This was an unmanned location. Returned via the U-haul app
GLADYS GOnly challenge was their hours of business are limited, closed by 4pm.
VICKI TThe power was out when I arrived. It would be best to have a sign in the window with instructions how to turn in a truck via the app.
DARIN LThe pickup process was poor - not because of the location itself, but the mobile pickup process was tedious. When I schedule a truck pickup, I have a timetable. I had 10+ people waiting on me because a "review of my identity credentials" took 15 minutes, and then the (mobile) instructions for identifying the correct truck were unclear (e.g. a simple picture depicting the "truck ID" would've gone miles). Additionally, during the "review" of my credentials, there was no indication that anything was happening. Was it being reviewed? Did my page freeze? Did I just lose connection? Thankfully, it went through eventually. But then I experienced something similar upon my return. Filled out the form, took the pictures, and it said it was "processing" - for 10 minutes, again with no indication that it was actually doing anything. Was it processing? Did my page freeze? Did I lose connection? This time, it turns out it was actually an issue of the page hanging. Once I refreshed and re-submitted, it took 3 seconds to process. Waste of time. The mobile check-in and turn-in process could be improved upon greatly. Again, the Belleville location itself was fine.
Cameron HTruck was missing hand cart and pads, driver side door and slide door at the back wouldn’t lock, and the ignition didn’t work properly.

STEVEN KHave your staff open on-time and not and hour late. I saw several people leave due to no staff. Hours of operation on the door says 10am- 4pm. I had an important move that needed to start early but, staff didn’t arrive till 11am. Not exceptable.

Mary CThey don’t properly tell you what to do when dropping off vehicle when they are closed so they can charge you additional after hour fees even though you had it dropped off before the scheduled time
Eric RThe unit we reserved and picked up at the mail center 847 sumpter rd Belleville mi 48111 Turns out there were bed bugs in the unit so we found them on the mattresses when we moved them in the house during the night my daughter woke up with 1 that got on her and was bitting her when it was killed it had blood in it we found more after disinfecting the house I had to prolong rental of truck so we could clean inside of unit throughly and disinfect it to hopefully eliminate bed bugs before finishing move. So that was an incurred cost along with the cost to throughly clean all things with cloth materials then treat the house we just rented. To make sure we did everything to eliminate the bed bugs I did notify uhal in jackson mi at 2925 e Michigan ave jackson mi location of the bed bug problem . I don't feel that I should be charged full price for the extra time I had to keep it to try to ensure safety of my household not to be infected more of bed bugs being moved in my new location and th cost of throughly cleaning and disinfecting everything. I do have pictures of the ones we did find.

Dawn OThe whole experience felt unprofessional. The person I purchased the uhaul from was very unprofessional. She forced me to give her my wife’s number so she could call her as a reference. When I returned the uhaul 2 hours later (during regular business hours) she told me she had to charge me $20 to return it. I told her I would just do the return online and then she told me “oh, don’t worry! I’ll figure out how to get around the fee for you.” That didn’t feel right. It felt off to me. The whole experience left me feeling like I definitely would attempt to avoid these uhaul outpost stores and just go to a uhaul specific store.

JASPER GVERY CONFUSING... Had to walk around the entire strip mall to find the drop box. no designated parking for the truck either.
Noah OWait time was an hour just to get them to get us the keys to get our day going. Too many confirmations regarding liability when it’s alright in the signed contract.

Julie rI was not aware that there was going to be an extra $20 charge for dropping off after hours. Which is even more irritating after I checked my email for an updated pickup location and there wasn’t one so I had to spend an extra $30 for lyfts to get the truck. Which I didn’t have the money for. I am extremely aggravated at the lack of communication happening.
Katelynn JNo reason to complain. Dropped it off through the website and it was very manageable. The drop off location was easy to find and the drop off directions were intuitive and fairly easy.

richard dMake sure to check all areas of the truck. The drop off location included reviewing the top of the truck using a ladder. The pick up location did not do that and the drop off person indicated damage on top. The lady was super helpful and friendly.
Oscar SThe online off hours check in process is slow. The phone application did not work well and the website online form is quirky. Took over 50 minutes to pick up the vehicle and had to call U-Haul customer support.
