The woman at the desk didn't know how to approve our rental. We waited quite a long time for someone on the phone. Then the truck was parked elsewhere, which was also a hassle. It would be better to be able to do an online check in at this place.Bernie M.

The car was clean but had some equipment in it that I did not order or need and was just taking up space. Unfortunately I could not leave it at the pick up location. It took 15 minutes to get the keys, even though there was no other customer, as apparently there was some kind of issue with the online system.Julia H.

This one wasn't Also it was very lengthy in booking My son booked online & then it wasn't on the computer when we went to place of pick up so had to redo Then it wouldn't let us check out because it said we were putting in the wrong mileage which we weren't. They actually had us starting out at a way higher mileage My son & his friends had plans for a certain time that should have been attainable to attend but because of the lengthy check in & check out they missed their event Was my worst experience so far with UHaul & I've rented a few timesColleen A.

Very convenient picking up and dropping off truck. Was charged $5 for Safe Trip which I did not want for a 5 km trip. Paid for a furniture dolly, but none was available and truck comes with a 2-wheel hand truck and a few moving pads. Notes: (1) Take a photo of gas gauge with engine running (goes to E when shut off and takes a while to stabilize when starting up). (2) Service Airbag warning blocks odometer display when engine is running. To record it, turn engine off and open door, then take a video - photo of odometer does not work).Joseph B.

Unable to get an accurate mileage reading as "service air bag light" kept flashing over the odometer. Also, I feel I was over charged for fuel. I put gas in the truck before I returned it, but if you do not rent your vehicles full of gas then it is very hard to gage how much was used. I suspect this is a money making scheme for you.Bob G.
Uhaul put the wrong dolly in the back of the truck because they didnt have the one I ordered and didnt bother to tell me. I only found out when we picked up the truck. The man at the pick up location store lended us his personal dolly and was very friendly and we were very thankful for him! The moving blankets were soaking wet and dirty in the back of the truck when we picked it up, but we had our own anyways. Other than that, the truck did what we needed it to do.Daniel O.

The U-Haul was almost on empty due to the gas shortage but they gave me the full fuel rebate after bring it back with a quarter tank! This U-Haul was a life saver and would recommend :DJordan M.

Had long wait at counter while he served store customers and waited for his computer ( which was very slow!!). It was frustrating to start then be interrupted to ring up a store purchase. Get this man a newer computer! We should have been told to go at least 15 mins. early, it cut into our time.Laura H.

Clean out the front area of the truck between people - there was food wrappers and napkins in the front. We are currently dealing with a pandemic, would be nice to have a little trust that its been somewhat cleaned before i get into it. So much trouble trying to just pick up the u-haul. I placed order of dolly with vehicle rental, but didn't get the dolly when picked up vehicle. I wasn't advised this location doesn't have dolly by any form. The vehicle wasn't ready for me, instead, I had to search for the vehicle in a nearby parking lot with the minimum instruction. The vehicle return process was also painful. The only staff available when I returned vehicle is the cashier of the grocery store who doesn't know how to assist me complete the return. And I was charged for the use of dolly I didn't even have. I had to make two follow up phone call with customer service to fix up everything. I will use U-hual service in future but definitely not at this location.Tingting Q.
Mobile pickup says to proceed to little gem on Simcoe St, but the vehicle is parked in a lot a few blocks away. When I arrived at the vehicle the web app said to go â€œinsideâ€ for the key... this means inside the little gem which you are no longer near. Staff at little gem are totally unfamiliar with rental process. I walked back and forth from little gem to the lot 3 times in order to complete the pickup/return process.David H.
The Uhaul dealer was pleasant and helpful. However, I was not happy that we had to go far out of our way to pickup the truck when the Uhaul location we had booked for pickup weeks in advance supposedly did not have our truck and yet when we drove past it there were lots of trucks there!Patricia G.
Beware for Uhaul. I never write these kind of comments, but for the second time in a row, Uhaul completely messed my day up. Last time they changed the pick up adress without notification. So when I arrived there, there was no car and no personel to inform me. Had to find out myself what to do, because they are not available on the phone. Today, after going through the whole online application they sent me a confirmation with a non existent Uhaul pick up adres in victora BC...Jacob V.
The guy did not have a clue how to rend out a uhaul truck.. I had to do it for him. He did not print me off a receipt so by the time I got the email receipt I noticed the gas was not filled as much as the receipt said it was. If I had had the receipt I would have checked this before leaving. There was also 3 parking tickets on the van when I picked it up which was 3 blocks from where I rented it. Not a good place to rent uhaul's from.Jan T.

The employee here was very pleasant, however he does not work for UHaul. It would be helpful to have the workers at this location more thoroughly trained on the new online Uhaul system. It took longer than expected to go through the rental process as the Uhaul online self check-in was not properly communicating with the employees computer system. We also requested a furniture dolly, which the booking representative said would be no problem. However, when we went to pick up our UHaul in this location, there were no dollies. Thus, we had to carry and load two very heavy couches by hand. Please make all materials available at the small pickup areas that would be available at a proper Uhaul Centre.Chris S.

The man ho was running it had not clue what was going on & would not allow my mom to pick up the vehicle for me while I was at work. I had called well in advance to make sure that she could, yet it took over a hour & a half to get in the vehicle. Very inconvenient.Samantha V.
My original quote was 20 cents per km. My van was overbooked at the location I requested so I was forced to switch locations, bumping my rate to 59 cents per km. Then when I signed in online to pick up the van it went up again to 90 cents per km. The van was not full of gas when I started so I ended up over gassing it before dropping it off. For 4 hours it cost me over $100. The gentleman at the second location was not helpful at all and I had no idea where to go to get the van. Quite an upsetting experience since I've used Uhaul before and never had any issues. Hopefully moving forward you can be more upfront with your pricing and information.nicole F.

You do not actually pick it up at the Little Gem. This is misleading. You pick it up at the parking lot. That was confusing. Now I know!I thought I would just go to the Little Gem and it would be there; Instead it took me half an hour to get it figured out how to do it online.Lenore H.
