest enclosed trailer and the hitch is very heavy for an old man to lift on and off the car. These trailers need a front stand with a wheel to help move the whole thing to align it.

While not this locations fault, I reserved a 6x12 unit from Port Elgin 2 weeks earlier. At the time the 6x12 trailer was available. The day prior to rental pickup I was notified the unit was no longer available and the nearest location for the size was in Owen Sound. Approximately 1 hour plus further drive. Apparently, using the reservation system isn’t worth the time. I had to accept a smaller size from a closer location.
