Hi. This is a typical case of miscommunication and bad customer service. I reached out to my local Uhaul center because I am the Director of a 501c3 Charity here in Campobello, SC. We were having our annual fundraiser, which is a giant Upscale Garage Sale which not only helps the community but also helps our charity. We had it at the local farmer's market and needed a Uhaul to move stuff into the event. When I called the main center in Spartianburg/Boiling Springs, I asked if they could sponsor the Uhaul and the manager said, yes. They loved what we were doing and asked if I could promote their storage services in return. Last minute, they switched my pick up location to Cowpens, which is very inconvenient. I called to try and understand why and was put on hold several times for close to 30 minutes before speaking to a Representative in Boiling Springs. That lady, although very nice. was not able to switch back my pick up location. When I went to pick up the Uhaul, the man who ran the convenience store they told me to use, knew nothing about the sponsored truck. So, not only did I get the runaround, I received no sponsor and NOT EVEN A DISCOUNT even though I was told I would. I am upset because we promoted Uhaul as sponsoring our truck and they did not. Very bad.
