I lived in the Bay Area, which is 161 miles from this pick up spot. I had to drive to this location and pick up the trialer. We needed to be there by 4 p.m., but because of traffic and getting lost, we didn't get there until after 5 p.m. Fortunately, the lady in charge stayed open until we could get thee. We did not get home until 11 p.m. that night. It was very stressful. U haul could have arranged for the trailer to be delivered to a location closer to my home.

First, I want to say that the customer service at Lock and Leave in Dinuba was well above average. The women there were fast, friendly and helpful, and even brought us cold water as we loaded the trailer in the heat. The location, however, was WELL out of the way for us in Hanford and the direction we were driving. We were given an extra 50 miles, but of course not reimbursed for the TIME and the FUEL (the truck averaged 9.0mpg) it took to go out of the way. The truck was well used and showed damage on the exterior, but was clean on the interior. The auto transport trailer straps were frayed and difficult to use. I don't feel that the truck was meant to tow/haul the weight it claims it can. We overheated in the Mohave Desert and had to pull over to allow the truck to cool and stop leaking transmission fluid. Also, the trailer stop/turn fuze blew and we had to go to a uhaul location to get it fixed. This trip started off very rough, required a lot of work and sweat. I recommend that U-haul work harder at ensuring rental equipment is available at the location requested. We made the reservation on a Sunday, called to confirm the equipment would be available on Monday, and was told on Thursday (the day before the move) that the equipment was NOT available and that we would have to go over an hour out of our way to pick it up. This was very disappointing.

Associate be polite to the client and have better social skills. Moving is stressful as it is and some times customers don't have a way of moving but having to rent a trailer. Be respectful and talk about all the charges before doing a second charge to the clients card in case they get charged fees for not having the funds on that account and causing more stress to there day living them to figure out so repay something unexpected on top the second charge they went to go pay cash for. People pay cash so they dont charge your card what ever they want.

We had a moving crew set up to move my mother. She is located 300 miles from us. The lady working the office showed up 35 minutes late. We had to pay the moving crew to stand around and do nothing for 35 minutes. After I got the truck, the check engine light came on after 10 miles of leaving the rental location. I checked all fluid levels in the engine, they were fine. The check engine light stayed on the entire 300 mile trip.

It's frustrating that after the countless times I've used Uhaul, you do not offer discounts. You are extremely over priced and take advantage of people who have no other choices. Nothing against the location listed.

Maybe bring the trailer up to front so didn't have to go to back of storage to get it. Otherwise, the service is excellent...Tina rocks

I turn in my vehicle rental a night before i what's not notification to seven pm the next day on the 25th. Versus getting a notification at 9 AM in the morning on the 25th I have to call twice to confirm that the vehicle was returned and everything looks OK then the customer service send me a email confirming that

It seems if the lock and leave logo communicates your branding having to park the uhaul across the street holding the renter liable versus establishing a parking lot for lock n leave making more sense where cameras could document drop off. utilizing city property as parking drop off and placing all vandalism liability on the city and customer is not good business. it worked out

The reservation person on the phone said I could show up in 10 minutes. When I got to the location, the sign on the door said gone to lunch for another 30 minutes. There was a disconnect between the reservation person (obviously not at the actual location) vs. the persona at the actual location. I was very disapointed to have to wait for 30 minutes. When I callled customer service (while waiting the 30 minutes), I was transfered to "corpporate" (being told they could handle the compiant). Corporate then told me I had to make my compiant online. ;( Next time: Penske!

Uhaul was way to expensive to rent for a hour. The truck i wanted and the location weren't available. I requested one located and they sent me to another. Online price per milage i ordered and when they made me go to location it was way more expensive. Will never rent a truck ever again

I was not sure if I was to leave the contract in the orange box. I was told to drop the key in box a the time I returned the truck. YES. the orange box did have a contract slot but again I was not sure. The customer should be told. THANK YOU.

The truck was rented out with safety issues. The AC did not work. The white wheels were black with brake dust preventing us from being able to see if there were any axle, bearing leaks or issues.
