James LIt was a struggle to connect to the internet so that I could get everything set up that was needed in order to pick up the truck. The side of the truck did have graphiti on it.
BRYSON HMarty at this location was great. He was very kind and helpful. He even called before my scheduled drop off time to make sure I knew how to get there and that I was still coming. He was planning on leaving, but waited for me. Highly recommend. The customer service for U-Haul was absolutely terrible! I paid extra for the drop off location when I picked it up. About 2 hours later I got a text from Uhaul telling me I had to drop it at another location that was a 45 min drive each way! They also refused to refund the money I paid to drop it at the original location even though they changed it. Brie was extremely rude and condescending. It was almost as if she was expecting an angry customer as soon as she picked up the phone.

THERESA HMy appointment was booked for Winona, MN (at least 2 weeks in advance), and the day before the pickup location switched to Kellogg, which is about 30 minutes away. I was originally getting charged for the extra miles it took to go back from Kellogg to Winona to load all my stuff, but the drop off location was able to waive it. This is my 2nd time where I’ve had an appointment well in advance for the Winona U-Haul and the first time I showed up and the hitch I wanted was not in stock so it got kicked back 1 week, and the second time I’m being told the day before that I need to add 1 hour and therefore get somebody to drive with me all the way to Kellogg. The pickup location and the drop-off location experiences were fine, the problem is with the scheduling and not having what was agreed upon with the reservation. I will recommend people stay away from the Winona U-Haul, and maybe even U-Haul altogether if they can.
