Great customer service.
Christian JEverything worked technically, but it all felt a bit run down. I would give the experience a 3 stars, because I can't say that anything major broke. But it definitely wasn't the experience I've had in the past with U-haul, where everything worked smoothly and the car was clean. Examples of the little things that were below-par: The car door was busted and difficult to close, the cargo bay door was rusted and needed to be pulled extra hard. Check-out took 20-30 minutes as the gas station attendant navigated their older computer. They didn't have the dolleys that were advertised to be available online. Trash wasn't cleaned out of the car, and there were food wrappers under the driver's seat.

BRUCE CI had reserved the u-haul just a few miles from my house. My total trip with the u-haul would have been 20 miles from pickup to dropoff, but the site that I originally picked on the website apparently had issues, so this caused me to pick up from a different location and charged extra mileage. This doubled my mileage and I was charged according to that. The mileage charge was more than the u-haul rental itself. If the site is unavailable, it should not have been an option to rent from. While picking up my rental, the clerk would stop what he was doing with me and help other people check out from the gas station. While I can appreciate customer service, a little bit of communication would have been nice, such as "While I wait for the system to load, I'm just going to step over here so that way they are not waiting longer." Or something on those lines. I also rented a dolly for $7. The dolly that I received was a furniture dolly and does not work well with tubs. I did not have furniture to move, so the dolly was useless and was not used. Overall, I can say that it was not the best experience.
JAMIE LFirst, when picking up the trailer, one of the lights didn’t work, so we had to get a new cord. That one didn’t work at first either, but I ended up getting one he lights to all work, for a little bit. I then discovered that the lights would go on and off while I was driving. The cable was not staying connected for some reason on the trailer. I went out and bought one, hem everything worked fine. I then find out that the door kept coming open while driving, even though I had a lock on it. I had to use zip ties to make sure the door would not just open up.

MICHELLE HDriver side door was very difficult to close. Tire pressure light was on & couldn't read the odometer.
CHARLES TCheck engine light was on and the truck was quite loud. The knob on the driver side window crank making it very difficult to lower and raise.

RICK SThe location was okay but there was a concern with the rental. The first truck I was given as a rental had a check engine light on. I discussed this with the rep who said it was checked out by the maintenance team. However, I didn’t want to risk this on a 500 mile road trip with the sweltering heat we’ve seen. Because of this, the rep offered me a newer truck with low miles (43,000) that worked out nicely for my daughters college move.

BARRY Cprice was much higher than anticipated
EBONY LI'm being nice with the Yes on was the equipment clean and well maintained. I wouldn't say it was dirty, but it wasn't clean. There was a questionable repair on the roof, fortunately no rain so I didn't have to find out if it was okay. Tires were brand new. Overall it worked well. Staff is quick and easy to work with. Location always has plenty of equipment to rent.
KINSER HThe office was inside a BP gas station. There was no signage indicating that. It was confusing.
ROBERT SI don't think you could improve to much on this location for pick up & drop off . The clerk that took care of my transaction, did a very professional job.

AMANDA PPick up location is a gas station with convenience store. There is no dedicated U-Haul office or specific U-Haul rental agent. Therefore it is best to pick up at a time when they are not too busy. They make it work. The employees are helpful, and knowledgeable about the rental process.
