This was such a horrible Uhual experience that makes me never want too rent a Uhual again. We picked up our Uhual at 6 pm and it was almost night time in Toronto, while driving in the highway we found out that one of the head light is burnt and not working also the air bag light kepft flashiing. That night turned out to be a huge storm iin Tooronto and we felt so unsafe driving this truck till late at night in the highway. I also called to raise my compliant next day and someone was suppose to email me in 2-3 days but I sitll have not heard back. I would like to get some of the money I spent on this trip refundedas experience was not pelasent and safe.VOICUHOREA M.

90% of the process was smooth and efficient. The upsell on other products/services/insurance was a little overwhelming and ultimately the insurance fears increase price significantly - that's not helpful for estimating potential cost off the sticker, but I get it. I made a human error in booking the correct number of hours, and that's where my experience really went downhill. I spoke w an agent prior to picking up my vehicle, to update the correct hours (ie 20 hours vs 10 hours) but after picking up, 10 hours was on my contract. I wasted ~5 hours on the phone after that tryign to speak with people at Uhaul to come up w an alternative solution, but due to long wait times, call quality = dropped calls, hours for scheduling dept, I ultimately came up with a different plan, but still had to pay my full rental rate. Very frustrating experience and I will likely in the future for a similar 1 day requirement just use an alternative option. Not worth that hassle again if anything goes different than plan. Probably my fault on this one, but still wish there was an easier customer service resolution. Best of luck with this feedback.John-Paul S.

Essentially got mugged by the guy at this convenience store. Henceforth never using U-Haul again. The guy never measured the odometer or the fuel tank and frauded us on our contract. We even called U-Haul customer service while hashing it out with him and the customer service was of no help.Arjun C.
I requested a furniture Dolly & moving mats. They were not included. Not only that but the check-in time took far too long. I scheduled 4 hours and spent the first 60 minutes just trying to get the van, to the point that I missed my window for the service elevator. When I went to return the van and cancel the contract, as I was no longer able to move as scheduled. I was bounced between departments. Once I finally got a hold of someone to explain what happened they were dismissive, and despite agreeing to refund me in full, they still charged my card. Unacceptable.Chris B.

This is the second time I go to this location and each time the U Haul system was either down or incredibly slow. The person at the counter was great and patient but the booking time took about 20 - 30 minutes each time. Please look into this and give dealers tools to better serve clients at check in. I will be getting my rental vehicle elsewhere as this is a huge waste of time for me and the poor dealer that has clients waiting as he waits on the U-Haul booking system.Aaron F.

We showed up and it took 20 minutes to register us to rent. The truck was dirty and had garbage in the front seat. We needed to extend and called corporate to do so. Within 2 hours, we had the store calling us to see where the truck was. We told them we extended and they demand we bring it back so we finished our move incomplete. When we brought it back they informed us that we wouldn't be charged extra. I got an invoice sent to me that is double the amount of our initial reservation. Consider renting for the day not just 4 hours. I got delayed and so I couldn't finish before the 4 hours were up. This inconvenienced the next customer. If you're getting delayed, please call the rental company and let them know. You're going to pay for the time used anyway, at least the next person wont be inconvenienced.Paul P.

We were quoted $60/$70 on the app and in person, paid $100 cash deposit. When we returned the truck we were over charged (double the amount) and had to pay in tip of the deposit. The associate at MaC noticed there was an error in pricing too but told us we had to figure out the problem and contact UHAUL. So I would like to be refunded my money with the over charge. On top of that the trust provided a sounded like it was going to break down!Leeanne N.
On return we were charged for two days even though vehicle was returned in less than 23.5 hours after pick up. Clerk refused to discuss or explain anything saying call u haul. On calling u haul the line would not go through for some mysterious reason. Please credit over billing. It is not acceptable. We Were Made to wait during pickup and also line up on return of vehicle. Print out was not easily available. Some excuse about Covid. Vehicle rolling door was siezed and needed another person to open it.Manjit B.

Make sure that there are supplies available that you sell via the web site BEFORE selling them to people who NEED to use them. It's impossible to plan and make use of your equipment if you don't deliver. It cost me an hour and more than $100 in labor costs trying to make up for equipment you sold me (I reserved) but you couldn't deliver upon pickup. WHY no forewarning? Why false and misleading inventory info on your web site? uHaul's inability to deliver on reserved equipment and materials is not affordable or commercially competitive.Leslie H.
there were some lights on the dashboard and a sign that stated service tire monitor system. the uhaul personnel advised me to ignore it and it's just truck monitoring system is malfunctioning. it would be nice if these were taken cared of before renting out the truck. it was online pick-up but u-haul personnel was very cordial though when spoken to. truck rented is clean but has smoke smells.Rodrigo L.

We did a reservation on the website, but when we arrived to take the truck, it was not there. They gave it to another person. So we had to do another contract, and when we were taking it back, we discovered that there were two contracts because they didn't cancel the first one. And we had to wait for almost 1 hour to be attended to and resolve everything.Euler R.

You have to be AT THE LOCATION to return it online. I had to make two trips to the location to finalize return or get penalized on the bill. Instructions were not clear. Customer Service was unyielding! Then, I get sent a VIDEO on how to return it! I think I figured that out the night before!! But thanks anyway! A sheet or â€œHow to Returnâ€ when I set up the rental would have saved us all a lot of grief. I had a pleasant experience over all until I had to deal with UHAUL after the fact. Also, explain how to take the required pictures if you only have one person returning! Explain how to take these pictures in an unlit parking lot? It's a good system with flaws at my expense.art L.

I travelled 15 kilometres and I put $6 of gas and they charged me for $7.26 of their fuel. How could I travel 15 KMS and use $13.26 of gas especially when the fuel mileage was 19.6 litres per 100kms???mike C.
