It's just a drop off location. Not much to talk about, maybe better signage to the drop off key box. And better explanation on the app when you are returning the equipment to leave the other uhual products used in the truck.Joshua G.
The customer service was poor. I don't remember the last time I left a place feeling so mistreated. The guy at the desk barely looked at me, and directed all his questions to my father who was there with me, even though the rental was in my name. The truck worked great for my needs. Owner didn't know how to navigate the U-Haul site, kept us waiting and waiting as well as the client behind us because though he's been in the business for quite a while, didn't understand that he had to show the trailer that was delivered on the Sunday as "received" so that he could complete our order to take it. Then, upon inspecting the trailer before departure, we found a screw lodged in the trailer's driver's rear tire and his response was, "Oh, yeah, that's been in there for a week." He did make an appointment for us to get the tire repaired but it took us another half hour at the tire dealership to get that resolved which all totaled left us over an hour behind schedule. NOT appreciated!Rod W.
The man working was so unbelievably rude to us this morning. First he told us we had no reservation, then he lectured me about booking online. He kept interrupting me every time i spoke. I've never received such poor customer service. It was awful! This was my first time renting a uhaul and it will be the last.sean S.

The check in process through the U-Haul website does not work. It wants to check the location of your phone while checking in, we tried on two phones with location services on, it didn't work. If that step doesn't work, you can't go any further. Not a good system.Cheryl W.

Try out/ drive by maintenance personnel the vehicles, to the satisfaction of customers. For instance: engin noise, power to drive with full load etc.. or instruct or relate to customers any needed knowledge. Customers serviceRichard P.

the gentleman I spoke to had a very poor attitude toward customers, basically saying he didn't care that I was told I could pick up my open, flatbed car mover trailer., that he wouldn't have one... the lady that actually Did rent me the trailer was a bit friendlier, but she and the office reeked of cigarette smokejerry H.

Trailer was dirty inside and out. The electrical wires were rotten and exposed to the weather. No cord to connect from the truck to the trailer. This trailer is at the end of its service life.steve H.
We had summer tires on our rental. We had a winter storm during our 2 day move. We got stuck in snow due to tires. Truck came from Arizona. We live in BC in snow belt. It was extremely stressful and dangerous.Rachel R.

The person that did my paperwork was not pleasant at all, even over the phone when I originally started the booking process. So rude in fact that I chose the other location as my pick up location (they didn't have what I needed). The wait was horrendous, it seemed that I was the least important customer. I will never go to this location again.Cheri M.

I feel like I was heavily overcharged. The location did not have the vehicle I needed and instead gave me a much larger vehicle. I was charged full rate plus $.69 per km. I had the vehicle for only a few hours and it cost me $117. Poor value compared to my many past experiences with u-Haul.James B.

The 2 wheel cart that I rented with the truck and trailer was removed from the truck when I went back to pick it up. I didn't end up using the trailer and only received $78 back. Never again.David B.

Returning thru the APP was not user friendly. There was no instructions prior to so we didn't know we would have to take â€œliveâ€ pictures. My husband returned the truck and I was managing the return online. So we couldn't use the pics he took etc. Very frustrating experience. So I'm paying the $20 drop off fee because our location was not open Saturday.Leslie S.

When I reserved this unit, I was quoted $44.00 for 2 days. Today we were charged $98.00 for a 2 day rental. This is double was we were told we would be charges for when I reserved several weeks ago. This is wrong!!! I am really not happy with this rate doubling at this location!James J.
The cost overall was very high for the length of time the small trailer was used. I had the 5 by 8 trailer for 48 hrs and it was over $500. I wouldn't recommend u haul to a friend as a result. I discovered after the fact that I could have rented a larger trailer for a full week at half the cost.... 250 give or take a few bucks. Before u rent u haul be sure to look at all alternatives.Dennis C.

This was the worst Uhaul experience I have had. First you tell people you cant guarantee the equipment until the day before or where it might be. This is an appalling way to run a business! People moving 10 hours away dont have the luxury of just sitting around waiting for you to say yes or no you can move now. I wanted to change my pick up date but the lady I dealt with at this location was extremely unpleasant and unhelpful. She told me they did not have the equipment I wanted, which was a lie, because when I called your 1888 # they verified that location did indeed have what I needed. This all happened during a horrible and stressful time for me in my life and topping it off with the Covid virus. All I wanted to do was get home to my family. I spent a thousand dollars with your company and when I returned the truck to the Surrey location the man there was trying to charge me for gas. I returned the truck with the same amount of gas. After arguing, finally he did not charge me and gave me my deposit back. I can honestly say that I hate your company and will never use you again if I can avoid it.Grace I.

Proper parking lot maintenance during winter. Uhaul truck was stuck in its spot, spent 10 minutes on my own and then requested someone help me which took another 10 minutes. Otherwise the sales woman at this location is excellent! She knows her stuff off the top of her head, she is fast and very friendly! #1 reason I choose this location.Brittany B.

The truck was dirty, one back-up light not working and they said they don't worry about that, and they did wash it when we took it back after phoning them to say it was dirty.WAYNE S.
Person handling paperwork very nice, and very professional. Equipment was dirty (trash in cab, cargo box unswept and dirty), no windshield washer fluid or pump broken. That was a safety issue to discover on the road... i returned the vehicle in better condition than i received it. is this what U-Haul has come to?Charles J.

Everything was great only issue was when we picked up truck in cranbrook bc when I ordered the truck person person ask if I needed anything ex trolley , boxes. And I ask if I could get them later at site cause I wasn't sure yet and told I could , but when we got there we couldn't get boxeslorie M.

Customer service was good. One tire blew out only 30 miles into the trip and no spare tire. The tires are bias ply and the tire pressure was lower than required for the load rating as well as a warn. The agent fixed and got us going promptly.Tom L.

The lady at the front counter was absolutely terrible to deal with, very poor attitude and I felt like I was bothering her with just me being there. She did not go over the contract with me, she did not go out to the truck with me and go over anything at all. It was blocked in when I went to move it so I had to go back in to the office to ask here to move another cube van so I could get my truck out and she rolled her eyes at me and said "for f**k sakes." Make sure the equipment is working - wiring was hanging down, wiring from the trailer to the truck was broken (so the right hand signal/break light wouldn't work), and a tire kept losing air.KENT F.

Absolutely DO NOT deal with this location! The woman is extremely rude, unorganized and miserable. The office is dirty and run down. Even watching her interact with another staff member was cringe-worthy. She over charged us and almost seemed happy by our frustration. She will just say to you, SORRY I DONT WORK FOR UHUAL, IT"S ALL UHUAL'S FAULT! Needless to say a joke, there are two UHUAL locations in Cranbrook, USE THE OTHER ONE. DO NOT USE....McGibbons Auto and Truck Repair. They seriously suck.ERIC B.
lot where units are held is in very rough condition and you need a 4x4 just to pick up your trailer, rep sold me a 2" trailer ball which I didn't need. told me the 1 7/8" ball I had would not fit even though it's stamped on the trailer that it accepts both sizes.Jason B.
I was called the day before my trailer pick up telling me my trailer was ready... in Nelson, BC; a 3 hour drive away, for my in town move. I wasn't interested in driving 6 hours just to pick up a trailer so I got stuck with a trailer two sizes down from what I ordered. I booked over a week in advance so it's not like there wasn't time for them to tow a trailer in from another location.Daniel B.
