We were scheduled to pick up at 9 am. When we were on our way to the location, I called to let them know that we were on our way and running a little late (about 15 minutes). The gentleman then told me that the truck was not there yet. I asked when it will be available and he said that he did not know. I asked if he could call the renter to ask when they would be on their way and he said he could do that. We showed up at LB Mini Storage and he said that he could not get a hold of the renters and did not know when they would return the truck, that it was supposed to be back already. He asked if we were going to be hanging around in town that he would let me know. We did a few errands and no call. We headed home and I called Uhaul customer service. The rep told me that it would not be available until 11am. She told me to call if any further issues. I called Los Banos mini storage to confirm that the truck would be available at 11:00 am and he said that's when it's supposed to be returned. Why didn't he tell me that earlier? When I first called LB Mini Storage, he didn't know when the truck would be available. He did call at 11:05 am when the truck got there to let me know that I can pick up. When we got there, he was a bit rude by raising his voice and yelling “only 1 person in the office at a time.” We did not see a sign on the outside door saying such. We saw it when we got in the office. Otherwise, the truck was clean and in great condition. The dolly I ordered was available, but the dozen blankets that I added to my order online was not available. He took the charge off for that. I would have liked someone to call prior to my appointment time to let me know when pick up would be instead of me picking a time and not have it available. Communication and how you communicate is important. Moving is stressful enough itself and to worry about a truck not being available added to that stress.

The pick-up location was good however U-Haul reservations leaves a lot to be desired. I reserved a trailer for pick-up in Merced CA. but was called two days before the pick-up date only to be told nothing was available in Merced and I would have to drive 40 miles to pick up a trailer. I had movers scheduled for the day of the pick-up hand had to pick up the trailer a day early. This caused me to have to pay extra at return for an extra day of rent which was not my fault. The trailer was reserved over two weeks prior to pick-up. Very terrible service and scheduling. Will not recommend U-Haul to anyone relying on reservations.

Everything was fine except for one important thing I made my reservation 4 days before I need the truck and I requested an appliance dolly. When I picked up the truck there was no appliance dolly and the gentleman who checked me out said they have no plans Deli's in the area and has no idea when they would ever find any. This was very disappointing that I could not have been told days in advance I would've expected someone in the U-Haul company to locate an appliance dolly and deliver it they have it available when I picked up the truck. I can't imagine how difficult it is to get an appliance dolly for a customer ready? And since I made the reservation 4 days in advance why couldn't someone habe notified me that there would not be an appliance dolly available for pick up? So I was not able to move the refrigerator and washer and dryer I planned to move..

It's very confusing to find this location. Not to many signs to advertise. The young gentleman was amazing. Knew his job very well. I'm upset about the fact that I returned the rental with well above what I was given it with and I'm charged money for 9 miles over. Yet the gas was well over.
