The person did not communicate well, and this lead to a potential issue when he did not put down the correct drop-off location instead of the address we provided him. Completely unnecessary issue after a long day of unpacking. We will absolutely NOT recommend the Mattress Goddess for UHaul lol.

MARK GHad a 9’ van reserved a week & a half in advance but the location still didn’t have it available. Waited over an hour for the office to open (remote pick-up at 1 but office didn’t open until 2) but they never showed. Was forced to use a 26’ box truck to avoid having to reschedule a different contract for the following week. Almost the same situation happened to me 2 months prior at the Sylva location! Both times was told I’d get a $50 credit to make up for the mistake but never received anything! Genuinely considering going with Budget rentals next time.

This location has the best selection of equipment, but the location is a dump. The trump flag on the property means I will not be back.

LAURA WThe whole parking area was a mud hole with trucks and trailers everywhere. There were no signs where to park returns and no rhyme or reason to the other uhauls were parked. As I backed the trailer into a clear spot between truck and trailer, a guy came shuffling out and yelled at me that trailers don't go there, don't you see the trucks and it should be common sense. He pointed where he wanted it parked (which was blocking other trailers). When I was in place, he proceeded to unhook the trailer from my truck, without asking and dropped the toung of the trailer on the ground. He grumbled the entire time about where I parked and it should have been common sense. When I told him I needed to take pictures of the trailer, he said do what you want, and walked back inside. The business is nasty and the employee was equally nasty.
LISA CLocation was muddy and treacherous. Difficult to get around, and exit onto highway. There was no one there to help, everything had to be done online through the app. Truck was damaged in several places but satisfied my needs.

Joseph SWhat you can do is have your U-Haul representatives point out in the fine print that you’re not responsible for trucks that leak water. Just another way for a company to save money and put it on the back of the customers to lose money this truck was OK, but it was my last truck November leaked water and U-Haul and infinite wisdom, remind me of a quote without a paddle and he did nothing to help not even reimbursement part of the rental lawyers so you can depend on the little guy to keep you in business but squash them if they squirm out of control or get out of line to U-Haul
David CMy dad when to the first location on 653 Scotts creek RD, Sylva NC 28779 and the owner of this place was very rude with my father and because he got there 4pm and the owner want to close early, he refuses to give him the trailer we reserved for that day. When the store close at 5pm. So, I have to call to U-Haul on customer service they were very nice to us and find us other location to pick up the trailer.
Nicole AOwner/manager was rude, mouthy. yelled about how dirty the trailer was, even thought we had blown out the entire bottom of the trailer to remove rocks and debris from the trailer before we loaded it up with a lawn mower. This made it safer to travel on the 700+ mile trip on Interstate highways. I offered to sweep out the trailer, then as the owner came back with a broom, he was very rude, which led into a fuss between us. WILL NEVER RECOMEND THIS U-HAUL PLACE TO ANYONE. Maybe u-haul could look into this place>

GARY NBait and switch scammer, you reserve one thing online and get a confirmation only to show up and he doesn’t even have it, then lies to you and says you’ll get it for the same price, but instead he cancels your reservation and re-reserves you for whatever he has at double the price. And then when you request a refund you only get a portion of that back. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else and stay away from this scammer. And the corporate customer service is useless for help getting any money back from this guy
ROBERT WThe man was good and quite efficient. I do have a challenge with the need to "return clean". When i looked around and in the truck before leaving it was clean, as expected. Their lot was a combination of gravel, mud, and grass. When I stepped into the cab of the truck, I had mud on my shoes and it tracked in on the rubber floor mats. When I returned the truck, the rep told me that I needed to clean the truck cab's floor or he would charge me a cleaning fee!!??
JAY HI had originally reserved a truck to pick up in Fletcher NC 2 weeks prior to pick up date. 2 days prior to pick up, U-Haul emailed saying my truck wouldn’t be at original pick up place and gave me an address 40miles further away. Drove there to pick up truck and they were closed and truck wasn’t set up for mobile pick up. Called customer service and was told they had no way of knowing if truck was there or not. They connected me with someone else who was able to locate a truck that was already set up for mobile pick up but it was an hour and 20min in the other direction. Went to now the 3rd location to pick up truck and was unable to to mobile pick up but luckily there was someone there to assist me in getting my truck. Overall, horrible experience.

Gregory CLocation itself wasn't the best. With big rocks instead of gravel in the entrance. That could easily damage vehicle and trailer tires. Secondly the lights on one side of the trailer was out due to broken wires underneath that was hanging. And damaged/pinched wires on the front of the trailer that I didn't notice because the attendant hooked up the trailer. The ground (white) wire broke eventually. So I put a connector on it so the tail lights would work.

DAVID AI have a $186 charge for something that I have no idea about. The individual that “worked” there told me everything was fine. The truck was clean and returned promptly. I have no idea where this charge came from and I will be reaching out to corporate to figure it out!
ADAM RVery difficult to deal access and no help. When I returned truck on Saturday afternoon, early, the app failed the return process. The location had to manually return the truck on Monday, next day they were there. They tacked on a lot if bogus charges.

NICK PParking lot was basically a big mud puddle. The whole rental process was terrible. I went online a couple weeks before my move and ordered a 15' truck from a different location. About noon the day before the rental date I received a text saying that my rental had been changed to a 26' truck and that someone would call before 5pm to confirm. I waited several hours with no call. Since I did not need or want that large of a truck I called customer service, which was not a good experience. Between the long hold times I was transferred to four different people before I finally got someone that could help and found a 15' truck at this location, however this location did not open until 10:30 on Saturday, where the first one opened at 8:00. No problem, I was told I could use the App and pickup when I wanted. That was also a nightmare and there was nothing easy or convenient about it. First problem was the App would not recognize that I was at the correct location, it said I was not and it would not allow me to proceed any further. I called the customer service number I was given, it was a little before 8am. After a very long hold someone finally answered the phone. I explained the problem and the rep immediately said she needed to transfer me to another location. Again on hold, meanwhile I had my wife call the 800 number from the website on her phone to see if they would answer. Someone finally answered from the 800 number and was able to help, she had me log into the website instead of using the App (which is what U-Haul recommends). The rep wanted to disconnect once that issue was resolved, but I insisted she walk me through the rest of the process in cause there was another issue ( which there was) and I would have to wait on hold forever again. I was at the pickup location for an 1 hour and 15 minutes. That first number I called transferred me into the abyss, no one ever answered. U-Haul has a serious issue with customer service and the online pickup process.

ken aI don’t know if the location was clean or inviting we didn’t see anyone or go inside a building. Was a big field with U-Haul. What I would like to comment on is Ryno’s in Canton NC. We tried to drop off there and the gate was locked with a chain and no one would answer the phone and we were there after the posted opening hours. So we had to drive 20 mins further (45 mins out of our way) to drop at the Waynesville location at Mattress Goddess. And I was on hold trying to reach someone from U-Haul to talk to the entire drive from Canton to Waynesville

Took it back and was charged a cleaning fee. Plead my case but the guy working didn’t care. I will never rent from U-Haul or this place again.

I will absolutely never recommend this location for both U-Haul business and their own business. I feel like I am being scammed by this business.
