Prepaid reservations should say that on the portal for the employee. The person asked me for my license and then realized I had entered it. Same for the payment. Maybe preprint all the paid customers for the day or a list on the screen saying all set? I did like the visual inspection by phone.Noel P.
We rented a trailer one way to New York. On the way to New York we got pulled over for expired tags on the Uhaul trailer. 2 months expired. The center in New York told us they would refund your rental costs. The regional center in Maryland said no, they would only refund half. They explained that it was too hard to keep up with keeping current tags on trailers as they are always on the move, they can't keep track of them. For a company as large as Uhaul that is truly inexcusable and sad.Kimberly W.

One of the tires was low on air. The location had no ability to inflate. I had to do it myself at a gas station. Although the vehicle was brand new, the air conditioning did not work. I had a very hot 600 mile drive to SC. I should receive some financial restitution for this.David B.

The representative was rude and nasty. I will not use this location again even though it is very close to where I live. We drove 6 miles and was charged for 8 miles (per representative, computer was responsible for the error). We did not add gas back in because line was where we found it but was charged $10 for gas when the tank was on the same spot as when we picked it up. The representative was clearly having a very bad day. I will not recommend.Alonzo C W.
We reserved a truck close to home and we're sent 45 min away to pick up and drop off. We were given a quote of .99 a mile and were charged 1.29 a mile (ironically we had to travel far to get it). The guy there when we dropped off was very rude and we will never recommend them to anyone.alexus W.

The owner at this location is amazing. We have used this location at least 5 times in 5 years, even though there are other locations close by. The town was without power when we arrived on Saturday, and the gentleman who runs this spot was still able to help me check-in on time! Always impressed with how well he handles himself. The front end sounded like it was worn out. The driver's door had to be slammed to close completely. The odometer read 101,000 but the engine power was as weak as a 300,000 engine might have.TODD W.
The service agent did not walk around the vehicle with me prior ho my departure. Once I completed the damage check on the App, I immediately noticed something that I did not when I originally walked around. There was a crack in the windshield which I could not see while standing outside of the vehicle due to where the van was parked and the shadow cast on the windshield at the time.Edward T.
The return process was not easy for me. I had to enlist my son who is savvy with online processes to come meet me. Needless to say we were not successful. We took pictures turned in the keys and then learned pictures had to be taken while in the return app. For Seniors it's unfriendly!evelyn B.

This morning I rented a 26 footer with over 164,000 miles. U-Haul needs to get more modern trucks with less mileage that don't make as much noise. The door on the driver's side made an incredible of noise and wouldn't stop rattling all the time that I drove it. It needs to be replaced. Other than that, the vehicle was adequate and served the purpose.Carl P.

Online pickup of rental truck is confusing and resulted in a call to the location owner. I had his number already because he called me earlier in the day to tell me I had to use a smaller truck. I had reserved the larger truck 9 days in advance. He lied and said that the larger truck had been rented all week and not returned. Unfortunately for him that truck was returned that night while I was still there picking up the smaller truck. The man returning the truck informed me that he had only had it for 8 hours.Ryan L.

The app to return the truck was not working. It wouldn't let me take a picture of the dashboard on my iPhone 13pro max. Because I couldn't take a picture, I was charged $20. I shouldn't have to pay because your app doesn't workRobert A.
Try'd the online thing never again. Started with a phone call. In less than 10 min. had the truck I wanted, at the time I wanted it and a much better price then online. Return was super easy. Parked the truck dropped the key done. Receipt was in my inbox be four I got home. Total was what they said it would be, NO hidden charges like i have delt with in the pass. I had scheduled to pick up a rental truck 2/20/22 @7:30am in Jarrettsville, Md. I received an email on 2/19/22 that the location was changed to Cockeysville, MD. I called numerous times after I got the email ,to be hung up on, disconnected, transfered, and given the wrong numbers to whom I needed to talk to to change the pickup location to Rosedale, MD. I finally spoke to someone who said she made all the changes and the reservation number was the same. I had someone to drive the truck for me and several people to help me move furniture. We were at the Rosedale location to only be told by an employee that they did not open until 9am. If we were to pickup earlier we should have been given a code for a box. We were not given a code. We sat in the parking lot until 9am to be told they did not have a truck for us. They never got the reservation. We called the Cockeysville location and they had a truck for us to rent. I spent 2 hours on the phone Saturday and was very disappointed Sunday. U haul employees need alot more training. The person who I was transfered to which was a Washington location was rood. I would appreciate someone from corporate to reach out to me. In the survey it said not to leave personal information. You have my information so please call me. The employees at the Cockeysville location were very efficient. As far as everything else it was a nightmare for me and everyone with me. I hope to never need U haul again.ROBERT S.

The owner is very nice but the truck was dirty and I was given the truck with less than a quarter tank of gas and also was charged an extra $7 still not explained. I would try again because of the owner but otherwise go elsewhere.ADAM M.
The location closed two hours early! I was admittedly an hour late, but well within the time allotted. They did call, but left no message. As I don't answer calls from unknown numbers, I didn't know who it was. I had to go back and forth making numerous calls for about 30 minutes in the cold until the manager agreed to send someone. The guy who came was great, very helpful. So it averaged out. Advice- adjust your hours posted on the website to reflect your actual hours!SAMUEL M.

The trailer came unhitched from my truck on the way from Charlotte, NC. To Cockeysvile,MD. Maybe because I tried to turn around in my narrow driveway. I called for roadside assistance in the snow but after three hours and several calls no one came. I was told to leave the trailer on the side of the road. Next day DON the regional manager call me and said I would be charged $500. To unload the trailer.therefore I went to the cockeysvile drop off location and rented a second trailer to unload first trailer contents. Have the rental where you emailed it would be, just that week. We drove 1.5 hours the wrong way then were treated like it was our fault, despite showing the email proof. If you move it, fine, but you have to communicate that. This one is on the distribution center not the individual sites.MICHAEL B.

I would not recommend anyone to go to the U-Haul on York road in Cockeysvilles Maryland. the owner asked me if I wanted the insurance on the van that I was about to rent, I declined with a sound "NO" ...then he made some sort of reference concerning people who don't take the insurance, which went in one ear and out the other. The next day I was charged with insurance, I called the store and spoke to the owner, he told me he was not at the store, and he gave me a number to call to handle the situation. Long story short, after calling that number, the gentleman that I spoke with had no authority to correct the situation- the owner gave me the run around- he should have just said, as soon as I get back to the store, I will correct the error...but he didn't. I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company.DAVID M.

I returned the vehicle at 3:15pm, certainly within business hours. the office doors were locked and i had to use the drop box. When i tried to use the online app it required photos which i had taken prior to locking the vehicle however the UHAUL application/website didn't allow me to upload these photos and i couldn't take new photos because the vehicle was already locked. this resulted in the $20 fee. The U-Haul office person could have warned that they were closing early and of the electronic drop process.MICHAEL K.
