Clearer instructions letting customers know online pickup is necessary, it takes a considerable amount of time, and the process can be confusing. Watched a customer walk away because no physical person was present when the location hours said it was open.

Location’s hours on U-Haul website indicated it was open. I arrived to pick up the trailer and it was closed. Thankfully, I was able to complete the pickup through the app. Later that night I got a text saying my reservation was canceled. I called U-Haul customer service since the trailer was rented, used, and delivered per reservation. I was berated by the agent saying you can’t pick up trailers through the app.
