Received 26ft truck in an extremely dirty condition from an unprofessional location. Dirty water was inside the truck along with leaves and broken glass. I received the truck on a half tank which also added to the inconvenience of this experience. Finally, when I originally arrived at the building and they opened 2 guard dogs were off the leash and one of them began approaching me and it took me yelling for the owner for her finally notice to regain control of the dog.

The process of retrieving the truck is unorganized. The owners of the liquid store own these trucks and mishandled me. Terrible customer service. Would not recommend. It took 30 minutes to get the truck. He kept mentioning self check out but the 10 in truck are not in the Uhal system to self checkout. When I was trying to return the truck keys, the owner was rude. Don’t recommend! Don’t recommend. Terrible location. Unsafe!!!

When I received the U-Haul. It was full of things that were not mine. I had to remove them all and was still charged full price for a unclean vehicle. I reserve my vehicle for two days was charged extra for not returning it. I feel as though I was overcharged and would like for someone to explain my deal. The people there were friendly had no complaints and was well aware of the vehicle being unclean, but I didn’t expect to pay full price for it. Thank you so much for my rental.

I was billed for a 15' truck and I should have only been charged for a 10' truck for a two day rental. I need to be charged for the proper amount and send me updated receipt please. Dealer said you would fix it and you said you would fix it. See notes and messages on my account. A representative told me she put note there. Can anyone please fix this for me and send me a receipt? Other than that, no problem and will keep renting and referring others as usual.

Just didn’t like them trying to over charge me for mileage and it wasn’t NO GAS in the truck when I picked it up.. They work it out and didn’t charge me for the mileage so that was a plus. Overall I recommend them to anyone

The rental was an emergency rental and the agent was amiable and warm. however, the truck was not road-worthy. 1st.) The radio didn't work. I had to use my personal portable speaker box to listen to my cellphone news and radio station as I drove 8 hrs to ATL GA. I called to complain to Customer service/roadside assistance and they told me to go to the nearest U-Haul repair shop in Lakeland FL, but the shop was closed. 2nd) While driving the truck the truck stalled while I was driving. Once the truck started going over 65MPH the truck stalled for a few moments and then gets a burst of energy and jumped from 60mph back to 65 and then went to 70 mph. This went on for the whole 8hrs I drove the truck with the check engine light on. I complained the following day again and two U-haul service repair guys came out to look over the truck. After they looked over the truck they stated that they would let the U-haul rep know that my truck needed to be replaced. I then called the roadside assistance person and informed her what was said but, U-haul roadside assistance stated that she would need to follow up with repair people and call me back. I never got a callback and for 4 days I was stuck with a $634 U-haul truck rental that didn't work nor did U-haul try to accommodate me with a new rental but, they made sure that hit my bank account for their money for that piece of crap truck...

Where do I begin? I traveled by airplane from VA to GA to pick up storage unit items. I was approximately 30 mins behind schedule getting to location. When I arrived the location wasn’t prepared. I waited about 39 mins to be eventually given the truck that I drove to VA. 1. I requested a furniture dollie, appliance dollie and a hand truck over a month before pick up date 2. I really needed the appliance dollie because I had a front loader washer/dryer set. The 3 guys helping me load the truck had to manually lift which wasn’t supposed to happen 3. I saw the scurrying of employee and what I assumed manger going between the 2 trucks that was there. Only to be told the requested (furniture and appliance) dollies weren’t available. Apparently the items I requested was on a truck they had rented earlier the same day. And all they could give was 1 hand truck. 4. I heard the manager tell the employee to put the hand truck back in the truck it was removed because I was taking the truck long distance and the truck given me I just returned from maintenance 5. He handed me the key to the truck and told me another employee had rented my truck out and the only thing he could do is send me to another location. I didn’t receive my information to confirm the truck was the truck assigned until almost an hour after off the property. Because I had people in place to move my things and working against the clock of having my things out of storage by a certain time I couldn’t take that chance. 6. Over 500+ miles we had to drive a listening to a horn blowing in a far away distance after the trip had begun. Thankfully no engine or dash lights appeared while driving I expressed my disappointment with UHaul. This was the worst experience I’ve encountered! I spent over $250 in gas and I get a refund notice today for $100 off a $950 bill. Each gas stop was $70+ in the tank. You couldn’t even compensate me the gas I put in the truck after your location gave away what I requested over a month before pick up. And the sad thing is… U-Haul called me the day before to confirm! I specifically asked would the requested items be available and was told “YES”. The items was at the location. I guess I should be thankful for the 1 tank of guess. It’s a slap in the face! Next time I will NOT go to a side location BUT one of your main locations. Or better yet compare with other truck rentals and NOT consider U-Haul as my #1 choice.

No one picked up phone at 4 locations. Called through corporate to make the reservation. Reservation ends up being at the most Dangerous location, two roaming military working dogs without leash or collar. Incompetent uhaul process because lot owner ran a drive thru liquor store and happened to have uhaul on the property.

The process was not clear in the morning they sent a text message for us to upload our drivers license and then a staff member would follow up up to 11 o’clock. There was no additional information when we got over there there was no one there and then someone showed up, not very friendly at all, the return process was clear because we followed the steps on the truck, but then the store owner or whoever that individual was was rude and obnoxious. She came out with two German. Shepherds, that were not on leashes. It was not a pleasant experience at all.

I was late picking up the truck and missed my reservation. I was accommodated immediately and given my truck. Also moving company on the site showed up and did a great job with patience. Not once was I having anxiety and I was stressed about the move. Imma miss Douglasville.

The cab of the truck was dirty, one of the windshield wiper blades was sitting on the dashboard inside the truck, and the people there were more concerned with selling alcohol to the customers in line for alcohol and not with U-Haul customers.

This Uhaul location did NOT check to make sure gas was out inside the rental. Nor was there the proper equipment needed for the rental. This U-Haul location then CHARGED me with stolen equipment that was never made available for me. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION. I will be filing a claim.

To begin with, I didn’t receive any help nor acknowledgement when I first approached. Then they waited until I came back in my car to let the dogs out, still no acknowledgement even though they clearly see I needed assistance with the equipment. When I finally received the rental truck after 45 mins of going back and forth with customer service, I didn’t receive the hand truck I paid an additional $15 fee for. To make my experience even better, I received the truck with no gas. Literally 20mikes until E. This was one of my worst experience I had with this company.

The agent kept walking away to service his alcohol buying customers. Did not send the link for inspection and told me to call UHaul which is what I did. Switched trucks without making the switch within the system causing my checkIn a horrible experience. Two different trucks involved but the agent did not process appropriately and caused an unnecessary lengthy delay while movers waiting on me. He became rude because I kept going back to him due to discrepancies while attempting to conduct the inspection. He really did not care about my situation after releasing the switched out vehicle. Would NEVER use this location again and would not refer anyone.

I was refused when I asked to get the truck checked back in. I was told that if he stopped to check it back in now. That it would cost me an extra 50 dollars. Because it was a Holiday. That he would check it in later. I don't believe that this is appropriate.

Our main issue was with the condition of the truck itself. The truck cab was filthy. It needed to be cleaned before handing over to another customer. There was ash in the cupholders and cigarillo butts. It smelled heavy of cigarettes. There was trash on the floor (empty plastic bottles) and a full can of tuna, which was kinda weird. The fuel level was empty. We were only 4 miles away from it being completely empty. However, the owner was kind and understanding and provided quality service. He offered us a gas contribution and since he didn't have all the equipment we ordered (dollies, pads, etc.) he made sure we were refunded. After we left, we discovered that the truck had a flat tire. It was not noticeable at the pick up location based on the parking lot being level. Overall, this truck needed to be inspected better before handing over to another customer to deal with the issues and poor quality conditions.

I was originally supposed to pick up the U-Haul truck at a different location, and when I came to pick up the truck, I was told last minute that it had switched to a different location. When driving to find the location, you can barely see the U-Haul sign, because the area where the U-Haul trucks are stationed is attached to and/or associated with a beer/alcohol store. When I arrived to pick up the U-Haul, the man working at the beer/alcohol store was not helpful, disgruntled, and was very curt, offering no real explanation or direction. The U-Haul also had an unpleasant smell.

I have never left a review like this in my life, however, after our recent experience with U-Haul, I feel it is necessary to let you know about it. Sam was absolutely incredible at the Madison, TN location. Unfortunately, from the very beginning, our U-Haul experience left a lot to be desired. At our pick up location in Lithonia, Georgia which changed after making the reservation from 5 minutes away to 25 miles away, we showed up to a run down beer barn that smelled like old beer and pee while being “greeted” by three large German shepherds who were very upset that we were even on the property. While complaining about the fact I wasn’t asked over the phone to send in my DL information and corralling her dogs, we received the wrong truck with only half of what we had reserved (no blankets, no boxes, they mixed up truck numbers and had the incorrect number of days) with dirty wet blankets and trash all behind the seats and on the floor, we couldn’t even verify the fuel or condition of the truck before leaving. HOWEVER, when we finally reached our destination in Madison, TN, Sam took the time to make sure everything was taken care of and we received the help and service we wanted. Our unit hadn’t even been reserved upon arriving but she was able to make sure she got us a unit. From renting our storage unit, to checking in the truck, our happiness was her main concern the whole time. This location was incredible and did everything they could to make it work for us and our family and we couldn’t have been happier!
