Shauna BI am so bummed because I really try my best to stay humble and be honest, so when I bring my uhaul truck back and find out they are charging me 100 miles for a move where we traveled maybe 40 miles total (multiple 2 mile trips) I am livid! Not to mention, we never used the dolly, and somehow the zip tie fell off. I had my own personal dolly that we used. There was 3 of us moving and no one would have taken it off. You would’ve literally needed a knife or scissors so the zip tie was probably already broken. That’s not the best part. The person that assisted my boyfriend with the checkin process gave him paperwork where the mileage said “174,769” and he took the picture at check in and the miles said “174,796” so they are charging me because my boyfriend didnt do their job and enter the correct miles!
VINCENT MThere was construction on the corner which made things difficult to get to the entrance but that is not the fault of the facility. Personnel was courteous and helpful. Transaction finished without a hiccup and with a friendly smile.

LENNY AI went to return the truck and I guess their having a holiday lunch from 1215 to 230. I waited till 3:08 no one came . So I left . I will be dropping off the keys the next morning . I do not want to be charge extra . I’m in the process of moving and got no time to be waiting around . Waste of time

PAULA HI had made a reservation a month in advance to pick up from the Oceanside, CA location on Coast Highway, I even went into the location a week prior to confirm that my truck reservation was still good to go and that nothing else on my end was needed, I am moving a home from CA to WA and have been planning for months. Less than 24hrs before I was to pick up the 20ft truck I had booked the Oceanside location called and told me there were no 20 ft trucks in a 50 mile radius. They said they had a 10ft truck and a trailer. (This is also on Thanksgiving that they called). The rep on the phone just kept saying “I don’t have the equipment, there’s nothing I can do.” She did not present any solutions. I had to ask where the closest 20ft truck was to me and if she could help me book it. I had to pick up the truck later than originally planned and drive 50+ miles to do so and shift my scheduled movers back by hours in order to go pick up the truck and return in time. She provided a discount for the trouble but honestly this was a terrible experience. To be told less than a day before that your move is basically derailed and on a holiday for that matter, is such a poor experience and caused an immense amount of stress. The Lake Elsinore location was kind and provided us the truck. However, the truck is faulty and about halfway through the drive the ABS sensor would come on and the anti lock breaks would trigger so for the duration of the drive 10+ hours you’d have to drive on pins and needles. The only option would be for roadside assistance to come out to take hours to either fix the truck or have to unpack and reload everything into a new truck which would cause me to miss the movers I had booked at the other end of the journey. I’ve rented from U-Haul several times before and several times even in the past month and I know my small amount spent is insignificant on the grand scale that U-Haul makes but this was one of the worst and disheartening experiences I’ve had. Moving 1300+ miles from home to home is stressful enough and this made it so much more exhausting. I’m disappointed in my experience and the lack of care.

Mariana LRenting from the U-Haul on sixth street in corona. Batteries taken and fuel. I had to go to Elsinore U-Haul for the truck. I am receiving a 50 dollar credit but I had to drive farther on my own vehicle and extra miles on the rental that I had to pay for also!

Gregory PThe office is short staffed and we had to wait a while for the "clerk" to get back to the office to help us. He then decided that it would be easier to change the rental to the designated driver instead of the person financially responsible. Unfortunately my driver did not have his id and we had to come back within 30 minutes. That time the clerk was in the office but there were 3 people in front of us and several trucks being returned. We ended up waiting over 30 minutes and closer to an hour. I was going to pick up more packing paper and the person didn't even know how to check it out, so was unable to purchase as we were using up valuable packing and moving time. Thankfully the return went much smoother. Will probably not rent from them again
donald sI was notified at 0630 on the morning of the pickup that my pickup location had changed and was 40 miles from the original location. The vehicle that I received was clean, but I discovered on the trip that it was a very unsafe vehicle. I had a blowout of one of the front tires. When I inspected the tires after the blow out, I discovered that they were bald. Absolutely no tread left. I am sure that is why every time I hit a stretch of wet pavement I had almost no stirring control. I am very fortunate that I was not KILLED!!!!

Priscilla MI was accused of using a Dolly that was broken , the gas mileage came into question, I had to show proof through photos I took. Sabastian the rep for Machado U-Haul and storage did not do walk through with me before I left the store the day I rented the truck. He tried to charge me a 3td day because he said the truck was supposed to be returned at 324 pm and it was 340. I was told the day I rented the truck that it had to be returned at 430 when U-Haul closed. I got no help from 1800 U-Haul . After I broke down in tears sabastian agreed to not charge me for the Dolly and after he confirmed my photos of the gas gage he agreed to not charge me additional. He basically called me a liar by say, “ I can’t take your word for it when I told him about the dolly, the gas . I also received the truck dirty. I immediately told sabastian BEFORE I left the premises d he said that was fine. The floor boards were covered in mud. I have pictures to prove it. Yet, I took the time to clean out the truck before I returned it. I’d like call back to discuss the service I got. 760 5289018 thank you
