This place was terrible and should be removed from the U-Haul brand! When I got there, no one was at the desk, I had to call and during the message playing someone picked up and told me to leave the keys in the after hours dropbox. Then, later that evening, I get the bill showing a $25 cleaning fee! From talking to the U-Haul representative about this charge, he said there was a picture showing wood chips. I was nowhere near wood chips! Also, while I was waiting for the repair of the ramp, I took extra care to clean the inside of the box and there truck cab! There was nothing to clean and I believe this was just a scam! I am waiting for a response from the U-Haul representative about my concerns and hope to receive the $25 fee backâ€¦Marc L.

I have used Uhaul multiple times over the years. My husband and I have been moving every year for the past 5 years. Just in the last 3 years alone I have rented multiple trucks, 2 trailers, and a boat/rv storage unit from them. I have never had any issues until this last time. We rented a trailer from them to only be charged extra for no reason what so ever. When we got the trailer to our destination we went to turn it in a day early at the location given to us. When we arrived at the location we were told, â€œwe are no longer doing business with Uhaul and we would have to take it somewhere elseâ€. We called Uhaul to see if there was another location we could return the trailer to nearby, after 15 minutes we have a new location, 20 min away from the location we were originally at. No big deal, however the place was going to be closed now by the time we arrived but we knew we could do the online return. We got to the 2nd location, parked in a safe, appropriate spot and started the online return. The website would never let us go past the 2nd step in the return unless we said the trailer was dirty, which it wasn't. Even though it was only $15 I didn't want to pay a cleaning fee for a unit that didn't need cleaning. I tried returning on my husbands phone and same thing happened. We called Uhaul and spent a total on 1 hr just trying to return the trailer. The next day we receive a charge and receipt for $35, $15 for cleaning and $20 for â€œafter hoursâ€. Mind you NO ONE helped us â€œafter hoursâ€. Of course we called Uhaul to try and get this sorted out. It's been a week starting a case, talking to representatives and managers only to get told they could refund us the $20 but not the $15 for the cleaning fee because there were a â€œcouple twigsâ€ in the back of the trailer. They also mentioned that this location was under investigation. Needless to say I won't be using Uhaul again after this poor service.Mason C.

Operator had closed early. Left no note to this effect. Charged an after hour fee, I dropped the rental at 4 P.M. a day early, and charged a cleaning fee after I had cleaned the rental. I highly recommend NOT using this location.Ken J.
When I arrived to Waynesville North Carolina, I called the 1-800 number and they direct me to drop trailer off at this location. Location was closed but I was told to leave trailer on the lot. Few days later I drove 20 mi to return the eight blankets that I did not request and the gentleman at this location told me I had to pay for the blankets $6 each and I owed him $20 for dropping the trailer off at his lot. To say the least I turn around and left his property. He was very unprofessionalMark S.

I rented a trailer from Florida a 6 x 12. I went to the location and they were still not open. There was a note on the door on the school building. I put my contract inside where it said put contract. Before I dropped off the trailer I made sure it was swept not that it really needs sweeping because there was really nothing in except boxes. That afternoon I noticed I was charged $15 for a cleaning fee for a trailer. She scammed $15 out of me. It's not the $15 it's the point that I even took a picture of the trailer empty and clean. It was a mud pit. Leo (owner) needs to put some gravel down. I didn't appreciate getting my shoes muddy due to his swampTodd S.
The agent at this location is helpful and knowledgeable. The problem is the office is very cluttered. Also, the equipment is stored on a lot that is part gravel and the rest is dirt. Attempting to get into the truck you have to step in nothing but mud which is then transferred to the interior of the truck. The driver's side floor board was dirty and then I put more mud on it. I cleaned the interior when I got home. I am not sure the drop off location would have accepted it if I left it in that condition.Mark M.

Nothing wrong with location. Uhaul needs to work on software, to allow customers to checkin their rental drop off properly using the online or app return process. ( After sign in and click drop off link it asks you to click location button and then just loops back to start. )Brad G.

U-Haul corporate delayed pickup for an hour because the vendor is located in a place with little cell/internet service, so I had to wait until shop opened. (I had arranged for early pickup through the app.) Then vendor had to do all the paperwork again, despite the fact that I had done it all online. So I received my truck an hour late, which meant I was an hour behind on my pickup. The warehouse where I was going told me "you're late" and put me back in line, waiting for 50 minutes. This would not have happened if Uhaul had made my truck available at the contracted time. So I was late, and returned the truck late, and vendor said I would be charged for a second day. If Uhaul is going to offer early pickup using the internet, it should ensure the vendor has wifi covering their parking lot, so the transaction can actually occur and the customer can get the truck on time. I called Uhaul on the phone while waiting and there was absolutely nothing they could do except "wait for the vendor to show up."JONATHAN A.
Leo was okay, he completed the application while i was there, said i was â€œgood to goâ€ and that he would email me the remaining partâ€¦it never came, i told him it never came, he said â€œokayâ€. So when I returned home I went to uhaul.com and completed the application myselsf, the on line sign up process was terrible, i filled out all required content. Cost me hours of time at scheduled pick up time while i was paying a moving crew $250 hour. Not to mention wasted 30 minutes in store while Leo dicked around and another 30 minutes at home on line navigating the ridiculous on lin sign up which didnt work anyway.JAMES A.

The guy charged me 25.00 cleaning fee. The truck was clean and swept out. He would not check the truck out while i was there. He told me to leave key on the table and he would do it later. Then i see where he charged me after i left.Ricky S.

Parking Lot is a mud hole. Hardly no cellphone service so making a online reservation is almost impossible.Richard C.
The hours to this location is 1030am to 530pm. The store clerk did not show up until 11:15am. He did not have my contract ready or the truck. The truck is filthy in the back of the storage area and inside the cabin was sticky, had trash everywhere, and smelled horrible. The store clerk never went over the truck with me. There was damage on the mirror. He never bothered to report anything or ensure that the equipment was marked off. No communication from the store clerk, he was rude and completely unorganized. The location was disgusting on the inside and out as well.keara B.

My original drop location refused my return. Then uhaul gave me another drop location in downtown Sylva that didn't exist. How about creating a warning on you dealer locator page that clearly states not accepting returns. I drove 35 miles and lost 2hrs trying to return my trailer.ALBERTO M.
Leo was GREAT! He explained everything to me very clearly & was very patient with me and all of my questions:) I cleaned the truck myself and filled it up with fuel. I wasn't charged anything extra!! The place was fine. U-Haul scheduling is a different story. You make a reservation a week in advance for one thing and they will change it and make you go an hour farther. They called it an upgrade but it's not upgrade if that's not what you wanted. After talking with 6 different people I finally got the place I wanted but not the truck. I rented a trailer for three days and a dozen pads. Even though I returned the trailer and pads on time, I was charged for an additional two days and a dozen pads. I went back to the place of rental and explained the overcharge to the agent. He agreed with me and said a credit to my card would be issued by the corporate office. That promise was made nearly two months ago and I have yet to hear any response or see any credit!John C.

Didn't have the 20' truck that I was guaranteed would be there, the check engine light came on in the truck on the way back to the drop off location, and I noticed an actual cut in the side of the tire that was there when we picked up the truck.
