Jack Mit was closed when I dropped off the truck on Easter Sunday. I'm glad they took the time to celebrate the resurrection.
tammy rWait for service was too long (37minutes). Truck mats had food all over not clean. Gas information was incorrect so had to spend 10 more minutes to correct it. Truck had panel in back that caught all furniture feet when loading..also tripping hazard because it is in middle of truckbed. Also link for pictures never worked everything had to be done manually.
Gerald TVery helpful! Lord knows the last thing I want is to move or move other people. In the past, I have used U-Haul, a car hauler, a box trailer, a 24-foot truck, a 20-foot truck, and now a 15-foot truck and have had great experiences every time—other than having to move!
MARK RThe only problem I had was filling back up. The gauge didn’t move until I had already put $35 in it and it stayed below the half a quarter mark and then after it shot up all the way to more than half a tank. I wanted to see if I could get a reimbursement for the extra gas that was put in

Joseph GTruck I was issued was from another location. Windshield wiper were wore out which wasn’t a problem until we ran into snow. There was a high pitch squealing from the right side tire well. May need a break job.
Charles YWhen scheduling, this location shows you can pick up the U Haul as early as 6am. I scheduled it for 7:30am. When I arrived, I went through the process to obtain my keys and it charged my card. It then told me to head inside to grab the keys to my U Haul. The store was closed and didn’t open till 9am!! I called customer support and they basically said you’ll just have to wait for them to open or cancel your rental. I don’t know why they allow you to schedule a pick up time that early if you can’t even get the keys till the store opens. The trucks all say 24/7 ride share. It’s a lie and screwed up all of our moving plans.
Justin GWe ordered a 15 footer and couldn’t get one so we got a 10 footer and it was awful, it wasn’t high enough to get most of the things we needed. It didn’t fit most of our stuff. We drove 100 miles extra because this. With a 15 footer we would’ve saved money. Also the 10 footer had no ramp so we had to buy ramps. More money. Also we ordered an appliance dolly that they didn’t have when we showed up so we had to spend more money getting a strong dolly. Overall the worst moving experience I’ve had and most of it thanks to U-Haul.
Cassidy GTo clarify this location was great. My overall experience in getting the truck was horrible and U-Haul does not know how to communicate. I scheduled the original pick up at the closest dealer to my house, made the reservation online two weeks in advance and received confirmation. Event had several texts and emails reminding me of the pick-up date and time. I had to take an Uber to pick up the truck, when I arrived, they had no truck and no options for me. Had to caul U-Haul who then informed me that the closest truck was 35 miles away and it was a larger truck than what I reserved which was a concern due to the accessibility to my home. So, $100 in Uber rides later I picked up the truck and then had to drive it 45 miles back the other direction to start loading. I had to fight with the representative on the phone to give me more miles due to this location being so far out of the way, finally was able to get that. They refused to discount the truck for any inconvenience or the extra cost of gas due to the location. The dolly that i needed to execute my move was not available at this location either. The rep even commented and said yes, we should have called you because we have not had any one-way trucks in that area for a long time. Horrible planning and communication from U-Haul. Penske was more expensive when I researched pricing originally, but I will go with them next time.

ROBERT APulled up and lady came out smoking a cigarette and said I would have to back it in a spot, as she could not back a trailer. I backed it in, and no one was there to help lift off my truck. waited and waited Walked around and no one was there! Had to lift myself and strained my back bad and will be going to the doctor today. Went inside and waited at counted and when a very un-welcoming guy did show up, he didn't have a care in the world and no one came to inspect trailer, and U-Haul has no tongue jacks and no help at either location. U-Haul has put themselves in a huge liability on this rental! I would suggest someone form U-Haul corporate contact me in regards to this experience.

MARIA GI booked a reservation for 15ft close type vehicle a day before and went to a certain location in Aransas pass on Sunday and nobody was there to assist me to process the pick up. Found out the facility was close on Sunday but says online that it’s open on Sundays. Called customer service and told me to wait until they get in touch with the location operator. After 20mins still no call back from u-haul so called again and a better agent answered and got me another vehicle from other location close by and even gave me a 20footer.

Gwendolyn BUhaul does not honor customer reservations. I made a reservation for two different occasions and they didn’t have my truck upon arrival. I was prompted to drive to another town to pick up. Then I go to request a day rental and was told to drop the key in after hour box because closed at 6. I was already not feeling good when I picked up truck. And later had a seizure which unfortunately I had to keep the truck an additional day. The owner sent a rude message stating I ruined someone’s move that the truck was reserved for the next morning and that I owed them an apology. That he rented the truck on good faith. Well unfortunately things happen. And I do feel bad for the family. But my health comes first. All fingers should be pointed at the sales man. Why because that truck was reserved and shouldn’t have been rented out. Just as the same thing was done to myself twice. Reserve a truck weeks out and day before I get a call they cant get a truck. So not only have I been a victim of Uhaul not honoring their word, but the most unprofessional part of it all is because he gets upset that the truck wasn’t returned same day. The charged me for 3 days which was not accurate. They charged me 13.50 for gas. When I have a gas receipt and put it at the same level. I was charged an after hour drop fee. Which is not acceptable . His reasoning was because I left a family stuck out. Basically he thought he was going to hit me where it hurt my pockets. For me that’s bad business. You don’t over charge a customer for personal frustrations. Simple honor customer’s reservations. Instead of being greedy and trying to make a quick dollar. This may have been all avoided! Shame on Uhaul!
