Gentlemen was pleasant but did not make sure trailer lights were working before we left. Only after a short distance the lights on trailer no longer worked . Stopped and checked and all lights on our truck were working properly but lights on trailer did not work. Had to stop and stay overnight due to no lights working on trailer. Make sure that all euipment is working properly before renting.Curtis C.

1st time user,length of ramp from back of truck would of been helpful...when I received statement was surprised to see 26+ dollar charge for gas, I feel like I was within one half gallon of when I picked up the truck,used the same trk two days later and no fuel had been added. This is a location we have visited for many years and know the owner and there was no problem in returning the car hauler.regina J.
has nothing to do with location but UHaul. I scheduled a 15ft truck because it was the only one available but I wanted to add accessories later and couldn't because I couldn't edit the order. I called the pickup location to find out that the truck reserved would not be available. I told them that I couldn't log back in to UHaul to cancel and was told to call direct. I did and was able to cancel and schedule another larger truck which is what I wanted in the first place but pickup was later than I wanted. Reserved it anyway out of necessity. Arrived early to get the truck and it too wasn't available and would not be returned until 2 hrs after the reserved time. your associated there called and located a truck at the first pickup location that was to also be the larger truck there that was reserved for the next day. A contract swap was worked out. I then drove to the location got the truck and returned home to start loading. Only then did I realize that the truck I was given was a 15 ft and not a 20 ft truck. I had added 24 pads and an appliance dolly because of the expected room. I didn't not even open the pads because we had to prioritize what would be loaded. Summarize: I went through three dealers and three trucks just to end up with the wrong truck and unable to use pads added to be used with the truck I wanted and was told I was picking up. Scheduling is poor and now I'll see what Customer Service is.James H.

I reserved a truck at the Dothan, AL location and was rerouted to Ozark, AL. I spent almost 4 hours there to get the truck. The owner wasn't feeling well and didn't have anyone else there to do the work. He might need to train others how to run the Uhaul business in case something like this should happen again. The computers went down and it was just a complete mess! I was moving my belongings from Dothan, AL to Troy, AL, so just imagine me having to leave Dothan to go to Ozark, and then back to Dothan to load and move to Troy. Everyone was irritated.Tammy W.

My original reservation was with Miller Custom Cycles in Ozark, AL, but after they didn't show up to rent it the trailer or even open their business, Uhaul transferred my reservation to M&R Groceries. The lady and gentlemen that worked there were very friendly and got me the taller that I needed very quickly.Matthew W.

My only complaint about the entire experience was that my res was transferred 25 mi away from the requested pickup address, and I wasn't notified until the morning before. Due to my circumstances, this caused me to go over on the mileage. This is in no way m&r's fault. They were great.Rachel G.

The retailer was EXTREMELY unhelpful and in fact was an impediment to renting the truck online. The rental agreement was NOT was listed on the website. Why do we have to pay extra mileage for a truck that was not available in the city we needed? The website said the rental included 140 miles. This is NOT what the extremely unhelpful agent said and is in fact what was on the website. I have pictures confirming the mileage and the fact that no truck was available at the starting location and that we had to choose an alternate location.John C.

What a crap of shit you have to jump through to haul a small car. I will not recommend "U-Haul" to none of my friends, however, anyone that I don't care for, I will be the one to recommend U-Haul to, in hoopes that they will also have to deal with the idiots that run your company. To tell me that a 1 Ton chevy truck can';t handle the load"Crap", that a Ton and a half can't handle it "BullCrap", I would tell you that first,you must pull your heads out of your ass, then clean the crap off your eyes and face, thensee what nonsence you dickheads are up too. Nothing wrong with the location but u haul over booked the truck I had reserved. This made me find another location charged me for larger truck that I didn't need fuel gauge wasn't 1/2 tank when I picked it up. The other location was on my way to where I was moving from but had to go 20+ miles out of the way to get the truck but yet I still was only allowed certain amount of miles. You can have a truck available in my location - Eufaula, AL, - which had two U-Haul rental locations but no trucks - instead of making me drive an hour away to this location. Your online reservation system SUUUUUUUUCKS.Boyd L.
Customer service was extremely slow and this location was not the one which we selected. We ended up having to drive 45 minutes to arrive at this location, and then it took us a while to actually pick up the truck due to the slow customer service. The person who checked us out also forgot our dolly rental so we had to spend additional time to rent the dolly. All of this time spent arriving at this location and getting through the slow customer service delayed our moving day by a few hours, which was absolutely crucial. I will not be recommending this location or services to any friends or customers as I was extremely unhappy with my experience there.THERESA N.

As far as the truck, everything was great. But a friend of mine had also rented a U-Haul this weekend and theirs had a set of hand trucks and a bag full of moving blankets in the back. I would recommend putting these items in the back of all of your trucks.Celeste J.

Seems the staff are not very well-versed in computers. It may have just been a fluke. Gentleman was extremely slow and there may have been problems with the order of the previous customer which held things up as well. My entire moving plan was delayed by 1 1/2 hours because it took me that long from my scheduled pick-up time until I was able to drive away with the truck. Very frustrating.Cathy C.

Extended wait for paperwork. Was charged $12 for a dolly that he did not have but said he could not remove. Ended up paying again to rent a dolley at another location. Truck was full of Christmas tree needles. Fuel level showed half full where truck was sitting at angle but dropped 1/8 tank when moved to level ground. Was cussed out by female meth addict appearing person when I moved truck to where store owner was directing me to put it. This was outside the store. She proceeded to rant more when I went back in the store looking for the dolly he did not have. Store owner never defended me and waited on her as if nothing happened. Figured between gas and dolly I was out 30-$40 but I was ready to get out of there so just let it go. The rest of my trip was excellent. 26' truck was easy to drive and rode great.robert N.

The trailer we reserved weeks in advanced was not in working order and we had to drive out of our wat to a different location to pick another one up. ONce we picked up the second one that also had issues but not until the day we were leaving for our move (Alabama to Alaska).erika M.

The rude old fart running the place told me to fold the rental pads or he would charge me. If I didn't like it I could go somewhere else. I stated that was not in the contract and he said too bad. So, I disconnected the trailer and left. I immediately contacted Visa and told them any charges from M&R Groceries, uhaul in Ozark, al are fraudulent. What a joke.Jerel H.

On July 28 the transporter rear passenger tire blew out around 4-5 hours later the front passengers side tie down wheel strap broke we lost 4-5 hours waiting for repairs this trip was one that was hazardous due to defected equipment. When ask about a discount at time I return equipment, I was told to contact the person I rented from. This trip could have ended with facilities.ROBBIE J.

I had requested a 15' truck in Troy 2 weeks in advance. I received an email just a few days before saying I had a 20' in Brundidge. That is not what I asked for. Ended up having to drive over 30 miles to get what I asked for. I seen on the website that if you didn't get what you wanted you would get 50.00. Send me my money because all I got was a run around. The dash lights and tail lights did not work at all had to have someone follow us all the way to Florida from Alabama! Very unsafe and we were just lucky to have someone that could be available to follow us!
