JOHN DWhen I hooked up the trailer, I had to do it alone, which isn't necessarily a big deal. The issue was that the tongue was on the ground, since u haul trailers don't have tongue jacks. In the future, it would be best if customers had a hand with connecting.

RAYMOND AThe back of the truck was FILTHY. Dirt, leaves, broken dish pieces and other debris all over the floor. When I return a truck the floor is ALWAYS mopped out. The gas gauge was less than 1/4 but the paperwork said it was on 1/4 so I returned it the same way. We traveled just over 100 miles and I put $80 worth of gas in it
Gary BThe staff at the Lockhart Location in Summerside were incredibly rude, not helpful and dismissive. I was scheduled to pick up the U-Haul at 7 am, but there was no one to assist me at that time since the location was closed, despite having confirmation for pick-up time at 7 am. I was told to wait until staff arrived, at which point they told me my only option was to pay for a larger truck. I received no apology for the inconvenience; they were very abrasive and rude while interacting with me and were very unprofessional. I was also overcharged for gas. This was a horrible experience, and I will not rent from that location again. However, the telephone staff from U-Haul were great! Very friendly service!
JAYDEN DDirty junk yard, guy complained about putting u haul in wrong spot and took a long time to process everything. Scrap metal, cars junk everywhere
TRAVIS MWrong gas amount put on the slip to me and had to ho back in and ask them to check and Correct for me. It was marked as a half tank and it was a Quarter. The back of the truck the floor was covered in dust wasn't cleaned. And my driver and brother had to clean the truck off of snow as it wasn't don't nor did anyone remove it frome the place it was parked.. we were given a key inside the shop and told to get it.
NATHAN RBe clear and don't give pick up options when there aren't any. I had to go here because where I requested it there wasn't one, so why do they give you a choice? They did not help me to place the Dolly, my husband and I had to put it as best we could in the truck, the Dolly was in bad condition, the lights did not work and the truck used a lot of gasoline, poor experience ever

SHIRLEY VSpeed up your computer system, it must be really frustrating for your customer service people at the pick up garage, to have to sit and wait, at pick up and drop off.
JOHN MGuarantee that the location booked online is actually available for the truck & equipment booked. What a terrible experience! What is the point in booking online when what you’ve ordered isn’t guaranteed to be available when you need it?! What a joke!! I was sent all over the countryside to find the dollies & pads that were supposed to be at the location I ordered the truck at. They wanted me to drive 1 1/2hrs one way to pick them up & acted like it was no big deal?? If I didn’t stop in to try to change the time of pick up, I wouldn’t have had a truck either!
EMILY KWhen I ordered this vehicle I asked for it to be picked up in Kensington PEI and was told the only one available for my date would have to be picked up in Summerside PEI which I agreed to. I also specifically requested a furniture dolly a utility dolly and 10 furniture pads which I was told the morning of pickup in Summerside wasn’t available at this location. These items were crucial for the moving I was doing and had to be sourced elsewhere which was unacceptable. The truck when I picked it up was filthy on the inside which had to be swept and cleaned before loading my furniture. U-Haul failed to meet my requests and I will definitely be hesitant to use there services again.
KEVIN SI was totally satisfied with the customer service received and with the uhaul - was able to pick it up earlier than I planned and was able to keep it an extra day which really helped a lot. I will definitely recommend Lockharts.

PAUL MThey were not prepared when we arrived. They could not find our reservation number. No one there spoke english as well, so it was a big hassle. we spent over 30 minutes trying to pick up our uhaul. Then when we returned it, they charged to charge us double to price (1000+ $) and threatened to take us to collections if we didn't pay.They froze my spouses credit card. So we called u haul and paid the correct price, then had to call the location and give the receipt. When we got the u haul, it was almost empty on gas. Awful experience. Uhaul really helped us over the phone trying to deal with this location.

EDMOND GThe gas gauge lit up before I left the compound I literally had to fuel it up at their gas station, but the paperwork said the truck had a 1/4 tank in it. The cargo area was dirty no mention of the broken wooden slate (tie down or safety bumper inside the cargo box). I have pictures to prove it.

Jonathan VEverything seemed fine until I decided to do a after hours drop off. We know we put enough gas in it but didn't think to take a picture of the gas guage. Got charged extra because we were told there was not enough gas in it. Talked to Uhaul support and they basically said that because we didn't have proof that we were stuck with the extra cost. Will never do an after hours drop off again, I have rented lots of U-Haul and never had a problem until this time.

James LI asked if l rent a trailer to travel from PEI to Ontario for extra days in case of any incentials would l be refunded if extra days not used..l was advised yes. I returned the trailer earlier and contacted Uhaul for the refund and they would not refund me l am not to happy.

Pat OMade reservation for 7:00am the gas station only opens at 8:00am paid in full with the reservation online but had to redo all those steps once I was there to get the truck! What’s the point of the online reservation if I’m going to redo the steps again! And once I returned the truck an hour later they they wanted more money! I said it’s paid in full and I reserved for 3 hours and used it for less than that and only drove not even one kilometre and added gas! He said I owed $63 I said no I paid in full online I don’t owe you nothing.

PAUL MThe drop off location is very shady in appearance. The people inside were not very inviting. Just kind of left me standing in the shop... Employees in and out talking in a different language... Gave me no info on how I turn the truck in... Then one person took the key from me and drove the truck into the side yard... Then the guy sitting behind the counter just said ok, you will get an email from uhaul... That was it... No info if I was going to be charged anything extra, no info if I was turning the truck back in, in good condition nothing.. I left feeling worried that I was going to be in a bad situation and not very confident that my rental agreement was ending well.... I have yet to receive the email he said I was getting... Im now just kind of watching my cc to see if I bought a U-Haul or something.... It's a very stressful feeling as we are already a bit out of sorts as we just moved across the east coast of Canada.....
Chad RThe staff were busy running a garage and gas pumps. The parking lot for trucks is a mud field. Used it because it was close to destination.

Adnane BWe were once charged a fee to clean truck out and have the back step pressure washed. I already MOPPED the truck out and what was on the back step was a paste which washed away that night in the rain. The young guy that checked me out of Lockharts was rude and very UNprofessional to say the least. We have requested that we don't pick up any more trucks there in the future, we would rather travel to Kensington to pick up a truck, but Uhaul keeps sending us back there. This last rental we used, we picked up from Lockharts again and returned it there as well. While I was being checked out the guy serving me was doing fine until someone else came in. He then directed all his efforts to talking to the new customers leaving me standing there waiting, he even walked out of the shop to look at something with their car I would NOT recommend anyone go to rent a truck there

Tristan ZBetter customer service they cancelled our order on truck rental we found out when we we went into see if they could change truck size guy said there was no booking but we had a confirmation number on the truck we did get a truck but a hassle they are rude and they didn’t even have the paper to wrap your dishes said they didn’t even sell it need to get there act together. Would not recommend that office for a truck rental
