The location was fine. However, the process for dropping off a trailer is a mess. I've rented trailers twice in the last year and a half, and both times the online drop off process is confusing and not user friendly. The steps should be clear and brief to drop off equipment. Also, the print on all documents is way too small. I got 4 pages of safety stuff that I couldn't read without a magnifying glass and my contract print size was even smaller that had the return instructions on it. I called the number when the online return didn't work and they said I had to go back to the location the next day. I did that and thankfully they were very helpful and took care of the return for me. This is unacceptable. It should be that hard.Scott C.

The trailer light wiring was not long enough to even reach the hitch let alone the connection on the vehicle. There was a wiring adapter attached but not long enough and wiring was not grounded. Purchases another wiring extension and placed grounding wire underneath the hitch coupler which did not secure grounding wire.Tamara E.
Great people at this location. There was an electrical problem with my car that caused some delay in picking up the trailer. It was not the fault of the local people, it came in too them that way. I would definitely do it again.Scott C.

The fuel gauge was not exactly at Half full There was no paperwork given. I was just asked to go to the truck as it was ready When I started and looked at the gas tank, it was less than half full When I returned the truck I was changed $22 for less fuel Ww m though I made sure I filled it to the level I picked it upJASPREET S.

They were exceedingly nice and helpful and friendly with the paperwork. But they had no one on hand for hook-up so I needed to do it by myself. It was a heavy 6x12 trailer, stuck in high grass and required much screwing around. I'd think that you risk big liability problems having customers do their own hookups? I had to have my wife help even though she's been laid up with back problems and has spine surgery set for June 26. I won't be back.Tom H.

Do not rent a U Haul from the "Malmo Market", located at 32060 220th St, Malmo, Mn. First, with the exception on one stellar employee (Ashley), no one else knows apparently knows anything about the U Haul system, as they are either not bright enough, to comprehend it, were not given proper instruction, or just don't care. Secondly, and most importantly, document the condition of your vehicle, along with mileage in and out and gas gauge if applicable. Should you have a need contest any of the charges placed on your credit card (as I did), be prepared to be called a liar and you likely will be spoken to in a flippant and condescending tone of voice; then, you will likely be lied to. When I confronted Michelle and later Linwood Elliott about charges which should not have been applied, I was lied to by Linwood. He told me that the only resolution was thru U Haul customer service, the inference being that customer service was closed throughout the weekend, and that would have to be done on Monday, 5/2/16. That was on Saturday afternoon around 4 pm. He was not interested in making a concerted effort to try and resolve the issue right then and there. So, imagine my surprise when I contacted corporate U Haul customer service on Sunday, 5/1/16, where I promptly filed a service complaint against the Elliott's U Haul franchise. During my contact with corporate U Haul, I was told that my credit card had been charge not once, but twice for $365.30, a good 80-90 dollars higher than the quote when I rented the truck. As a franchisee of U Haul, the Elliott's and Malmo Market are the agent and face for corporate U Haul. Their actions should reflect and embody the essence of what corporate U Haul is and always wants strives to be. The Elliott's lack of professionalism, their willingness to lie and lack of concern for the satisfaction of their client(s), along with their antagonizing and flippant remarks clearly send a poor message to the public. It would appear that they are simply interested in making a fast buck, rather than being a valuable asset to both U Haul and the rural community they reside and do business in. Wasn't a barrier for us, but there were no trained staff to turn the vehicle in to. Gave the keys to the teens working the gas station counter and left having to trust the vehicle would remain in the condition I dropped it off in until someone would be there to check it in at some undetermined time in the future. It's small town Minnesota so I wasn't really sweating it, but should still have a trained staff, even if it was teens, to know what to do. It was MN deer hunting opener, so I fully understand the conflict of the day. I think even just having a drop box for the keys so I knew they were secure would've been more assuring. I realize that it might not be possible for staff to always be available, and have at other facilities dropped Uhaul trucks off after hours and deposited keys this way.CHRIS M.
