I do not wish to pan this family business but a little hard to find but that may be because I'm unfamiliar with this area but overall they were well versed in their business and friendly
gerald pVery helpful and willing to help
CAROL MThe location I picked up this trailer from in Harvey, ND had the nicest older lady! A tea angel, would recommend anyone to use them for their U-Haul needs, thank you!
Ryan FDon’t understand why there was around $500 difference going from Harvey ND to Hagerstown, Md. over $900 to go to MD a little over $400 to return to ND
Margaret CSandy is a really wonderful person and I'd HIGHLY recommend them for all your uhaul rentals
CHRISTIAN BIt is all goog
jim bNothing I can think of.
RobertaA RPersonnel at this location are friendly and personable, and they will take care of your needs. They are also readily available to help. However, they are a bit older, and not able to provide much help in terms of strength. I advise bringing someone with you that has some strength. They will provide a jack to lift the trailer tongue off your hitch, so there should be no problem.
Frederick WSecond time I picked up a vehicle from this location. She is very friendly and knowledgeable.
Brad WYou purposefully ask the wrong questions: its not about the location dummies'. The women at Harvey was excellent. Hard worker! The women at U-Haul 'traffic' center in Fargo was purposefully spiteful/hateful. Just ask them in Fargo, they'll remember! Not knowing the specific details about mileage and drop off. I choose Willow Bend in Plano, TX. My condo was 10 or so miles south. After arriving at my condo I unloaded my vehicle from the vehicle carrier, drove to Willow Bend, dropped off the vehicle carrier 5pm sharp. Back to the condo for the unloading of the 20ft U-Haul truck. When I drove to drop off the 20ft U-Haul truck I was 13miles over. Harvey, ND to Minot, ND to Watford City, ND to Fargo, ND then straight to Dallas, TX. Ask 2x if you at U-Haul had allotted enough miles. When I called to ask to not be charged for the 13miles over, the women at U-Haul 'traffic' center in Fargo told me to jump. She said it was my choice to choose Willow Bend, and that had I choose a drop off south of my condo U-Haul would have allotted more miles. She insisted that it was my fault and that I should have read the contract more carefully.
Paul RVery nice and friendly service.
Mark MMacks is always very friendly.
LANCE PThe customer service was outstanding. The price for a one way was expensive though. I buried my uncle that week and it was financially rough for me. I got the job done though for my Mom. Thank you
Leif EMack’s Farm was very professional and polite and very helpful in getting my uhaul. My overall experience with uhaul was not good. My reservations were canceled twice from uhaul for lack of equipment. All uhaul could do for me was give me $50 back and an extra day I did not need. I believe I deserved more than that considering I have to waste my gas money to drive 75 miles just to get a uhaul.
tarrah lMrs. Mack was absolutely fantastic. Very welcoming and knowledgeable with any question we had. The truck drove and performed great. I will send anyone looking for assistance her way. Thank you!
Brad wExcellent service.
Kevin SExcellent service.
Kevin SDid not like the fact that I had to drive to this location to pick up a trailer. None were available close to me (Bismarck)
Jim LThere was no sign out front label Macks Farm but it was very open and had plenty of places to park.
David GI reserved a uhaul in Bismarck 2 weeks prior to pickup. the day before pickup is was informed that I needed to drive 115 miles one way to pick up the uhaul. Had to cancel all of my business appointments. Not pleased.
jon jTrailer lights not all working. Owner said he couldn’t fix them. Sent us out with non working lights. Called U-Haul they said we could start loading and they would send roadside assistance out to fix lights. Then after we started loading we received a text saying we had to take it out of town to fix lights. We did not have time to be running around with trailer while trying to load. Then got another text that said we could use hand signals during the day. We drive at night also not just during the day so how stupid is that. This was the second trailer that had light problems that we rented in the last two months. The first one at least fixed them before sending us out even though we were delayed a couple hours while he fixed them. We had to get trailer at this location cause U-Haul called and said one wasn’t available at my original location. So again another hassle
Sandi CIf you make a reservation in Bismarck ND a week or two a head of the pick up you should have a truck there not 110 miles away that's b.s. and that's the second time you have not had a truck last time I used penskl
Gary SGood job. thanks!!
Garrett TMinot corporate office where the reservation was made took payment 3 days before the truck was ever made available. The quote the minot office gave me was WAY lower than what I had to pay. I paid 250 dollars plus more than the minot office quoted me. The minot office said they had a truck and auto transport available and they did not. THEY LIED. I had to pay more in fuel because the truck they gave me was 26' when ordered a 20'. Minot office gave the independent Harvey location the wrong information on WHAT we ordered and set us back numerous hours and the trip to Harvey cost us another day. I hate Uhaul and will never use them again due to the corporate minot office. I will deter anyone I can from using uhaul due to the jacked up service from the minot office. They are scammers and liars at the corporate branch in minot. The Harvey location was great. But I wont recommend uhaul.
travis pHave the U-Haul you requested in Minot available, instead of having to travel 75 miles to pick it up and then travel to Minot to load!!!!!~
mark wI find that your company and Employees are very good in what you do. Thanks
Kelly KChange windshield wipers
dale zCustomer service was excellent.
mike hDon't lie to your customers stating that the reason you didn't call was because the truck "just pulled in last night" and then the next day call back and state that the truck isn't there.
Jacob ZThough we were late (to our surprise--there was a clerical error in our contract) the manager was polite and helped us work the problem to the benefit of the people who were waiting for our truck. I thought she handled a delicate problem professionally.
Mark NGet more trucks to north Dakota so a customer doesn't have to pay to drive an hour out of the way to pick up a truck and spend over 100 dollars extra in gas
jeremy cThere was no one there it was a Sunday so I didn't talk to no one & couldn't go in side so I don't know what the in side look like.
james lAlthough staff and locations were great. I doubt if I would recommend U-haul per say without a warning. Trailer I ordered and paid for was not available at the original location...U-haul depot and storage in Bismarck N.D (a large city)...I received a call in the afternoon of the day before on my way to Bismarck where I had booked to stay for the night.. .Pickup day I had to retrace my steps 110 miles to an agent in Harvey N.D. a small rural community open 10am to midday. Alternative locations that had a trailer were closed on Saturday or couldn't be reached before they closed. This however was preferable to my previous experience with U-haul where I was asked to drive 80miles on secondary, snow drift and ice covered roads to a remote rural township because you couldn't supply a truck on the day in Minot N.D.(once again a large city) .. I went with Penske . .
Graham RAccess to the trailers is limited because of the size and location of Harvey. Our timing was extraordinary.
Able TThe person we dealt with was rude and hateful. The hours of business were not set up for anyone to really use during the weekend. The man over the business was yelling at my brother to do things like he was an employee. It over all was a bad experience at that location.
Andrew GGreat service
SCOTT RThe most important thing to a customer that rent equipment from U Haul, is to actually be told the correct information when booking. Second, to have the equipment available for the customer. The Harvey location was great with their customer service. My enormous disappointment starts with the department called Traffic and Reservation. Being told something that was intention to be misleading has to stop. Over booking your U Haul locations. Is an inconvenience for the U Haul owner at that particular site as well as the customer. I have had an unforgettable experience with U Haul. The customer service was just awful when dealing with reservations and traffic. I even spoke with someone in regional office that was not knowledgeable nor skilled in her profession. I have shared the great inconvenience with 10 people already , and will continue to share with others.
naquita bI personally think that the older GMC 26ft trucks should be retired. The newer Ford trucks have a very effective tow/haul mode that works great for descending grades that would have been of great use going down the mountains. This has nothing to do with this location they were very helpful and this was the only truck available within 100 miles.
Michael TSmoking in the office made my experience not pleasant as I am allergic to smoke.
RICHARD AThe trailer had been damaged before I picked it up. It was known & marked but a wrench put to it would have made it safer prior to my using it. Fixed it myself before I left. Pre-rental inspections & minor improvements done by the facility would have made my checking out faster. Also, my reservation showed a pick-up time of 9am. They were not expecting me until noon, why, I don't know. But as a result, I had to wait for them to get their computer & printer turned on to go through all the info needed. Another delay in my departure. I was meeting someone a half hour drive away & ended up being an hour late. That party was not happy with me. I am recommending them though since I'm sure this is not a regular occurence & I don't want to hurt their livelihood.
Angela SThey should take some lessons from the folks in Pineville, LA on customer service and how to be friendly. The management at Macks should attend lots of Fred Pryor courses for improving their tact and communication skills.
